  • Positive proof that this guy is a paedophile. Beware of Hillsong, the spread the syrupy horror of satanic greed.

  • did you film this with a potato?

  • @iamthe7thwalrus Yes his name is Mr. Potato Head and he's a videographer in training so don't hate on him too bad.

  • Thumb down for the quality.

  • @SerJahPhoto Oh please forgive me that I didn't break out the tv-quality camera for my video I took while attending a conference so you could have high quality videos to watch instead of low quality ones you feel the need to criticize because you have nothing better to do with your life. GET OVER IT.

  • LoooooL that was so funny

  • @davo9678 We're also christian, but the difference is we have revelations or the Word so "we" see the truth unlike you.. worshiping to false preachers.

  • DENOMINATIONS IS ALL BUSINESSES!! CHURCHES TODAY ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY AND POWER, PEOPLE ARE NOW BLINDED FROM THE TRUTH BEHIND THOSE ANOMALIES DONE BY THAT. LIKE THE WHO IS NOW SITTING AT THE THRONE IN THE CITY OF VATICAN. HE IS CLAIMING THAT HE IS "VICARI VS FILII DEI" BRIAN HOUSTON IS ONE OF MANY PASTORS LEAVING LIKE ROCKSTARS WITH MONEY AND LUXURY THINGS

  • i love pastor brian houston gijoe989.

  • How did so many atheist come here in the first place?

  • He told this story at Hillsong church in Sydney as well. And yeah, I'm an atheist, but love his stories, not the religious stuff.

  • God is fictional

  • LOL

  • that is the funniest story i have ever heard. is this is australia?

I cant wait to go to hillsong college :)

  • i laughed my bums off !!! hahahaha

  • WOe to the idol pastors Zech 11:17; Jere 23 and Eze 34 HOw's THAT for vulgarity?

  • This is the best thing ever. Oh dear lord this is hilarious!!!

  • One can be sincere... and yet also be sincerely misled, mistaken and misguided.

You who call yourself a leader of men (even if, at the same time, 'A follower of Christ'): The more passionate you are in expressing your mistaken beliefs, the more that people even MORE misguided than yourself will want to follow you, because they think YOU know where you are going, and you are articulate.

It is never a good idea for the blind to follow the blind - even if they say "I see - follow me".

    Beware.

  • Does he ever mention Jesus?

  • @WTU208 Yes in his sermon he was talking about the story of Jesus sending his disciples to get a donkey for him to ride in to the city on the day we know as Palm Sunday. This was a story he was telling to make an illustration in that sermon.

  • @WTU208 does he ever mention sin, hell, repentance, trusting Jesus to save from sin? Or is it all about improving this life now?

  • @WTU208 Yes.

  • @WTU208 No...he is a self obsessed ego maniac. Humility and Brian Houston don't belong in the same sentence. Brian's hair transplant is amazingly powerful. Brian's dad started the church and confessed to abusing young boys..google it. So this is just...just...the spirit of Jesus.

    Brian gets rich off this.

Brian thinks he is the Glory, and so too, the money, which he devours so lustfully.

False Christian con man for the brainwashed desparate individuals, seeking a to worship false idol:BRIAN

  • @GuyBurgess1234 Ya... good luck with that opinion

  • @GuyBurgess1234 THIS is TRUTH. He's pressing his agenda to fatten his wallet.

  • Brian Houston ,

a man of god , amazing leader. His son a great songwriter. Be blessed in the name of JESUS.

  • heretic

  • Christianity...greatest money making scam in history

  • False teacher, the Bible proves it.

  • @narrowpathguy so wheres the proof bro?

  • He has told this so many times, I went to hillsong for the first time in my life and he told this.

    It's funny though. He's a great pastor!

  • Houston is a prosperity pimp like the rest of the cats on TBN. But he openly admits it.

  • don't you think it is not a bit self rightouess those who are criticizing brian houston? Those who say they just want to sell you cd's...

