I watched this movie. What a piece of shit it is. This movie is about a 14 year old girl who lures a guy to his own house. What she then does to him is drugging him, kidnapping, death-attempts through asphyxiation, cut off his genitals, drown him, electrocute him and more. She blames him to be a 'pedophile' based on assumptions without any real evidence. She uses that as a pathetic excuse to please her sick torture needs. After torturing him for 2 hours, she forces him to kill himself.
mickes1! It's a credit sequence! The credit at 0:46 reads 'Original Score by MOLLY NYMAN & HARRY ESCOTT'. It's clearly been composed specifically for the film.
With that information, the title doesn't matter - you should be able to check if a soundtrack is available or not. The last time I checked, it didn't exist. That makes sense as it's a small film containing very little music.
I want to learn to play this on the piano so badly! This is the best movie every, by the way, so I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys psychological thriller-types. If anyone has learned to play this by ear (something which I can't do...) or has sheet music, please let me know. Thanks for the upload! Awesome!
It's part of the score. I don't think it was released simply because a very conscious decision was made not to have the film saturated in music, so there's very little of it.
The credits here include a Molly Nyman who surely must be related to famous composer Michael Nyman, whose classical score for Gattaca (1997) is simply beautiful. I compel anyone to go find that that soundtrack.
It's a real divider too. A film enthusiast friend of mine just couldn't stand it. Thought both characters were just horrible. (I actually like films where everyone's horrible to each other!)
I've seen Hard Candy a number of times (great film by the way) but this is the first time I've seen the opening (I've only ever caught it from the email message at the beginning).
Apologies to whoever the Ellen Page fan was who was kind enough to add this to their favourites. I was just replacing the clip with one that had a slight volume increase.

It's certainly an audience splitter. Very much a Marmite film. I'm in the camp that loves it.

@briannejoy92 No problem. (I abandoned uploading more titles when YouTube kept tearing them down though.)
Hope to see more of Patrick Wilson and I believe Ellen Page is in the upcoming Chris Nolan thriller Inception.

Sorry. Might be worth checking the end credits for visual effects houses, etc.
Oh and the film's not too shabby either - 8/10 from me.
