Dude, it was a pick up jam at someone elses gig. We just sat in and played. The Banjo player and Mandolin player are a bluegrass duo and since we played with them that nite it was kinda sorta bluegrass...or country, or just acoustic doors. Whatever, it was just fun hanving a good time, drinking lots of beer and jamming some music.
NOT bluegrass...and I'm not even a close minded traditionalist. I can even appreciate Pete Wernick's fazer banjo on "Hot Rize", but come on now, can I get a Scruggs roll?
Bluegrass keyboards?
Maybe if y'all busted out Foggy Mountain Top I would believe.
P.S.
The mando would probably last in a REAL bluegrass jam...unplugged and with 8 strings.
And I'm NOT saying the music is BAD just NOT BLUEGRASS. Please represent yourselves correctly. Folks searching for BLUEGRASS will be thankful.
In addition, the mostly intoxicated crowd thought it was ok :)