What a joke!! I go to their church, they love god, they are filled with the spirit, they outreach to other communities and just recently expanded an extenstion church up north. they are not money hungry.

okay lets say you no 1 person who is inside the church. That does not sum up the whole church, and some come to church to get rid of their lusts and greed

  • Hillbillysong

  • Brian Houston once said ( the only input I got from God was when a businessman said to me, build it and they will come) Sorry Brian this is from a businessman not from god, Brian Houston admits he is a blind guide> The lord reveals himself to those that he is happy with, he has not revealed himself to you!. You go around gobbing off about something you know nothing about., blind guide!! Jesus gave up everything, John gave up everything, Paul gave up everything, and all twelve desciples

  • Is this at church or a nightclub?

  • @reginaDexant Location's in the description box :) Grace Community Church in Houston, TX. Where did the night club feel come from?

  • @odude86 From the very irreverent atmosphere and lewdness. It is a disgrace to be preached from the pulpit. God is the Most High and we must love and revere Him as such. What exactly does this idiot say that would lead you to study scripture and seek the LORD? God's Holy Word is life and sustenance. The sheep of this fold are starving to death, while the goats are amused and entertained. Shame! Read the book of ACTS and come to your senses.

  • @reginaDexant Wow, those are some pretty harsh words considering you weren't there to witness the ministry that was going on. Maybe you should check out 1 Corinthians 13 - the LOVE chapter!

  • @odude86 You are correct Hillsong is a Flase Church only Interested in selling you Cd's and DVD's

  • @reginaDexant sex, drugs and rock and roll....but sex (in marriage) drugs (getting high in the spirit) and rock.n,roll (praise and worship) rather go to HIllsong than a nightclub!

  • FUNNY!!! THANKS FOR SHARING

  • Can anyone speak more dribble than this guy, Sadly yes american preachers

  • as if they understand what has been said, and that what has been said is the truth. It's not a technique only used by this pastor, but many, and its also a technique used by motivational speakers. It is also used by those who wish to learn the power or persuation, and especially used in the business world.

  • How do we know this man is a freud? Many ways. Looking at his other videos, its quite obvious he has little or no knowledge of what he speaks. But look carefully when he preaches. He talks loudly, then suddenly quietly. Quickly, then suddenly slowly. He asks his audience to repeat what he has said. He creates short pauses which are short but appear to go on for a long time. He switches from one part of scripture to the next quickly. All these techniques are used to make the audience feel as....

  • HAHAHAHAHA Woooww tooo funnyyy

  • Love Brain Houston, amazing leader, one of the best of this generation, he is the real deal, passionately loves people, Jesus and the church. So unfortunate that there are so many people trying to discredit him, it's people who don't understand our great big God and people who are jealous...He and his family are amazing people...the real deal, so inspiring. We need more people on the planet who will stand up strong faithful and will lead, uncompromisingly.

  • @creature70 You are so Decieved

  • @narrowpathguy

The internet because of it's anonymity makes it all to easy to openly criticise people. Everyone has an opinion, that's fine, becareful though as in the end we all stand before God and have to give an account. Brian Houston has done more than you and me mulitiplied x1000's to get the gospel spread around the world. That's what God wants-gospel being spread, not for us to be pulling each other down and being critical.

  • @creature70 Quadruple-billion thumbs up!!! Could not have said it better myself. THANK YOU!

  • @creature70 You are right, He has done more than me to take thousands of people straight to Hell.

  • @creature70 good point. criticism can be made on the internet freely, without censor and without fear of reprisal.

The only reason totalitarian power structures can exist is with censorship and fear.

On this comment page I read 6 comments critical and 2 comments of praise. Is this consistent with a hillsong meeting?

The internet is a catalyst for revolt against totalitarianism because it provides anonymity and freedom of information.

  • @creature70 : you're a poor dumb and blinded sheep.

  • @creature70 Since I don't know nothing about this Brian I won't write about him. Something do I know, the world doesn't need more leaders, we need to decide! Whether we want to follow man or Jesus? Jesus is the real deal, he is the author and finisher of faith. Read the Bible and examine yourself: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit...

