now i know going to any park whether it be any amusement park in california that there is always chance nowadays that you take the chance getting on rides either at risk of your life or paralized like at knotts or death whatever when i visit i do have the mindset that we are taking a chance since these parks are not maintained or probably have cutoff people entering the park its funny movie theathre and shopping groceries stores population but not amusement parks who r they paying off i wonder?
you have these rides running from sun up to closing of the park always running every ride when walt was alive walt would constantly replace things cars boats these corporations dont care about the people only the money for these amore bad things they think is cheaper to happen to people then spending money like walt did when he was alive to keep people safe and never over crowding when walt ran things never other states set population limit not claifornia or florida no the money to important
young boy toes sliced off from big thunder before some yrs before the bid death crash flipping and killing off tracks and also fire in the hotel xmas tree on fire and big boat not the steamboat but other one forgot the name mast completely broke of killed elderly grandfather i could go on and these are just to name a few that has happened in the last 10yrs
first crash but not first thing the machines are constantly moving from 8am or earlier to whenever the closing every single day only in florida and california they are not restricted by population in parks over crowding where old woman got trampled she was i believe to be 70 or so cause over crowding in california they dont cut off population entry when people pack are packed in the parks like sardines when it takes 1hour to walk down main st. to adventureland and constant bumping, shoving .
Wow! I had no clue that this happened. I just got back from WDW today starting from June 2nd and I knew that the monorail was closed but I didn't know it crashed! Too bad space mountain is closed for renovation. Wanted to go on xD.
I know this is late, but it must be cleared up...the monorail(s) are not called Mary Poppins, there is a safety system called MAPO (combination of mary poppins) on each train, it did not fail, it was being overrided. This is the first crash in its 38 year history, its FIRST. Tell me of ANY other mode of transportation with that great of a track record...there isn't one, none. The monorails at Walt Disney World are extremely safe.
trainman7070, you are right! what's that thing about questionning the security of monorails, i mean the monorail system is a very safe one. i know it freaks people out but that won't keep me from using them when i go back there. it's just really tragic
This is in the affirmative! FOX, the most responsible News Agency, is asking an expert how safe they are, to inform us. The answer is that they are very safe. Fox would not be the best if they had not brought that info to us. They wanted people to know that they can feel very good about using them.
Was that NJ's governor on the phone?

so lets see.... 2 crashes in 40 years? hurm. I really doubt their safety now. I think I'll just get in my car. That has SUCH better odds :)

Oh My God! Fricken Fox News- "how safe are monorail systems?"
Jesus...you never see anyone questioning the safety of cars yet millions of people drive a day and hundreds of people die in car crashes.
Another reason not to watch MSM...especially Fixed News.
