  • I think Synchronicity 1 is the better of the two. Something to rock out to on a beach

  • forward synchronicity 1 & 2 good idea

  • both are great, but I prefer Synch 1 because I always liked the Police a bit more when they played fast and furious.

  • I am not he biggest police fan but this song is great..meaningful powerful and spiritual

  • Sting is a good song wirter. I like sting but he needs to keep his clothes on.

  • IF YOU DON'T LIKE: SUCK...

  • 6 people hate your "6 people..." Jokes >.>

  • there is nothing more pathetic than an aging hipster. The police are the shit but they look homo on that album cover

  • @GunYou1 "Homo" is now the new hipster!

  • @pheggie i was a homo....wner

  • This was everyday listening for the masses stuck in traffic and deep smog, racing to get home to fix dinner and do it all over again in the morning. The 80's rat race was fun, looking back now, it really took a toll on our lives, but the music was still great!

  • 6 people are not in sinc

  • @iupsilons Actually representing the whole 'N Sync crew and the mother who thought of the name.

  • Carl Jung approves.

  • 6 people that didn't like this, ate paint chips as children. This is awesome!!!

Peace to the world in 2012.

  • 6 people like to watch paint dry

  • 6 people don't like 6/4 time. Weird...

  • This song is absolutely badass to gig live; one of the few tunes in 6/4 that people dig.

  • Synchronicity eh @rahmsj #MetaSynchronicity WOW ~!

  • Synchronicity when re-examined in greater state of awareness all i can say is WOW

  • IT'S A DEBILITATING KICK IN THE CROUCH!

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!

  • musicgasm

  • Wrong album cover :/

  • «new wave»......

  • funny when i was ten (im 14 now) the police got back together and where having a world tour and the day they perform in melbourne (where i live) my dad showed me my first police song and it was this song perfect synchronicity :D

  • I'm here because of Drive

  • i prefer part 2 because its calmer and its on the radio more

  • 6 people thought it said dis-i-like.

  • God synchronicity 1 is so intense!!!!

  • Luv it!

  • i liked the police in thier day coz u could not help but luv their popular catchy songs .so i could not wait see them live at the isle of wight festival, sadley i was kind of dissapointed coz instead of playing the songs as i new them they played long convoluted versions that u just could not sing along to.perhaps they got bored playing the same old stuff and thought they would spice them up .

  • @gurtsmunta Ah, I dunno...progress, such a bitch isn't it?

  • Many miles away theres a shadow on the door of six people

  • THIS WAS DEFINATELY THEIR BEST SHIT EVER!

  • Of 0:00 to 0:10 It's the sound of our college

  • nearly 30 years later and still amazing. pop musicians will never make music this well again. Ya, there've been great bands since these guys and some cool songs to sing along with, but this stuff was the sound and the understanding of humanity for Western people at the end of the 20th century and perhaps beyond. From the Jungian thought in the lyrics to the backmasking and complicated layers of the sound. Such energy and synergy! Only band since the Beatles to stretch pop music. Maybe the last.

  • I just thought I would stop by and THANK YOU Schbopo for having awesome taste in music and uploading this :) You rock!!!

  • Posted on November 23rd ;-)

  • @AlmostOpie My B-day...always a good day..;) *Syncronicity* ;)

  • That one part is awesome... but the other part is better.

  • @widdlepuddyfat "Isn't".

  • @TheVicariousx *woosh*

  • this is great

  • fantastic song of the police i love it

  • i think 6 people missed the like button...

  • @mdermes

yea probably dyslecticsor maybe simply retards lol

  • @mdermes or 6 people still take opposite day seriously

  • @mdermes they werent stang, or stung, they were stinged

  • @mdermes yes, problem of synchronicity !

  • @mdermes it was accidental.thats all.

  • Both I and II are of course truly great. When this came out so many years ago now, the Police were my idea of the coolest possible form of intelligently-crafted pop ecstasy... and Synchronicity was just the cream at the top. I wore the record out... guess it still works.

  • wonderful!!!!!

  • i love this song!!!

  • Marvellous stuff - my fave is II

  • Pure poetry!!!!

  • Just as the first documented profession, The police made it big with a song about a prostitute who was given a name even.

  • ghost in the machine and this album back to back was heyday for this band; sting was right to leave when he did, no where to go but down; his solo career would be superb without any police; add them together and its quite an impressive musical body of work...

  • Based on the principle of synchronicity by Jung. Even without the deeper meaning, Sync I and II are powerful songs from a bygone era of great rock.

  • I prefer 1 over 2 not because of it's rhythm but of it's lyrics. 1 explains the concept of synchronicity and 2 tells a story about a man with a family of mental illness and a tough life which leads to the awakening of the Scottish Loch Ness Monster (pretty creepy to me).

  • What the.. i think i just got laid

    0_o

  • Scrantonicity!!!

  • @67able1 LOL, been there. Sucked.

  • These songs really have no connection. I always viewed Synchronicity I as kind of scary, Synchronicity II was just a pretty ok pop rock tune to me.

  • @illinoisdemon scary?? It's big. it makes you feel like you have the power inside you to move mountains or blow up the world or something. Is that what you mean? Just the sheer force of it?

  • @groovylocks I can't really describe how it has always made me feel, but part 1 is kind of scary, just the sound and I guess the sheer force of it.

  • I think both parts 1 and 2 are the best of this song

  • @Cazkumali I disagree. I think parts 2 and 1 are the best.

  • I like the second part better :P

  • My girlfriend asked me several times this weekend if I like the Police... Told you I could play this stuff Baby Doll... ;-) My 2 Favorite Police songs.

  • These songs have like no connection at all?...

  • @Boid55 Is "intellectual intuition". Basically, meaning, humans don't know shit. haha

  • @Boid55 actually, they r synchronicitized

  • @Boid55 I agree 100% I is kind of a scary tune. I like II because it is not quite as scary

  • wooow; grandissimi.

  • Do you believe that social media could start leading people from all over the world to synchronize on certain levels like creating world peace, ending world hunger, saving our planet, or the need for more renewable energy??!!??

  • Do you believe that social media could start leading people from all over the world to synchronize on certain levels like creating world peace, ending world hunger, saving our planet, or the need for more renewable energy??!!??

  • Rush has been around since the '60's, and are still around today. They've outlasted the police!

  • the police ruled the 80;s

  • Great video idea!

    And great songs, of course.

  • Beautiful....

  • YES!!!! I love these songs!!!!!

  • GREAT MUSIC HITTING ON ALL CYLINDERS..... period.........

  • @CapriSunClassic They influenced Rush alot from Signals/Grace Under Pressure onwards.

  • this two songs are awesome! this band made many great songs, synchronicity 1 and 2 are great!

these songs are one of my favourites :)

  • This is great.

I wish someone would upload a version of Murder By Numbers, like this, with just an album cover...without the video montage of murderers ... you know, the people you hoped you'd never have to lay eyes on again? yeah, that would be cool.

  • this is really great, putting these together.. these are the songs that truly put gordon in a league with anybody. lennon, townshend, jagger.. anyone you care to name etcetera etcetera...

  • Wow these songs are AWESOME. :o

  • HOOOOOOO-OOOOOOO-OOOO!!! HOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOO-OOOO!!!

  • @frankthejake591 xd no

  • this is the evidence music was something before the zeroos. Ohhh i wish it come back and now.realy fast. Sting never had to left the band.

  • @frankthejake591 congrats, you're just making yourself look even dumber and more immature!

  • the two greatest songs from the police.

  • i can't tell what's more depressing; idiots on youtube or the people who like to argue with the idiots.

  • @RBarnhardt1 Sorry I'm 24... But I Never Use TV to listen Music... That's for Idiots!

    See ya'... Dumbass...

  • MTV Never Ruled... THAT' SUCK!

  • @BillyKip It ruled in the 80's when if first came out. Now I don't think it even has anything to do with music.

  • @BillyKip mtv was great in the 80's, before i was around and definitly before you too; you act as it you're 11

  • Well that Bieber will get all youtube shows a thumbdown from me Musuic is dying from commercial decay and lack of artistry

  • geniales...

  • This is probably my favorite song ever. There is never a dull moment, it has an exciting and cool sound, and is memorable. Thanks for uploading both parts into one video!

  • Great idea by connecting the 2 songs

    thanks

  • @TheVikaDoll It`s februari 6 2011 and there are 7 strangers on this earth

    Unbelievable

  • Packed like lemmings into shiny boxes contestants in a suicidal race!

  • @Kingrob30 whooooow what a great way to put it..i agree..

  • @alinn71 I can't take any credit they wrote the song but thanks anyway. Peace!

  • The guy on the right reminds me of a goat.

  • @Jalreal At least he's the one beating the skins, rather than being the one getting skinned.

  • @Jalreal Y isnotthis the number 1 comment?

  • 5 people Dislike this? XDD obviously not children of the 80s..

  • @lolwut71

    I'm a child of the 60's :)

  • Many miles away something crawls from the slime at the

Bottom of a dark Scottish lake...

  • fucking powerfull song!

  • andy summers is really the one holding the band together, if it wasn't for him the police wouldn't sound as good Sting is a great bass player but he's not the best and its the same with the guitar player

  • @monkywithmachineguns lmao Andy Summers is the guitar player!!!!

  • @monkywithmachineguns

But Sting can Really sing, he has a hell of a voice and if he wrote the lyrics...damn. This song really doesn't give him credit for his vocals, but the words to Sync 1, and others like King of Pain and Spirits in a Material world, geez the lyrics are phenomenal.

  • @CapriSunClassic i believe they were around the same time.

  • are the guys in this band really ex-cops?

  • @derek4ur thats right. Its a little known fact. They were relieved of their duties for numerous drug offences, insubordination and refusing to wear the uniform.

  • @lifereguard figures. well at least they make great rock stars.

  • @derek4ur lol no.

  • always loved them, but Synchronicity 2 just has a dynamics that stand out in their compared to the other things in their catalogue, thanks for loading it!

  • by it's very design this band was destined to implode, but, man, what they managed to create before it came down! AWESOME! never, ever will there be another band like this!

  • Could anyone confirm this? - I heard or read somewhere sometime that even the drum lines or beats were written by Sting. Apparently he built them using software, and then brought the tapes to Copeland and told him to 'just play them'. It seems all that overbearing from Sting was the proverbial straw that broke The Police's back.

  • @vittorioabr I know that Sting and Copeland not getting along was a huge factor in the band breaking up but I don't know about Sting writing the drum lines on a computer but I suppose it's possible. I was writing music on a computer at age 12 back in 1983 so I'm sure that a man in Sting's position had access to some very advanced music technology at the time.

  • possibly my 2nd favorite song of the police(or maybe synchronicity 2), after king of pain

  • I love the Police. They are true musicians. And the fans are great too. When do you ever see comments relating to wine or arpeggios in other videos? This is just an intelligent place to be.

  • Like a good bottle of wine, this music has aged exquisitely. It doesn't even sound old, and when was it released?

  • @Cereghini yea I wonder why it doesn't sound dated?

  • Andy's arpeggio guitar work over the fourth bar of Synchro 2 still sounds SO exquisite after all these years!!! Absolutely beautiful!

  • Both songs are great. Thanks for uploading them together.

  • While my favorite band is Metallica, before I had even heard of them I loved The Police. They were, and will always be, amazing.

  • anytime I need to be musically refreshed I listen to the police

  • @danholland1975- filling up your Police quota at the end of the month. lol

  • @unmedication

    Drat. Didn't think so.

  • @unmedication

I guess we're not lucky enough that you really mean it.

  • @unmedication

How should it hurt my feelings that you can't fully enjoy a fantastic work of art? I can also tell a miserable wannabe scenester from those grudging non-compliments. I bet you call the Police "relevant for two albums" just like your favorite Snow Patrol record is "solid." So, hoho. Haha. I get to enjoy this magical lyric and you don't. Woo you got me.

  • @unmedication

You must be from that one town, Everything I hate and despise in this world-Ville.

  • Part 2 used to be the summer theme on MTV for a Police summer concert. We used to always sing "grandmother screaming at her balls" as teenagers while cruising the hot streets of Phoenix with no airconditioning drinking hot beer! The good ol days! Thankgod i grew up in the 80's, it doesn't seem much fun these day's to be a kid!

  • Got an ad by Google says "3 guitar mistakes"

Those 3 mistakes are disliking this video the first, second and third time. :)

  • nobody cracked a snare harder....

  • i love it!!!

  • loving it

  • Shit, I still remember all of the words.

  • Usually the 1st of anything is the best... but SYNCHRONICITY II is the best song of all time

  • This sounds fucking awesome together.

  • @CaptainHollyShort

I would disagree. I think they sound better when when you play them one after another, they don't sound so hot playing at the same time together.

haha (don't worry i know what you meant. I was just kidding, and I actually have an IQ, unlike the rest of you tube)

  • @penguinpoop4 I did not expect my words to be interpreted that way, but now that you mention it, I could play them at the same time! :P

  • @penguinpoop4 Ouch!! (Naw, just kidding) :-)

  • When music was good. And MTV ruled.

  • @rgs4x

Heheh... I refer to it as being when the 'M' actually stood for "Music".

  • @rgs4x

Yea MTV sux now...too commercial, and Rarely anything rock. All those stupid reality shows. Why do they call them Reality? They ain't.

  • @rgs4x video killed the radiostar... then music televionsion killed the video.... then Vh1 killed nickelodeon then mtv2 killed Oprah, then Oprah swallowed instead-

man and shit, The food channelz said fuck it "let them all eat cake".... this is where you want to go to the History channel before they start showing brand new episodes of "Repeats"

  • @rgs4x seems logical MTV once was about the expressionof ART, then the expression of commercial/money grubs, then there are tv shows for children and tv shows for whatever else,

not sure what happened to the music....may be similar to Mr Holland's Opus.