  • thieves

  • this is the first time i'm hearing Pastor Pastor Bryan preach, & that was the best story i've ever heard told from a poupit!!! haha he's such a good preacher :)

  • He may be a nice man, but why do I have to pay tax and he doesn't? I'd like to hear your response. It's just a reasonable question from a reasonable person...

  • @MsChicken444 I'm not sure how the tax laws work in australia but in the US, our churches are considered non-profit organizations and do not pay business taxes like actual businesses do. I would think it would be the same there but I'm not sure.

  • @odude86 it's property taxes churches are exempt from . .

  • @heavensmelody Ah, good thinkin.

  • @MsChicken444 he does pay income tax just like you and me...don't believe the media hype...

  • @MsChicken444 - hey there... i am also a minister in Australia and like Pastor Brian i too am exempt from 'some' tax not all... Ps Brian does pay tax so you are mis informed. this is something that the ATO has instituted and not the church.

  • this guy is hilarious and he is so BLESSED!!

  • ha! Love it :)

  • it's happened to the best of us... lol!

  • Your awesome Pastor Brian! Your so awesome!

  • OH MY GOSH!!! i love Pastor Brian. tears of laughter :'D

  • He's a loony. But as the bible says, the truth will set you free.

  • bahahhaahahaa I so can't wait to see Ps Brian preach! uber lol

  • Con men, all of them.

    Serfs all of them.

Jesus would be so proud of their frugal lifestyle.

Rational and critical thinking is the answer, not tax free havens to fund their extravagant lifestyles. People it time to stop this old world nonsense!

  • no worries ;) still love the laugh!!

  • He is a good Pastor! Praise God for a pastor like him... thou dis is funny

  • well dude...

    (what to say?)

  • @79swissmiss lol no biggy.

  • LOVE her laugh at 03:23 !!!!

  • @79swissmiss that's definitely me...and i'm definitely a man. LOL.

  • @79swissmiss listened to it over and over at 3:32 too funny...love to laugh

  • Our family and friends have been incredibly blessed by Pastor Houston and his ministry. It must break our Father's heart to see what we kids do behind the mask of religious correction. Jesus says still: They (the world) will know you are Christians if you have love for one another. Thank you for posting the videos.

  • @Alaska4Jesus Thanks for that! I appreciate the positivity!

  • You call yourself a "post-believer" yet you are criticizing a believer for what he is teaching...if you are "no longer a believer" then why criticize his ministry? He doesn't effect you or anything else you do in your life so what does it even matter to you. And as far as whatever evidence you think you have "based on this video"....ITS A FRICKIN STORY...whooooooo ccaaarrrreeessss????

  • eu gosto muito do pastor briam houstom.. ele e´verdadeiramente um homem de DEUS...que DEUS continue derramando mais a sua graca sobre ele....

  • that is the lamest thing i have seen since i can't remember when. was there a message in there or just him prancing around seeking glory for himself? but that's what it's all about, isn't it entertainment under the guise of some ticket to some heaven which is just like hillsong.

  • @countrhegemony it was an illustration he was using to make a point in his sermon about trying to follow God and Satan at the same time and how that always ends in disaster. Jesus did this kind of stuff all the time. It's called a PARABLE. Look it up in the BIBLE.

  • I have read the bible, I know what a parable is and I am aware of what Jesus, as 'reported' in the bible did. What this man does and leads his church to do, under the guise of Christianity and for 'salvation' for his (sadly) it seems burgeoning flock, is more closely aligned with whom or what you call Satan.

  • @countrhegemony Well that's your opinion and you are most assuredly entitled to it but attacking the fact that he told a story on a video is pointless and definitely reduces the amount of credibility for your cause. Just sayin...

  • what cause? And perhaps I wasn't attacking anything, just questioning. Just saying. But this is how the Houston-Hillsong dogma operates is it not: anyone that questions is a dissenter, an unbeliever, an enemy, whoever is not with us is against us? That kind of thing? Yes this dogma most assuredly makes whatever I had/have to say pointless, or any others that question. But which or who do you follow?

