As a young teenager I stayed with a family in Toulouse to improve my French and well remember seeing the film Mondo Cane in the local cinema and falling for the theme music. Some months later the film arrived in Birmingham Uk (my home town)in an "art" cinema that normally ran smut but for some reason the film ran for months. I can only suspect the music had something to do with it. A melody that can be played in almost any style. The music made the film unforgetable even after 50 years
