It kicked the ass of the third one. The third one had TWO Mary Sues (Turner and Swan) in it. At least Sparrow had the decency to not gain super pirate ship powers or rule all pirates everywhere. I loved the adventure of the Fountain of Youth and yes, I agree with the lazy characters. The ending was also a bit weird.

Yeah this movie wasn't that good like you said which is Kind of sad when you think about the very first movie depp did which was nightmare on elm street and then there is this movie elm street looked better then this and that was 1984 stuff

Good call on it bob but also add that black beard (the most epic awesome pirate ever) was shit and if they stuck a little to the real life version would have made for a ton better characters.