  • Your cause = Proving to the world that Hillsong is not a church but a big show by negatively commenting on videos of Brian Houston in your spare time because you don't agree with the way he does ministry. And these sentences "that is the lamest thing i have seen since i can't remember when. was there a message in there or just him prancing around seeking glory for himself?" seem pretty attacking to me. And I never said you were a dissenter, unbeliever, or enemy. Those are your words.

  • To answer your question, I follow Jesus, and for the record, I don't attend Hillsong Church.

  • @countrhegemony

What evidence do you have to support your perceptions of this organization?

Do you have any significant reason to have deleloped such opinions, or are you guilty of what you are accusing them of? Speaking an empty word....

  • evidence for my comment here - in the video: this man is seeking glory for himself rather than for god. as for other evidence about this insipid and insidious church and man: have been on the inside and the out, have done substantial research and investigation on Hillsong and Houston. I have read the bible, and understand christianity. I am educated and I know what is, i speak not with an empty word.

  • excuse me? how can you possibly say those kinds of things about hillsong? you're way out of line

  • easy, i am a critical thinker

  • do a google search for it and you are sure to find the church of the flying spaghetti monster :) LOL

  • Soften up all of the punters with some cheap pathetic humor and then go for the jugular and send the offering plate around ;)

How much is a gold pass to heaven these days ?? LOL

There is a sucker born every minute ;) LOL

  • just so you know...there were no offering baskets passed after he spoke. just sayin...

  • somewhere along the way the plate or money bag would have been passed around or maybe they already have their take for the day ;)

  • @rentabomb we love giving back to the God who has given us all that we have! u wanna experience multiplication? give to the lord with a pure heart and He will replenish it multifold! its a pleasure to put in my bit in ur so called 'offering plate' :)

  • They are just appealing to your greed. Why is giving money to Brian Houston or any other church giving money to the Lord ??

Is it just because they say so ??

If you give me your money I will give you a gold pass to heaven as well as lots of nice sounding fairy tales to make you feel good ;)

  • not because they say so but because IT IS WRITTEN IN THE WORD OF GOD! greed what greed? so ur telling my everyone that strives to be abundant is greedy?? ur mistaken... greed is when u want to get it through a wrong means! and there is nothing such as a gold pass... its THE FAITH IN GOD that takes you to heaven :)

  • No greed is when you give money to Brian Houston and then expect it back a 100 fold.

where does it say in the bible to give your money to Brian Houston ??

Who the fuck is Brian Houston that makes you want to give money to him and the rest of his parasitic flock ??

  • i would appreciate it if you would not use abusive language :) the bible talks about giving into the house of the Lord what is in moder day language a church. And when we put money in the offering basket its to the church and the use it as God leads them to. Brian is a servant of God and does not need us to give him money for God is no debtor of man! and the people u are calling parasite flock are people who are making a difference in this world!

  • who says Brian is a servant of God ?? where in the bible does it state this ?? I am servant as well so give me your money ;) LOL

i challenge brian houston not to pass the offering plate around anymore. Lets see if his God bails him out when he runs short of funds ;) We'll see if he really is a representative of God ;)

And how much of a difference is he making to his own life compared to the so called needy that he throws a few crumbs at ??

  • This is exactly how God is providing! Through His people! are you jealous of Brian coz God has blessed him so much??!! Brian is a servant of God coz he serves God! all you can see is the money and the fame! alot of dedication and hardwork goes into doin so much!! switch ur viewing lenses and ull see better.... :)

  • rubbish if you think all i can see is the money then i challenge houston not to pass the offering plate around and then see how long he and his opulent lifestyle last ;)

and where in the bible does it say to collect money in Gods name and then use that money to build massive church structures and entertainment centers ?? shouldn't most of the money be given to poor and needy instead of building entertainment centers ??

  • sadly i cant help you with your challenge coz i am not a close friend of Brian's to forward ur request.... but trust me by throwing this challenge its not Brian ur challenging its God that ur challenging...

these massive church structures and entertainment centers are being built so that the people of God can gather together and worship Him! and hillsong is doing alot for the poor in developing and thirdworld countries if ur not aware of that.

