English A certain love story You are not by my side anymore, sweetheart And in my soul there's only loneliness left If I can't see you anymore Then why would God make me love you Just to make me suffer even more? You were always the reason for my existence To adore you was a religious task to me In your kisses I could find The warmth provided by Love and passion .......
Less is more, so they say. Laura proved she has the courage and skill to go for this introverted poetry. Strip the violins, the synths and backing choirs. Avoid all 'romantic' and 'dramatic' escapades and come out with this beautyful and enchanting quality.
Listen and listen, again and again, it is healing.
This song has nothing to do with this lady, neither with Nelson Ned, Julio Iglesias, or anyone. This song is as old as probably 60 years old or more, and it's known very well all over the Hispanic world by people as myself old enough as over a half century, but when I was born this song was already wrote long before anyway.
One of the best interpreations of this song was by the "Trio Los Panchos" from Mexico.
Chao Huong, neu ban biet choi ddan guitar ... thi ban se cam thay bai nay rat hay! DDoi voi minh ... bai hat nay choi qua hay .... nghe hoai khong chan .... cang nghe cang hay .... tieng guitar, ddieu bolero ..... Just a wonderful song.... bravo!
It is amazing that she sings in several languages with excellent pronunciation and diction, and with full emotional expression; truly a beautiful artist.
@pbaptiste64131 ,Nelson is very good. I like his voice. You may wish to hear the version of MARIO FRANGOULIS and see if you would also like his interpretation just to return to you the favor.
I appreciate the effort of the translator as I have always wanted to know what the song is about, but sorry to say that there are some mistakes in spelling.
It's a weak translation too. It lacks the poetic flair of the Spanish lyrics. I have a problem with the line "that gave light to me life, turning it off again." It should say something more along the lines of "gave light to my life, only to later extinguish it"
I like your translation 'only to later extinguish it'. It is more poetic and accurate than 'turning it off again'. It is a pity that I don't understand the Spanish version.
woow, what can I say I am absolutely speechless.. Superb song, excellent video, brilliant voice! Thank you very much for the subtitle I always wanted to learn what they meant...Thank you...

@csdr0
He meant Nelson Ned, from Brazil.
But this song has been sang by many hispanic singers all over Spanish-speaking América, North America, Spain, and the entire world anyway.
