Jesus the 80's had some great music. I remember being about 17 or 18 when buying this and playing it in my first car (Ford Escort) driving around my crappy little town (Yeovil) thinking I was the dogs bollocks:)...Aztec Camera were just wonderful..

There's much more concern over whether they look the part, than making good music. \it's sad though. really. \what fun- and it was. The Libertines tried to copy bands like these but never made it, cause they were crappy brats. Their drugs were worth more than the music!

@jwd29485 it happened 20 years ago or so. it was more esoteric and less agreeable for the wider audience. it was called shoegaze and came alongside with twee pop, madchester and the like. actually there is a continuum, i think, to the evolution of sound.

How many artists today can stand up live on stage and give a performance like this. Also the backing musicians are excellent. Roddy Frame was Aztec Camera. He used session musicians for recording and gigs but pretended it was a band as, back then bands had more success than solo artists.
