someone please help me! i have a pearlscale goldfish who was caught on the filter tube and i am estimating was stuck on for the whole day. his entire side is mangled and bloody. he can swim and breathe, but barely, and only swims with one side. i put in some melafix, and i will continue to do so as instructed. he is not eating, and is barely swimming. please help me. what should i do?

That is a HUGE pearscale! How big is that thing and how old is it? I tried to get one at the store, but they have both died on me. I think they were not healthy at the petstore.

Yours is a different kind from the sounds of it. There are several types of pearlscales, and some are fairly rare. Do a little googling to find out what you have.
