This is so good, My son was born 24 weeks 1 lb 7 oz and spent 16 months in the NICU. He is almost 3 now. Been home for 1 yr 6 months and is getting better and better everyday.
i super love this song!!! i think only preemie parents know what the song was trying to tell. my little preemie is already 4 y.o. now but somehow i missed hearing the "beep beep beep"
O I love this! We spent 107 days in the NICU with my son and I part of an NPO that helps families in the NICU with a specific birth defect that stay on average 8-20 weeks. This is perfect. Thank you so so much!!
My little girl is about to turn 1. She was extremely sick and required surgery to put her intestines back inside her body after she was born. She was in NICU (at the Royal Children's Melbourne Australia) for 34 days and SCN for 15 days. Awesome song!!
Such a great song!! It brings back a lot of memories...our son was born at 25 weeks (1lb 7oz) and we spent 105 days in the NICU. He is now 1 1/2 and you wouldn't even know! Thanks for the song!
Thank you for posting this song...I have a 25 week old who is now 37 weeks and will be coming home soon. So we know the NICU VERY well. I like that the song is upbeat as you describe what goes on in the NICU. I can't tell you how happy your song makes me :)
I'm a student nurse and father of a NICU baby, currently studying for my pediatrics exam. Thanks for reminding me of the human side of preemies. I desperately needed this study break.
I'm a NICU nurse and I LOVE this song!!! It does an excellent job of capturing the NICU, I especially love the 'every milligram he grows' and "the nurses in clogs' (yes I have a pair that are my work shoes)
This song puts a smile on my Face my son was born at 24.5 weeks and every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes. His NICU nurse told me about this song.
Oh such an awesome song, I had 2 preemie boys they are now 12years and almost 2. This song brings back memories of my times in the NICU and all the wonderful mums and dad I met there!!
Thank you - what an awesome song! It made the tears stream down my face remembering our NICU experience, but good tears since our daughter is now 2 months old and doing great!
This is the cutest song ever! My son was born in October 2009 at 28w5d and was in the NICU for 72 days. Any one that has been on the NICU rollercoaster should appreciate this song. I have since went on to have a healthy term son last month and after having a child in the NICU first, I feel very fortunate to have carried a child to term (actually had to be induced!). Thank you so much for making this song! My son has the biggest smile on his face as soon as the song comes on!
This song is absolutely adorable. My son Nikolas is in the NICU (29 weeks), this song helped me relax about him being there. Very comforting and just perfect to lighten up the next several weeks. Thank you
Wonderful song! Thank you for sharing I am sure all parents of premmies will really love hearing this song. Just a little insight into what it is like in a NICU. Airlie my ex 27weeker loves to dance along to this song. I have shared it over at my blog for you and on my facebook page too.
Great song. It's so hard to make the NICU seem not so scary. I still jump when I hear the beep beep beep and my son, Brendan was born almost 3 years ago at 28 weeks 5 days.
Thanks, all. It's great to hear from parents and providers of NICU care - somehow it's like a family we still feel connected to, even after many years. Our "graduates" are 8 & 10 now. Best wishes.
This is the first time I heard this, and I'm laughing and crying at the same time. Love the song, soooo glad I don't have to hear that beep, beep, beep any more!!! Lol. I had twin boys born at 29 wks with a birth defect as well. One boy came home before their due date just under 5 lbs. Sorry just thought of the part of the song about measuring all their poop & pee. Ha ha ha. My other boy came home after six months of being in the NICU. It was a very difficult time. Love this song!
My son was also 15 weeks early (lost our fraternal twin in the pregnancy) Agreed, this sure would have made me smile even while still in NICU :) I can set him up to the monitors myself when we need to be booked back into hospital, sure brings back the memories of NICU! xx
OK..as afraid as my husband and I were when our son was born 15 weeks premature..I wish I had heard this song then. I'm sure it would have brightened up some dark moments. P.S. Our son turns 3 on Feb. 8th 2011. I'm starting to think his love of electronic toys that beep might be him remembering the noisy NICU after hearing your song. lol Thanks.. love the tune.

Thank you so much!
