Second, that is a double action pistol. Anyone who knows anything about firearms knows the hammer doesn't need to be down for it to fire, when you pull the trigger the first round is double action and the rest single. It makes no difference time wise how long it takes to pull.

The hammer being down has absolutely no bearing on whether or not there is one in the pipe. You can easily decock the pistol after racking a round in. Regardless, it's absolutely ridiculous to imply a person would even pay attention to such a thing in a situation like that.
