is this bike stock in this vid or dose it have some kinda motor hop up man haha cuz all the vids iv seen i havent seen zero smash a hill like that before
its funny because the zero is ment to deplete of emisions yey wats the point when u have to recharge, with electricity u need to plug it into a power point wich comes from a a power station which ends having to burn COAL which is EMITIONS
@SirLollipopPerson Maybe true, but the key factor for me is near silent operation. With gas dirt bikes, I have to drive 1 hr from my home to ride because the noise pisses people off. With this bike, I can ride in the trails behind my house and my neighbor won't give a crap.
I believe that Neil said at some point that his batteries will maintain their level of performance with daily use for about 5 years straight, which is awesome, but what's not so awesome is that he never told us what happens then? Will you have to spends what, 3000 dollars on a new battery, or will it still perform but with lesser and lesser capability? And if so, how long before it dies completely? Anyone?
LOL like how your voice is like "Fuck it" listen to me or no I've got a zero. Have you seen the zero s? Oh one thing (didn't read all comments so don't know if anyone said this or not) but not really "zero fuel" you still have to plug it up, and well that comes from some kind of power plant. UNLESS you have a solor recharge station or wind turbine. Still a great vid. Plus the "road rash" game style kick to set that guy on fire. I like his commitment to being on fire.
He obviously got two batteries so he could ride longer, after one dies he just puts in another instead of waiting to recharge. Its not like a combustion engine at all, if you installed an extra battery you wouldn't get any more power, you would just be able to ride it longer.
i could totally see an electric trials bike the torque would own but dirt bike i don't think so... it would be fun but all i could see as a advantage to this is no more money for gas and in the future this might get popular this would open up a lot of the lost dirt bike OHV parks due to the Greenies being dicks and those hippie pieces of shit that booby trap OHV parks might find a hobby other than closing down OHV riding areas

Maybe carry batteries in the truck.. Charge a couple while you ride one. Charge probably good for a half hour. Recycle batteries every few months.

@therealdeadpen
Petrol vehicles use as much electricity as electric vehicles do, km for km.
Virtually the same amount of kWh that goes into an electric vehicles battery is used at the oil refinery to refine the fuel that goes into your tank.
45% of the running costs of a refinery are its electricity bill.
Then factor in the exhaust fans in all the tunnels in your average city.

Battery won't last long enough for those all-day trail rides though.

thats why i made the video now i have two batteries
SecondRateFilms7 2 years ago
do you have a video of the modded two batteries and how it was done? What kind of range are you getting and how did it affect handling/speed?

My concern is that you wouldn't be able to ride far from the your base unless you're gonna carry the spare battery on your back.
For short distance or MX tracks I imagine it would be awesome. Mono's without gear changes, etc.
I'm actually considering the KTM Electric when it comes out, for a short distance commuter/play bike.