  • where does it say in the bible to spend huge amounts of money on buildings and land whilst forsake the poor and needy ??

it sounds like hillsong are doing a lot more for themselves than the poor :(

  • if God had a problem with them making buildings His presence would have eluded them... u go there and see for yourself how God moves in those very buildings!

its important for you to understand that the hillsong church has a music ministry and so they rightly concentrate on the some and they are a blessing to millions around the world who are poor in spirit....

  • worthless words, blessings and promises of eternity in heaven in exchange for your hard earned money. None of these things are tangible except for your money which just happens to be exactly what they want from you. Don't you find that odd ??

Can't you see the scam !!

  • firstly the words are not worthless, nor are the blessings false nor does anyone promise me eternity only if i give money.....

i tithe by choice not compulsion and God has blessed me with all i could need.....

  • of course you are obligated to give them money because you know that the church can't afford to open it's doors unless it gets money off you.

why do you think the church doesn't tell you to give your money directly to the poor instead of passing the offering plate around ??

  • who told u i don't give money directly to the poor? the money i give to the church is for the church apart from that my family runs an orphanage... the question is what are U doing for the poor?? trying to support them by posting comments on youtube and adding car crash videos??!! :)

  • no no that's not the question. I'm not the one taking money from people under false pretenses and pretending i have a direct connection to god and then spending the money on my own lavish lifestyle whilst throwing a bit of OTHER PEOPLES MONEY at the poor and needy.

why doesn't Houston get himself a normal job as he expects of others who pay him and then he can donate ten percent to any charity he likes ;)

  • Brian gives more than ten percent of what he gets to God.... false pretenses? what false pretenses? its not just money... its groceries that people give in the church... its christmas presents that they give for the homeless... and i have seen people getting all this so there is no question of it not being given...

and as far as Brian's job is concerned he is serving God! there is nothing greater!

  • not to mention the mission work that they do all over this world. has this guy even SEEN the I Heart Revolution documentary?? HELLO!

  • AWESOMELY said joystic08!

  • Brians lifestyle is none of your business! as i mentioned earlier God has blessed him and if he is doing any wrong God will judge him.... u are nobody to judge him :)

  • that's all you bible bashers do is to be apologists for money grabbers and scammers whilst allowing yourselves to be ripped off as well.

    wake up to yourselves !!

  • Bible bashers!! haha.... what are u an athiest? or part of some cult or some thing? i dont know... but what u will see that the people u call 'Bible bashers' never fall short of any thing in life because God sees to their needs :)

  • God looks after your needs whilst tens of thousands of children die of hunger every day and all because you roll up to HillSong and put a few bob in Brian Houston's coffers :( What sort of God would allow that to happen ?

  • U neglect God in the first place and then hold him answerable for all the bad thats happening around you??!! open your eyes and see! Jesus died for you and me!

  • Rubbish that is totally absurd. I don't buy the guilt trip of Jesus dying for me because I wasn't around then.

  • it isn't a guilt trip mate.... and its not a matter of you being around or not!! and i know its kinda weird to tell you to to do something coz we've been arguing all evening :P but trust me just just go in your room keep all your theories aside and just from your heart say if Jesus u are true and what these people are is the truth u talk to me and give me a sign and i assure you that He will answer you! i know this sounds whaky but try it out mate... no harm in givin it a try! :)

  • i've got a better idea for you. Pray for jesus to visually appear in front of everyone here and then we will see if jesus really does answer prayers just like he said in the bible ;)

  • you have to have faith and believe! and trust me it will happen!

  • i wouldn't hold my breath if i was you ;)

  • what do you believe? anything?

  • Yes I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster ;) LOL

  • YouTube is so stupid, haha. Everyone argues about pointless things instead of just enjoying or not enjoying the video above. Lol. :) Oh well.

P.S. Love Brian Houston! He's a good dude!

  • So true...

  • can you guys keep him there were he belongs,In australia we know what he is after.

  • I was there!!! Amazing night!

