  • Great job big guy

  • i'm not gay by any means, but you have the sexy timbre that mario lanza had

  • i love paul potts but this guy is an actual opera singer.

  • world class!

  • even though I hate when operatic repertoire is sung with a microphone, I hear a little Jussi Bjorling in this guy ;)

  • BRAVO!!!

  • Bravo! That's really nice, nice emotion...

  • One of the greatest tenors of all time.

  • One of the 2 or 3 best versions I"ve ever heard! Bravo!!!

  • His voice is awesome!!!!

  • ...and we have to tolerate andrea bocelli when we have this man right in front of us. what is wrong with the damn music industry? oh...i know. it is more important to be slender, blind, unshaven and wear armani suits than to possess a beautiful voice.

    people are sheep.

  • i would offer that his performance favors the emotion of lanza as opposed to the indifference of pavarotti.

  • Bravo, beautiful drammatic tenor voice! How old are you?

  • you really are somrthing eles , what a voice, ricky jones solo singer from the uk

  • His brother is, in his own right, a fantastic baritone [see the Pearl Fishers' duet]. They both deserve to be in the top ranks of soloists of the past 10 years. What jaw-dropping talents!

  • much better than the 'unnamed one', who is ok for an amateur.

  • OK, thanks to note from jad1175, I found Frank's "Amor ti vieta" - spectacular! It's too far down the list. Most (all?) of Frank's uploads are 3 years old. Outrageous, this glorious voice should be on the world stage. La Scala Italians would scream in adulation, I know it! Something else - a bonus - the owner of the magnificent voice is a picture of modesty, warmth, and sheer joy of singing.

  • Bravo, bravissimo! I like ellicantropo's comment, Frank the reincarnation of Mario Lanza, though his own unique voice. I don't hear quite the similarity, Frank sounds more dramatic-tenorish, but maybe the reincarnation of several great singers of the past - with polish, Björling? Bet he could handle Wagnerian roles like pieces of German cake. Love to hear him sing "Amor ti vieta" or anything from Andrea Chenier.

  • Franco, sei davvero bravissimo.

  • I am open mouthed in amazement. I am usually most scathing of any small flaw in an artist's performance, but With Frank, I surely cannot find any. I have said this about his other performances. I can only think that he does not want the Big Time, as it surely must be there for the taking. Frank, you owe it to the world of music lovers to spread your wings and soar to the dizzy heights that your talent demands and deserves. Brava Brava.

  • Amazing, flaw-free mastery of the high ranges of this piece.

  • No less than staggering!! Potential to be one of the all time greats? No? Yes? Yes!!

    The Dragon

  • @Tempeldragen ...YES! :))

  • very nice!

  • One of my favourite tenors of all time

  • great job!! mix of caruso and gigli....I think he has great potential.. just don't do the big stuff too soon!!!

  • Amazing! A huge, clear voice, reminiscent of the old masters. A lovely performance of an amazing aria-Bravo!

  • The big fella has talent.......bellissimo!!!

  • Well i agree..pavoratti's voice is unbeliefably powerful and clear..Though I think this version is pretty darn good too..especially for someone who is not a famous opera star.

  • This is one of the best versions ive heard, much more expressive than pavoratti

  • So true

  • that is a very interesting opinion. i Suggest u open ur ears!

  • WOW!!!

  • Sounds like Caruso.

I wish the smucks in the audience would shut up.

  • Beautiful voice! I think he's more lirico than pavarotti. Pavarotti's voice was lighter.

  • A very good performance. Personally, I prefer the forwardness of Corelli's Voice, but Frank definitly does this extremely well. Very well done :)

  • i was just blown away by his voice and stage presence. he deserves more recognition

  • How can you even compare this guy to Potts? First of all it doesn't take much to be better than Paul. I think Tenaglia deserves a better compliment that simply 'he's better than Potts!'

  • Really... !!!!! Nice voice. What's up with this guy? He certainly has the right voice and... just needs a little more polishing/finesse... but he's really in the zone. Really like him. Excellent voice.

  • WAY BETTER THEN PAUL POTTS!!

  • HELL YES!! POTTS SUCKS!

