@dcsinister i agree with you. i used to watch ROH afer i abandoned wwe back in 2005 and it blew me away!! every match was a 4 or 5 star match and the new talent on it was incredible. it was the pinnacle of pro wrestling in the USA. then the channel i watched it on went bust and i didnt see it for years and watched tna and wwe slowly get castrated. i found some matches on youtube of new roh matches and it was pathetic! the business in general is stagnant and needs some "pro wrestling" in it.
Yeah, as wrestling fans, a lot of us look up to Paulie and he's right about most of this stuff. TNA has an incredibly strong roster. When the boys are allowed to just go and work matches, you'll rarely see an outright bad performance. On average, I think they've got a more talented roster than WWE has right now but they're being used really badly. The booking is beyond awful and the guys TNA needs to invest in (Styles, Joe, Kazarian, Red) are not the guys who are getting the camera time.
TNA better watch out, because if they keep using veteran wrestlers and not their up-and-coming talents, some may go to WWE or ROH to get more exposure. I think Samoa Joe might be heading to the WWE from my understanding.

TNA has the greatest active wrestler today, AJ Styles, as the champion. And he is THE champion, not one of two or three like the multiple world titles in WWE. The knockout title and knockout tag team titles prove TNA takes the women's division seriously, and they put on quality matches that are much better than the divas.

I stopped watching WWE 5 years ago, I have been watching TNA religiously ever since. My friends have abandoned WWE and turned to TNA too. I like the product TNA puts out; no bra and panty matches, no one has to kiss Vince's ass in the ring (I really didn't have to see that), no midgets, no humiliation. I like their young guys, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Is TNA perfect? No. Do they have a lot of work to do? Yes. But TNA is better now than the WWE was when I stopped watching WWE.

@sumrandomguy3 I can't disagree with you. In many ways TNA was better before Hogan. They had a better women's division, with Gail Kim, Kong, ODB and the Beautiful People. Samoa Joe and AJ Styles were the main eventers before Hogan showed up, they are TNA's best and need to be the focus of the show. As for the 6 sided ring, I never liked it, so that is one change I don't mind. But there are also some things I do like now. I like Fortune. The tag team division is still strong.

Fourtune is good but never liked what they did to AJ Styles. I wouldn't mind the idea of developing Kazarian's and Beer Money's skills in the group and make this like a transition period in their careers. TNA really has to use their talent well because they have talented guys in the roster

you realize Old ECW's PPV's did more than 4x the number of buys than tna's current avg and old ECW also had a larger paid attendance average.
ECW churned out far more revenue, but TNA is operating a much better business plan and has Spike TV, panda energy among others helping them cover expenses. ECW never had those resources
Oh my God! X-Pac was one of my favorite wrestlers. Im glad to see that Nash and Hunter are still close friends with Pac. He needs to come back to the WWE where we actually care for him. I remeber when he came into the ring in '06 with DX.
I agree with Paul mostly. TNA was really unique in the start but now it kind of reminds me of week version of raw or smackdown. They should try and bring it back to that orginal feel it had.
tna has kinda gone to hell since it decided to make wrestlers like sting and christian cage their main eventers, not that i have anything against either they are both good wrestlers, because they basically started emulating the wwe. But they do have wrestlers like aj styles and christopher daniels that definately define the company.
What TNA doesn't get is that wrestling fans want to see an alternative to the WWE style. TNA used to offer that but not anymore. They don't want to see less in-ring action. They want more exciting matches featuring the younger talent on the roster. Instead, each show is 75% backstage crap/promos and 25% short matches. Occasionally you'll see a decent match booked but there's usually a screwjob finish.
I'm not sold on Samoa Joe..the guy just looks overweight...why promote him as a "submission machine" when most of his matches end in DQs?
If you're going to push anyone, it should be A-J Styles..they short circuted one of the better story lines involving Karen Angle..that could have cultivated in a big draw PPV match for Karen's hand in marriage--you could have had the TNA girls in bridesmaids dresses ready to go, and some of the boys dressed in formal wear as lumber jacks..

@sumrandomguy3 I can't disagree with you. In many ways TNA was better before Hogan. They had a better women's division, with Gail Kim, Kong, ODB and the Beautiful People. Samoa Joe and AJ Styles were the main eventers before Hogan showed up, they are TNA's best and need to be the focus of the show. As for the 6 sided ring, I never liked it, so that is one change I don't mind. But there are also some things I do like now. I like Fortune. The tag team division is still strong.

Fourtune is good but never liked what they did to AJ Styles. I wouldn't mind the idea of developing Kazarian's and Beer Money's skills in the group and make this like a transition period in their careers. TNA really has to use their talent well because they have talented guys in the roster

TNA need to have a strong X-Division match each week, with very good matches and a solid focus to it - so it doesn't feel like an inferior title
If they keep Legends title, it should ONLY be competed for by actual 'legends' (well, old timers. Perhaps even bring in old stars randomly to compete for it on on off appearances or something
They also need to work on re-naming their PPV and giving them different branding. Lockdown's a good one (as they're in a cage), but No Surrender means nothing.

They are trying to keep the company afloat with all these old and former WWE/WCW wrestlers and not pushing the new and young talent. you realize Old ECW's PPV's did more than 4x the number of buys than tna's current avg and old ECW also had a larger paid attendance average.
ECW churned out far more revenue, but TNA is operating a much better business plan and has Spike TV, panda energy among others helping them cover expenses. ECW never had those resources

What TNA doesn't get is that wrestling fans want to see an alternative to the WWE style. TNA used to offer that but not anymore. They don't want to see less in-ring action. They want more exciting matches featuring the younger talent on the roster. Instead, each show is 75% backstage crap/promos and 25% short matches. Occasionally you'll see a decent match booked but there's usually a screwjob finish.

If you're going to push anyone, it should be A-J Styles..they short circuted one of the better story lines involving Karen Angle..that could have cultivated in a big draw PPV match for Karen's hand in marriage--you could have had the TNA girls in bridesmaids dresses ready to go, and some of the boys dressed in formal wear as lumber jacks..

Matter of factly, TNA is a dirt poor promotion and really doesn't pay the top tier talent because they can't afford to. Spike pays all the top tier talent, and basically if it weren't for Spike, TNA would have died in 2005. And don't start on the Panda Energy comp, TNA does what Spike says, they pay the bills.

TNAs first problem is Vince Russo. The former head writer of WWF in the great Attitude era. He sucks now at booking. If Heyman were to join TNA, TNA would have much better booking and I would possibly start watching it again. But, its all what ifs. So, im not going to say much about Heyman in TNA unless it happens. I totally agree with Paul E, they had the right direction with X Division using all these indie guys in innovative matches. It was getting good to great with AJ, Jerry Lynn and Lo Ki.