  • odude86: You are correct about tithing, now tithing ten per cent wasn't brought in under the Jewish Law in the beginning. It was introduced by Abraham, when he gave ten per cent to the King of Salem, who was Priest of God Most High. Tithing is Biblical. Now giving beyond that is your choice and no one else should influence this, if you have a desire in your heart to give thats your choice. You decide who you give to, not your Pastor or a visiting Pastor.has any right to tell you otherwise.

  • @GOLFERWOOD5 Ok, but that doesn't make giving offerings UNbiblical.

  • @odude86 Any form of giving outside of what the Bible intructs and what is incited from the pilpit is UNBiblical. Implying other forms of teaching outside of this is cultish. But the fact is that you have not fully read all of my posts, which I have explained clearly. I have not said that it is wrong to give if it is in your heart to give, people can give to what they want. If they want to give to a Christian Church or if you want to give to a cult that is your business.

  • Remember the Christian Church the House of God, is a house of prayer, a house of praise, a house for the sick, a house for the widow, fatherless, and those who want to seek the Lord. The house of God is not a business, It;s a place and a location, where God's people come together to praise him, worship him, and pray to him, a place where you encounter God as a congregation, where you pray for one another and counsel one another. Tithing beyond ten per cent is not Biblical, read the Bible......

  • Actually, I have & in Malachi 3:10, it says, " Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse...'Test me in this,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven & pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.'" Nobody said you HAVE to give beyond the tithe. I don't think Ps. Houston goes around forcing people to give. Tithe is mandatory...God expects that. Offerings are between you & Holy Spirit. At least thats how my church functions.

  • @odude86 Tithing is ten per cent and this is Biblical, but trying to influence you into giving more than this is unBiblical. Any extra giving is purely from your heart and your own personal desire to give. Most Christians do normally chose where their extra giving goes, but normally some Christians chose certain areas of missions, and missions is usually missionaries and world hunger. I don't consider expensive unnecessary building programs and funding tele evangelist tv programs as world hunger

  • @GOLFERWOOD5 Once again you are making LARGE generalizations about people who give and where they give it to. Not all churches/mega-churches have unnecessary building programs and televangelist world hunger tv programs. Sure some Christians give to missions, but many give elsewhere. I gave an offering once to the childrens ministry at my church. No one asked me to do that. The Holy Spirit laid that on my heart and I was glad to do it. It was what God wanted. Lots of people do the same thing.

  • Tithing is under the law. Abraham tithed to the human King Melchizedek as custom for all generals. Abraham tithed on no other occasion.Tithing is NOT mentioned by God in His covenant with Abraham. We are no longer under the levitical system of tithing. Our Melchizadek (Hebrews 7:15), is Christ, who in heaven, does not need our tithes. If we follow Malachi in tithing we need to follow the law and offer sacrifices as well!

We are to give generously as part of our ministry (Romans 12:8).

  • mmm i totally dis agree... giving beyond tithing is biblical as long as i cheerfully and wholeheartedly give it..." because God loves a cheerful giver"....remember this line?

  • @airwolfjan Tithing ten per cent is the only form of giving that the Bible does say that is a must anything else is from the desire of your own heart, not from the words of other people. No one else should influence you in giving beyond ten per cent. If someone talks you into giving beyond what your heart desire, how can you say that you are giving cheerfully when this was not already in your heart. Some Pastors play on this and use guilt trips upon you to give more, this is manipulation..

  • I would just like to give a quick comment about my previous comment, because two people have complained about something that either didn't read or misread. First I never referred to tithing 10 per cent, this is Biblical, but what I am saying asking to give beyond that is not Biblical. Where in scripture does it say that you must give beyond that. Secondly, I never said that their is nothing wrong with being successful, but business and the christian church is separate from each other. continue

  • Are...no. Giving generously and having a generous heart towards people is mandatory. 'Tithing' that you are referring to is part of the Hebrew temple tax system. We are not Hebrews and do not live in ancient Israel.

This line of crooked theology has been used for 1500 years to legitimise building programs and church excess.

If you want to put old testament law codes into practice-go ahead. You will need to do all of them at the same time as you can't pick and choose what laws to follow.

  • The problem with Hillsong and mega churches is that they are more like businesses than churches, and they use their churches that they pastor as a business this is an actual sin, remember Jesus and his whip. The Pharsees did the same thing in the Temple, and the Pharesses never got paid, they all had other jobs. Hillsong have great music, its just that Hills Christian Life Centre should never have merged with Hillsong music. Hillsong should have been totally seperate..

  • I have to disagree with you. The tithe of 10% IS BIBLICAL. Hillsong has an insane of amount of people. If all those people, are giving the BIBLICAL tithe, then obviously, there's gonna be some money flowing through that ministry. Why is it sinful for a church to be successful? Does God not say in His word that He wants to prosper us? How can you compare pastors of a mega church to a Pharisees? They didn't even believe Jesus was the Messiah. They were stuck up, snotty, lame excuses for (cont.)

  • ...religious leaders. They were unwilling to minister to people who were not in the upper echelon of society. Hillsong's ministry is JUST the opposite of that. They reach out to people in the lowliest and poorest of conditions, for Christ's name's sake. The only thing they have in common is that they have money. But what matters is what they do with it. And Hillsong chooses time after time to do more and more ministry. As far as them merging...they just changed their name. It's not that serious.

  • hi,

    you are right

  • Pastor=replacement Christ. Get out of those things called churches and people like this guy. You don't need them!!!!!!

  • Wow, thats a pretty bold statement. Would you like to back that one up?

  • pastors are not replacements for Christ.. they are instruments only for your information.. in a sense, people don't need pastors because there is Christ.. but christians are badly needed because they are the ones who will spread the gospel to people... God is so great.

  • God still speaks to people on earth! There are still prohets and new messages God sends to us! Jesus is the only saviour but not the last messenger!

  • Oh my goodness! Why not wrap yourself in the shower curtain and go for it. lol Sad but true we all have moments like this.

  • this story is funny! he also told this at the first hillsong conference in europe in 2006!

he's a funny guy. and his wife is pretty funny too.

i'm sure there is a lot of fun there in the houston home

  • It is a well known fact that you can influence peoples minds using such techniques, and unfortuantely for his followers, Mr Houston is biblically inept. Many of the forementioned technics are used by parents to influence their childrens understanding. I would give anything to meet him one day in front of a few hundred thousand people for a bible challenge, but that won't change the gullibility of people, Sad but true.

  • techniques, sorry.

  • Brian Houston is a very clever man. He has the essential skills of a motivational speaker and he knows it. The best techniques to influencing people, as any motivational speaker uses are these. Hype the crowd first, generally with the use of music. Speak quickly but clearly, leaving little time to absorb what has been said. Repeat statements. Leave your pauses short. Change focus or stories regularly. Request audiences to repeat your statements, or request agreement. ie, Amen.

  • Is this church or a comedy club?

  • um, what is he talking about exactly? Sorry, I am asian so I cannot really understand because of his accent...

  • Basically he had a shower but forgot his towel and ended up walking into someone else's room instead of his own when he was looking for it!

  • this just demonstrates the importance of always knowing where one's towel is

  • thank you for that light-hearted, non-controversial comment! lol. its refreshing after everything else i've been reading.

  • LOL your comment made me laugh out loud!

  • hahahaha your a champion

  • i'm sorry you feel that way. :(

  • god bless you, really, keep your comments to yourself man, if thats how you feel about them

  • Romans 8:26

"So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

  • Romans 8:27:

And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will."

Can you please tell me, if speaking in tongues is demonic, then why would it be in Scipture?

  • THANK YOU! All the haters and Holy Spirit-bashers need to read these verses! Gosh I'm so over it.

  • I personally believe the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is spending your whole life denying Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Think about it, the Bible says that everything else can be forgiven EXCEPT the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Think about it, don't you think the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would be something that we could not repent of? Literally dieing without accepting Christ into our hearts is the ONLY THING THAT WE COULD EVER ASK THAT CANNOT BE FORGIVEN.