  • This guy reminds me of Paul Potts...except that he's much better! Bravo! Should be famous.

  • This big fella has much to offer, I'd never heard of him. Bravo Maestro !!!!

  • He sounds very much like Lanza to me. More so than Pavarotti.

  • Hi Frank...you sound magnificant....love your voice....you brought tears to eveyone's eyes when you sang the Ava Maria at my wedding in 1985 and your voice has only gotten so much better...You have surpassed Lucianno (RIP)....Let Vicki and I know when you are going to be in South Philly the next time you perform and we will definately be there with tons of tissues....

    Love Lynette (Owens) Hersh

  • WOW!..Frank is up there with the greats.

  • That was brilliant I enjoyed so very much. Have you sung in the UK? Please do.

  • Take a bow. That was brilliant. Who is this guy and y have i never heard of him. He's very good.

  • FRank, your voice can replace the late Pavarotti !! I've seen Luciano twice in concert and you truly have the tone, strength and clarity and pronunciation he posessed. Do you tour in Balto/va. or do you have a cd out yet??? Fan#1, Bernie

  • Bravo! Bravissimo! Wonderful. Rich, warm, smooth, a worthy addition to the ranks of truly great tenors. On a scale ranking tenors, Tenaglia earns a ten!

  • fantastic vocals, absolutely.

  • Bravo!

  • that was awesome

  • Great job Frank. i really appreciate your version of nessun and its even better than pavarotti. Keep doing this, but dont forget about weight, if you want to live longer than our great maestro grandpa pavi R.I.P good job ;)

  • Grandioso que voz

  • could everyone stop putting Paul Potts' name in comments? He is not a opera singer. He is a pop singer. He lacks proper technique and has terrible diction. Thanks. BTW, Frank did a great job here. His other recordings are good too. He needs to get a break - great voice!

  • @JohnH04 Oh my god. Finaly somebody with heart and knowledge to say something, I always thought.

I'm not a professional singer, but understnad much from music and I agree with you completely!

  • @JohnH04 Finally, someone with sense

  • Superbly rich tenor voice! No hint of strain or excessive vibrato. Great. Frank, like Paul, needs his "One Chance" also.

  • his voice is so clear, smooth. wonderful.

  • Best to you Frank. You deserve it.

  • Scary, this guy blows paul potts out of the sky.

  • Mi piace il suo timbro vocale

    graziato naturale pulito negli

    acuti, bravo ottimo tenore.

    grazie del video.

  • Mr. Tenaglia - you remind me of a John Charles Thomas. Great emotion and continuity throughout...what a blessing! I am definitely going to follow your future career. Look out world, Philly is about to produce the next Caruso/Luciano.

  • divine, ill never be tired about watching this video!!!

  • Wow! Who is this guy? That was wonderful!

  • unbelievable "do de pecho", potency, authority and pressence, smooth too. lots of feeling, this is a great tenor, not that poor nervous guy in the other version of american idol.

  • very bad sound sistem, very bad cuality video, great tenor

  • Reminds me of Mario Lanza's. Lots of emotion. Too bad the recording kinda sucks.

  • awesome This guy should be famous

  • wow this guy is really good! i wonder why he isnt that famous

  • very very nice

  • i really love tihs guy...bravissimo

  • el ingles tiene mucha mas emocion, este es un pecho frio pero canta bien xD

  • Very good. :)

  • Molto bravo, complimenti! Very good

  • very very good! i liked this one =)

  • see this is real raw talent, not that British guy!

  • you mean Paul Potss? yeah i agree with you

  • You're right, This is a truly talent!!!!! Bravo Mr Tenaglia!!!!

  • This guy is awesome!

Needs some work on the upper register, but sounds like he could be one of the greats if he wanted to.

  • bravo!

  • waouw, good

  • MOLTO BENE:)

  • OMIGOD, this guy is awesome...i hope he keeps training and performing. He can definitely be one of the greats one day. Raw talent. Lots of heart in his voice. BRAVO!!! Thanks for posting.

  • Wow. HE MUST PLAY in Fort Worth at Bass Hall. Somebody Pleeease tip him off with next seasons opera.