Because a former horn student works there, that is all folks......

  • @rgs4x Hard to imagine this type of music is going to be 30 years old. When the Police broke up, they passed the torch to U2. Loved old U2 but they lost me after "Rattle and Hum", then the rap crap/hip-hop/boy band sounds blew in with guys with no real singing talent or instrument composing ability. MJ could real dance well but his songwriting & singing abilities were average. Sychroncity was better album than Thriller.

Current music scene is full of pretty faced no depth singer who all flash.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Good to find like minded. U2 most definately left me at Joshua Tree but can find their lyrics upto that dance pop thing they did in the 90's still contributed but the musical vechile to carry them had long gone.

Rap is all about capping some bitch that lives in a society of unemotive robots where the booty shakes their yards and cribs rattle to the sound of the glib glib...

MJ was predictably written for but the police were (through Sting) writers and tunesmiths to the end..

  • @scatmansmooth I'm guessing you're talking about today's rap unless you just don't like the genre at all. If you want check out Run-DMC, A Tribe Called Quest or Public Enemy just to name a few.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7

Your aware that there is music other than what you see on the TV? Try diggin a bit deeper. I guarantee you with 100% certainty. There is still very, very good music out there.

  • @ChainsawVsGod Name somebody that really good today! Few artists are truly good singers who can play an instrument or two, write their own songs & create a true song classic. Sheryl Crowe's a weak singer& John Mayer's boring and stupid. Alicia Keys& Jack White's Bond theme was horrible beyond compare. CVG must like GreenGay, Lady Googoo, No Duh-out, and The Black Eyed Skanks. No thank you modern artists.

I'd rather listen to Eagles, Genesis, Styx, Peter Gabriel, Bowie, PFloyd and the Clash.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7

....Your still just naming extremely popular artists. As I said, if you actually bother to dig a bit deeper with music, you'l find stuff that is 100x better than the mainstream music. Animals as leaders, Mastodon, Akercocke, Clutch, Dream Theater, among many more. Honestly man. Don't be so ignorant with music.

All you look for in a song is a good singer? Not much of a music fan then are you.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 How many modern artists have you really looked at, and not have had spoon fed to you by the media or your peers? Jenny Lewis, Daft Punk, Regina Spektor, Chantal McGregor (the young artist who busted out Jimi Hendrix like nobody's business), Adele, Studio Killers, and all the soundtracks and musicals out there provide excellent examples of great modern music. You'd have to very ignorant to think all the good music is gone.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Also, love that you just had to replace "Day" with "Gay", as if being gay is bad thing (hint: it is'nt). Shows how much of a homophobe you are.

  • @widdlepuddyfat "Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Almighty God hates the sin of homosexuality so much as He sees the act as vile & sickening. Read the passages of 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Romans 1:24-27. I apology for calling a band who's lead singer wears women's eyeliner "gay". But if you think being "GAY" is okay, look at what God thinks. Now back to the music.

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Dude don't bring that shit in here. First of all, wearing eyeliner does not necessarily define one's sexuality. The only things that defines it is how the individual chooses to. Keep in mind you're commenting on a video uploaded by a gay guy

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Sweetheart, the bible also says that eating shrimp and haircuts are sin. So unless you haven't cut your hair since birth, you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @widdlepuddyfat I am not (or ever will be) your sweetheart. The Holiness code you cite is from the Torah (Book of Leviticus) was for cleanliness/dietary restrictions under the Mosiac(Moses) covenant. By these kosher/purity seperation code the Hebrew people lived longer, healthier lives with no apparent need for vaccinations or medicinesof the modern age (No black plague). Mosiac covenant ended with Jesus Christ's resurrection. Sunday became the new Sabbath (day of rest).

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Aw look at you and your cute little fairy tale you call religion. So adorable. :)

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 polio much?

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Also, please don't vote. I don't want to even think about gay people being denied their rights due to your silly beliefs.

  • @widdlepuddyfat I always vote. Being gay is a lifestyle choice(God never made anyone GLBT), not a genetically inherited condition/disposition like one's skin color(race) or diabetes . Almighty God gave mankind free will to chose (obedience to his word as truth or parish into eternal damnation). GOD is the author of marriage. GOD has never changed his mind on his viewpoint on sin and never will. Gays want marriage recognition to support their lifestyle decision as moral and normal. WRONG!!

  • @LuckyBuckyNo7 Well in that case, god sure is an asshole. And also, fuck you you're banned
