Orange Juice is the main reason why I didn`t like the early Arctic Monkeys - Orange Juice is so much better ;) .....sorry.... it`s a shame to compare these bands.
Jesus the 80's had some great music. I remember being about 17 or 18 when buying this and playing it in my first car (Ford Escort) driving around my crappy little town (Yeovil) thinking I was the dogs bollocks:)...Aztec Camera were just wonderful..
Seriously!!! can anyone tell me WHY I cant find the actual music video ANYWHERE!!! it was one of my favorite music videos of all time... this is freakin ridiculous!!
More of the good British Invasion! Unlike all the shit Britian's coming out with today. There's much more concern over whether they look the part, than making good music. \it's sad though. really. \what fun- and it was. The Libertines tried to copy bands like these but never made it, cause they were crappy brats. Their drugs were worth more than the music!
@jwd29485 it happened 20 years ago or so. it was more esoteric and less agreeable for the wider audience. it was called shoegaze and came alongside with twee pop, madchester and the like. actually there is a continuum, i think, to the evolution of sound.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Awesome version of such a poetic, tender, angry and believable love song. Huge soundtrack to my and so many young men's romantic angsts in the early 80s. 'They'll call us lonely when we're really just alone' - inspired!

Roddy Frame is the kind of guy that urges you to create your YouTube profile in order to let the world know about his marvellous talent. What a songwriter! State of the art pop music! Belongs to the same league as Bowie, McCartney, Burt Bacharach, Randy Newman, Costello. Of course "High LAnd Hard Rain" was a masterpiece (composed at 16!), but check his later Aztec Camera stuff, "Dreamland", "Frestonia", or solo albums. Enter Roddy's world, you will not regret it!
Listen to the quality writer, singer, musician on this clip and all will be revealed. This was performed 27 years ago and is timeless like any good work. How many artists today can stand up live on stage and give a performance like this. Also the backing musicians are excellent. When you listen to some of the crap on the radio today you just want to turn it off. ie Simon Cowell Crap
Roddy Frame was Aztec Camera. He used session musicians for recording and gigs but pretended it was a band as, back then bands had more success than solo artists.
Its either this one or All I Need Is Everything... can't make up my mind which one is the most ingenious! But Pianos and Clocks is certainly one of the most beautiful lovesongs of all time!
Argh!! All my favourite videos are disappearing..! The alternative video version of this song (the strange 'voodoo' one) has sadly gone too - boo hoo..!
Dude dude dude...message me and I'll tell you, I'm also uploading it along with the single version of We Could Send Letters (already uploaded the C81 version).

Any Scottish fans (or anyone for that matter) should check out a fellow Scottish singer Gordon Wiseman and his song "In My Dreams".
He also comes from East Kilbride which is Roddy's hometown.