  • great voice

  • This guy has tremendous skills!!!! This was beautiful...just beautiful!!! BRAVO

  • Me like!!

  • que bella voz me recuerda a jussi bjoerling ...

me encantó más su lamento di federico, tiene unos agudos muy firmes, brillantes y bellos... BRAVO!

  • great job man! lots of emotion!

  • Frank- wear a white bowtie. You deserve it.

  • the best today! no body better

  • Beautiful voice and phrazing! The caracter(Calaf)is questionable: you sing it if you were sentenced to death already.

"Nessun dorma" is an aria of hope and love its not "E lucevan le stelle", bravo anyways! )))

  • Brava! Beautiful rendition of a notoriously difficult aria- I'm really impressed. Just keep up what you're doing, it sounds healthy. Why aren't you at the MET yet!?

  • amazinggg

  • He sings like Alfredo Kraus

  • he sings like bjorling

  • Bravo, Frank!

  • Bravo! Bravo! Very well sung! You're a god.

  • Woah, this guy is great!

  • Its good man

  • Impressive. Any idea where he trained, or is he just a out-of-the-blue phenom?

  • BRAVO!!!

  • woah amazing!

  • this guy will be a lot better than i ever will be in my life time..people who can sing nessum are god's.

  • waht the helll he deserves a better aplause

  • Great tenor!

  • enough with DAVID PHELPS!gospel pop guy, he makin' money, he is not an operatic singer. maybe we should listen to anybody with a high voice and see what they do. EMINEM has a tenor voice, we could learn from him. good luck to frank. he doing it.

  • Bravo!!

  • A voice like this doesn't need worry about keeping high in the resonators, that is just academic gobbledeegook.

He sings the aria easily and it is eminently suited to him. His high notes are reminscent of the great Bjoerling. Bravo.

  • very strong emotional performance. the strength, control, style, and ownership everyone wants to hear!...great!

  • i envy ur voice lol i wish i could sing them high notes :(

  • Nice!

  • andrea bocelli's version? YUCK. he's not an opera singer, and his voice is WAY too light for this. This guy's voice is great, but he's too young to sing this.

  • I hate this video. I clicked hoping it would be some amateur sucking it up, but instead I get a strong, poised performance. What a let down :P

  • Dios. lloré. su voz es tan penetrante. abre la boca y se le escapa el alma.

  • Fantastic performance!!! I still prefer Andera Bocelli's version..although this guy has a brilliant voice for his age

  • Andrea Bocelli? Your're kidding, right. Bocelli is blind and everything and so mad props to him but Bocelli's voice is thin, and unsupported. I don't like it at all.

  • pikeywatch, Frank's in his 40s.

  • I dont know when the "experts" expected singers to sing some operas...Franks its not to young for Calaf...plis...do you want him to wait till 50s???...he´s got the voice and the age...dont prejudice.

  • he should be touring Europe, right now.

  • Bravo! Malloy89 is right, anyway ^_^

  • WONDERFUL!!

  • I can't help but comment on the fact that I can hear some Jussi Bjoerling in his voice. Nicely done for a young man doing a huge beast of an aria.

  • grandissimo,se dimagrisse un pò :-)

  • great job frank..best nessun dorma..ill take corelli and then lanzas 48 hollywood bowl version and jussis over pavs..pav cause of world wide tv popularized the aria.

  • how old is this guy?

  • In his early 40s now, or so I've read in other posts.

  • Frank Tenaglia better than Domingo!

  • Well. He's up there.

  • His Brother is a Baritone?

    How happy their mother is

  • Yes, a baritone! With a great Verdi sound!

  • Very good. Watch those hands though! :)

  • Hmmm. Not bad at all. I think this is one who was in Luciano's International Competition, and did pretty well.

  • I think he did, with his brother who is a great baritone. I don't know if his brother is still singing? Listen to their Pearl Fishers Duet you'll hear what I mean!!

  • true, but i see the potential in him. a bit of work and dedication, he'll be great later!

  • woah! next pavarotti!and i don't say that too often! that was good!

  • hey, this is really, really good!! almost up there with Pavarotti and them (not there, but almost)

  • great really great

  • A very strong performance - well done

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH
