omygosh...the griffin case with the carbon fibre that they gave me is different...they gave me one with an oval on the flash and camera...and the case is WAY too lose...im only relising this now..

I have all of these cases too. I'd say the best ones are the PSHD if you want protection and don't mind a little bulk and Snap Smoke (not so much the clear one) if you want light and snap on

Good! I made the right choice, I got the Speck PixelSkin HD, pretty awsome case, not bulky at all. My cousin got the Griffin Reveal Etch, well, it has a carbon fiber back but its hard. I like my case much better, I have it for over 2 months now, we ordered our cases back in July, he got his Griffin Reveal etch within 1 month I got my Speck PixelSkin HD after 6 weeks! Crazy but its all worth it.

What do you think: Griffin Reveal Etch or the Bumper?

Choosing from within the Case Program (almost no time left!)

Looking for something that looks good, and I like the original looks a lot. Something that adds protection (to the sides, I'd assume, is most important) in case of dropping onto hard surfaces like concrete and elevates the front/back a little. Adds a little bit of a grip but not too much.

I like the Incase Snap Case too but that seems like it'd slide around.

thx for the review on these cases! they are very informative and I ended up going for the Motif. I don't really like the gel texture but it'll do for now since I'm plannin on buying a body glove case once they make a cool one like the Viper.

@paffop yep, it's a scratch magnet. and fingerprints. and i have some dust trapped on the inside. but luckily the iphone 4 that it was ordered with was defective so when the new one came i got to choose a different case. i got the pixelskin hd

Don't get the pixelskin HD! They changed they case and it does not look like that. It is much harder and so hard that you can't press the sleep/wake button. I just want people to know that there are now TWO versions of the speck pixelskin HD. You've been warned!

I would also like to know about the best screen protectors (front & back) that you can recommend, since I got this new iPhone I have been using the Switcheasy ones as that company used to make stellar product, alas, no more. The protectors gets oily looking marks on em after they have been used and exposed to the heat produced by the phone.

i ordered the pixel skin hd through the apple case program and still haven't got it. It says it ships by september 20. I ordered the day the program started. Its funny be the speck website says that they are ready to ship. Why does mine take so much longer?

the tartan case really sucked. I got the iphone 4 bumper, but my mum chose the tartan speck... it broke within 2 weeks.

might just of been bad luck, but I really don't reccomend it.

I'm quite disgusted with my green Bumper (I paid for it, and it was refunded). It seems to be losing its shape. It's starting to become flabby and doesn't sit tight like it did originally. Looking forward to my free PixelSkin HD, which should be here next week.

I have to say the Pixelskin HD is my favourite of the lot closely followed by the Incase Snap. I have to say though I have the original edition of the PixelskinHD with the Keyhole camera cut out and I have NEVER had any LED flash issues. My previous throw away case interfered badly but not the HD (and I have tested it extensively). So I'm quite puzzled by your comment. As always, excellent review! Looking forward to your next!

@Kamikazekman It washes out the image. Take a picture with the case and without and compare. I believe Speck acknowledged this and the reason for the redesign.

@wwwinsanelygreatmac Thats the thing.... I did. I used the flash with the case on and off in different darkened conditions and after careful scrutiny, I honestly could not see the difference. I was so impress by that fact that I went out and bought a back up! lol Sad I know. I know from experience that their CandyShell range does interfere... Which they are sending me their revised version. Maybe I just got lucky?
