you are very cute and your presentation is always clear and concise. keep up the good work.
live your own way and ignore the haters. most haters on here never upload ONE single video but yet feel like they are qualified to input their 2 cents regarding sponsorship... etc..
I remember being on a camping trip one time and had to resort to an emergency blanket. It was cheap, and might as well have been foil since it tore extremely easily. However, my friends did say that I looked like a baked potato when they woke me up. Is this blanket tear resistant?
@thehazemeister I've used these- significantly more robust than the old style mylar sheets. Also quieter, more flexible and it felt warmer but that might have been because I was able to sleep more than ten minutes before it tried to crawl away or crinkled.
Certainly worth the upgrade, both for wilderness and first aid kits. It is the minimal option, but I consider it to the the new baseline with the old mylar sheets below it.
I work for AMK. Hey Roborob42, AMK is NOT a PEAK advertiser. We submitted our products upon request for an honest review -- which we got. We rely on feedback -- whether good or bad -- from folks who use our gear in order to continue to improve our product offering. Thx for the consideration, PEAK. Keep up the great work.
Even if you did make some money putting on these videos I am all for it. Nothing in life is free, and you put a lot of time reviewing these products, and it takes a lot of time to video edit this YouTube videos and upload them. I say make as much money as you can doing your hobby. Most of the people who learn from your videos make money from their jobs and hobbies. You TIME is Money. Go for it. I make money on my YouTube videos selling music.
If you are planning a trip into the wilderness, you should have everything you "think" you will need given the weather in your area. This is a product for someone to carry when they don't plan to be out in the wilderness. Keep one in the glove box of your car or truck. Give it to the next person that is stranded in poor weather without any supporting gear.
Hey, I have a lot of AMK supplies not because of sponsorship or hype but because they work (as I posted in sleeping bag video).
It's good that PeakSurvival is reviewing these because they are readily available and most new campers and outdoorsmen will run into them on line, magazines or stores. So they're going to ask "iI wonder if this any good?" It's best to be safe then sorry.
thanks for info and don't listen to guy about sponsorhip. adventure medical kits is one of the best company's out there and have some of the best gear available for the emergency situation. 5/5
AMK is a good company, we borrowed some demo gear, and as I have said before only a fool goes into the woods with no equipment, why not recommend good gear.
@Rocdenindy have you used or purchased their products before. I was looking at some from my local outdoors store, but wanted to talk to someone who tried them out.
@mrjagill i have purchased both the space blanket and the smaller bivy sack. I have used the space blanket as a lean to setup. I have used the bivy sack at home only. been too cold to go camping since i purchased. but with that said. It worked pretty good and i think it would be perfect for a B.O.B. setup or backup.
People often mention that this blanket is easy to refold and can be used again and again. But I've never seen anybody actually unfolding this. And didn't know survival tips are written.

I can't believe you sold out to advertisers. I liked it when you just gave us tips on survival regardless of who was paying your expenses. I am going to unsubscribe if you continue making commercials.
I do not have sponsorship or receive payment by any companies, If you are spending time in the outdoors only an idiot goes with no equipment, these videos are purely recommendations.
@PeakSurvival ...what is the maximum height recommendation for that blanket? I'm 6'2...
By the way Peak, I'll keep watchin' even if roborob42 unsubscribes because you are knowledgeable and look a heck of a lot better than your average outdoor product reviewer when telling us what we need in the field.... : )
Don't forget boating you have engine failure on the water you are out there geting tore up by mosquitos then the temp drops didn't bring any water.
Happened to my uncle they were so cold if he only carried a small kit when going out. Louisana nights not too cold most nights but I would rather be comfortable when confronted with a situation.
Wow! Thanks for the vids on the two bivys and this blanket. I've been contemplating getting the bivys but didn't know which to use for different applications.
I have several blankets but never unfolded them thinking it would be hard to refold and reuse. Thanks for doing this vid.
What is the difference between bivvy bag and survival blanket?if it is a difference....
