Thanks, very informative. This is my problem, I kept having blood tests, as I was really ill, very tired and unable to concentrate, etc. My Dr tested me for everything and finally I was tested for vitamin d and calcium, and the results showed that both were very low. I have been taking suplements since, and I feel better. I am currently using sunbed for 5min twice a week. Do you think it helps?
This is RIGHT ON, Doc. I have my D levels checked at my last physical and not surprised: VERY LOW. My internist put me on 1,000 IU. I'm 50 and have severe lumbar scoliosis and arthritis. Before I started on vit. D, I was suffering from significant depression, stiffined joints and extreme generalized pain. I've made a COMPLETE turnaround since I started taking the D. I'm not longer depressed and I've started dancing again! This is the MIRACLE HORMONE!!!
unfortunately, my docs dont know much about vit d or how to properly raise it for those who are deficient in it,. can someone please tell me the proper way to do so? i do read that many take 50,000 iu of D3 and i told my doc this and he said that was crazy and its over dosing and you would get ill and sick from those kind of super mega dose levels
my vitamin d level was 10 for quite a while becuase ive felt so terrible for almost 2 years. i had tmj, joint pain, fatigue, migraines..i would be in bed for a week at a time..and im only 30. The day i started on 50,000iu of vitamin d every symptom ive had for the past 2 years cleared up. im thankful i finally got diognoised.
@calberkeley01 Yeah my hair falls out , my teeth crumble , I'm tired and in pain all the time , my joints hurt and swell my bones ache . I've been trying to raise it for 2 yrs with 50,000 iu but nothing seems to help .
no sun due to chemtrails and fish are all polluted.
vit D rocks...ive been on it for 3 weeks and feel better - felt sluggish b4 and know it was lack of sun....besides vit D i also take vit C and cod liver oil....see other clips on utube regards vit D and safe levels to take daily.
He is a fine piece of man flesh and yes i have heard nothing but good stuff about taking Vitamin d3 so thats what i am doing.God knows with all the sunblocking going on (Chemtrails) if we will ever get our levels right naturally. so stock up people.
I also found I have insufficient vitamin D and autoimmune diseases run in my family (MS). And I went to the dr because I've been achy, having bone/joint problems and heart symptoms.
I'm on day 17 and symptoms are subsiding slowly every day.
Thanks for posting your video - I'm trying to learn as much as I can right now.
Just found out that my Vitamin D level is 14, very low docs say i am not getting enough sun. came to London England 7 years ago, from Jamaica. theres is allot in JA but no sun in london. the lack of sunlight is causing muscle degeneration in my body my doctors say.
Very interesting. Poor ole Mr. Sun sure has been beat down the last few decades.
"A new study done by Johns Hopkins Univ showed a 26% increase of dying from any cause ...low levels of Vitamin D"
"Obsession with the overuse of sunscreen" blocks both UVA & B rays. You're not getting burned but you're also not getting the Vit D (UVB rays) that you need.
25 hydroxycholecalciferol is the inactive form of Vit D. This comes from our diet and UV-B exposure. 1,25 dihydroxycholecalciferol is the active form of Vit D. This is done by the 1a-hydroxylase enzyme in the kidenys. MOST do not have a problem converting. We will test 1, 25 if high doses of 25 Vit D is not making a difference.
When you go to Chiropractic or medical school, you learn when to order certain test. 25 Vit D gets tested FIRST to see if Sally is getting enough Vit D in her diet...
If there is no change then 1,25 Dihydro Vit D, parathyroid hormone and a kidney profile are run. Still nothing? Intestional permeability test, 1,25 Dihydro Vit D Receptor Autoantibody test, and a Single Nucleotide Polymorphism test of the Vit D receptor are run. Now we could spend $2000 and test everyting at once or be a clinician and have a starting point...25 OH Vit D ($55).
My point is with all these long words is that this are educational video meant to understand concepts, not talk...
...biochemistry or details explanations on how other tests decisions are made.
I ask you not to insult me nor the people watching these videos by using such language. How would you feel if some did not seek my help because of your comment? Your comment helps no one. It should have been in a form of a question so that others my learn from the answer.
Rather than doing the injections, have you considered supplementing with capsules or a liquid drop daily? I would say that is much more standard now than the injection and more cost efficient.
I agree. Unless you have had you gallbladder removed or other intestinal surgery that is restricting nutrient absorption, then taking Vitamin D3 WITH it's co-factors and synergist is that way to do it. Vitamin D is hard to absorb when taken alone.
I make these videos to help educate the masses so please share this info with others.
I have a history of low vitamin D, my latest test showed 16.3 nmol/L a few weeks ago. Normally my doctor prescribe me with an injection of Vitamin D every six months, however, due to problems in the Surgery, I only had 3 of these in the last 8 years (they never seem to keep the vitamin d in stock).
Do you think my Vitamin D levels are dangerous? Is it too late for me to act now? I am 45.
The 25/1,25 ratio is only an opinion of Dr. Marshal. If the body did not regulate it's 1,25 levels so tightly, it would be a part of my routine tests. It would make since to test 1,25 off the bat if the parathyroid gland was involved, mineral loss, or if there is sluggish kidney function.
If you have any literature on the ratio, please pass it on.
Yes, those levels are dangerous. No, it is not too late.
A recent study at the Albert Ernestine school of Medicine showed an increase of death from ALL causes in those with low Vitamin D levels (30 ng/ml (25 OH) or less; your converted is 6.5 ng/ml).
You need a more detailed workup. I reserve Tuesday's and Thursday's for phone consultations. My website information is to the right of my youtube videos.
Remember to share this video if it has helped you.

heres my baloney ...sorry to upset you.
yes you only look at half the problem if you don't check both.
My vitamin d ratio is 4:1 1,25 d 56 and d 25 14
compared to the average
healthy person it is too high. check out fda-visiting-professor-7mar06.rm
This is new research that proves I am correct.
look at his video please.
You will be a step ahead of Einstein.

Check out what he means by vit D levels.
in all of his patients. just d 25 was tested.
Check your own 2 vit D levels.
Ask a dr to do both d 25 and d 1,25.
don't listen to his baloney.
