I would prefer using an iron Titan or steel Titan for much faster kills rather than staying longer when the bank is right there. Just my opinion.

using celestial surgebox is way better than arcane shield and maybe the best item in the shield slot imo (only maybe rivaled by the void deflector if u gonna use a different setup)

Best method from experience is Steel titan/Full bandos/Rapier switch/fury switch and claws(you don't even need excalibur or any food at all just ss flash).

glacors mage def is so low it barely matters what armor you use, using ahrims at glacors is like using ahrims soloing rex/worthless.

And not meleeing is stupid, waste more money + slower kills, the 3 extra clicks are worth it.

@Sk94the2nd Yea man I'm kinda slow on quests, I just finished it 2 days ago and been camping them probably 400 kills so far and only like 25 shards and no boots, they certainly suck ass.

@slipknnnot boots are pretty rare, im at 500 kills so far, no boots, but u seem pretty unlucky on shards, ive got like 60 form the 500 kills + i think 12 effijizz and a ton of crim and blue charms... smaller drops like rune skirt, addy bolts etc pay for the cost of runes + shards are around 200k each atm, which is pretty decent imo

@ArcaneTricksterRS well i'm like 14.1m summoning exp and like 10k crims/10k blues banked so charms aren't a concern, I don't really pick up anything but runes unless I have inventory space so I usually lose :/

I get a shard about every 15-16 kills

@slipknnnot Not totally true, if you are good switcher use surgebox and chaotic staff with void;) almost 60 kills per hour. It does matter if you use magic wit hmelee gear. more 80 hits. With surgebox you kill first and second half of glacor withing 5 hits

If you're really good at Soulsplit flashing, you'll never need to eat at all, and therefore wont even need defence. Then, bring a mage's book.

If you do need to eat some, it might be wise to bring an Ely.

Though, if you can afford both of those, can't you afford an arcane? :P

@Sk94the2nd on other guides they show that you don't really need magic attack bonuses, some guy did it in full bandos and hit fine, meaning an arcane woulden't be so worth it (in my opinion)

@KiDCreepah An 80 hit on a glacor is a "miss". I have tried out all sorts of gear, including full bandos and tank gear, and I noticed that in the tank gear, I hit waaaay more 80s than actual hits.

I'd consider the mage gear I wear to be about 90% accurate, while full tank gear is probably 70% accurate. That's just based on my tests.

@qwedsa108 You must be fresh off watching all of those sosolid entries. Melee might be the absolute fastest, but it's not practical. It'd be like doing the prayer method where u use bones on the altar while automatically doing them so you can an extra 10k xp/hr. It might be faster, but the amount of clicks it takes makes it not worth it.

Also, you couldn't do this method without using magic. With melee, you have to kill each one in close combat and can't safespot a single thing.

@kulpreet29 I never have owned a surgebox, but I believe it increases damage by 5% every few attacks or something. Magic is pretty accurate on the glacors, but +30 from the arcane definately helps. As far as offensive bonus goes, it's really up to you. I bet the kills/hr are very similar using a surgebox or arcane. However, remember that arcane also gives a decent defence bonus, so that's something else to consider.

How is this 40-50 kills per minute if it took you 4 minutes to kill one as shown in the vid

@gonklord This video shows setup, how to get there, and then sections of each kill. It shows many drops and an intro/conclusion. I'm sorry if actually editing my video and not just showing 1 live kill as most other people do confused you, but a typical kill is slightly over a minute.

Nice guide but I prefer to just tank all the minions and move 1 square away from the Unstable after it reaches full explosive bar. I also far cast the entire time while in a big resizable screen as it makes the attacks easier to ss flash/switch between mage and ranged prayers. This also makes luring the enduring minion a lot easier. Overall, I still believe this is a great guide and one of the best I've seen.
