It was the conductor. He despised Kiri and knew full well that she was ill, and altered the temp throughout the entire production, rushing here and dragging sooo slowly at the end that she was breaking phrases and almost unable to sustain her voice. Very unprofessional on his part, not to mention nasty and cruel.

Wowza! Thanks for sharing that. People forget how much conductors can work against us sometimes, haha. She's still fierce as anything, of course.
