But the koran is a jumble, with no order and the tales in it while similar (eg same name of person) to the Bible aren't the same. Also if you read the hadith, it shows many of the tales in the koran came only in response to some charge leveled at muhammad, or in order to expiate some sin of his or give permission to do whatever he wanted.

I am a Christian, and the Bible is my favorite book which I read everyday. However, I think calling it the word of God may be a stretch...don't you think some value was lost in translation? (english or other non orig. lang.) In other words, would the original text be more valuable? Also, wouldn't it be somewhat irrelevant since we can have a flawed interpretation of these so called "perfect words". (e.g. nothing is understood/revealed w/o the Holy Spirit)...

I've been trying to get answers by watching clips like these and looking up the passages. It's sad though that videos like this only have 7800 views when more meaningless clips have millions. I don't understand why more people aren't looking for answers to big questions. IE-"Is there an afterlife", "What religion should I follow", "does God exist" Etc. Anyways, nice video. I believed it until I read it all for myself. The Bible is loaded with injustice, cruelty, stupidity, violence, evil, and arrogance. The OT god orders genecide, baby-killing, murder, theft, human sacrifice, ethnic cleansing, cruel and excessive punishments, unreasonable laws, as well as many other disgusting evil acts in the name of God. In 1 Corinthians 2:11-14, God tells us that those that do not have His Spirit in them can not understand the things of God. The Bible is for those that believe on the name of the Son of God, 1 John 5:13 and for those that hunger and thirst after righteousness. The rest are decieved by the devil, Revelation 12:9, and his ministers 2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:13-15.

@Lightmane321 Hell is either one word that describes three different places: 1. hades, grave, pit=the world of the dead;2.gehenna=place of punishment and 3. tartaros=abyss, or it's one place that contains the above parts. Everyone that dies before the return of Christ will go to either hades or gehenna. Tartaros has the sinning agels. Only the wicked and the nations that forgot God will go to gehenna Psalm 9:17, but not for all eternity, Malicahi 4:1-3, Rev. 20:13-15.

@dortyhoor I have read the koran and would say its not like the Bible as well. Yes its a book, yes it purports to be the word of (a) God. But the koran is a jumble, with no order and the tales in it while similar (eg same name of person) to the Bible aren't the same. Also if you read the hadith, it shows many of the tales in the koran came only in response to some charge leveled at muhammad, or in order to expiate some sin of his or give permission to do whatever he wanted.

Overall, I think insisting that the Bible is the "perfect Word of God" can do more harm than good. When it comes down to it, I put my confidence in the Life of Christ and not in the written words of any book. Though, as I said earlier, I do love the Bible- especially the gospels :)

I am a Christian, and the Bible is my favorite book which I read everyday. However, I think calling it the word of God may be a stretch...don't you think some value was lost in translation? (english or other non orig. lang.) In other words, would the original text be more valuable? Also, wouldn't it be somewhat irrelevant since we can have a flawed interpretation of these so called "perfect words". (e.g. nothing is understood/revealed w/o the Holy Spirit)...

Luke (2:1,2) says Jesus was born when Quirinius was govener of Damascus and during the registration/census of Judea which happened 10 years after Herods death. Yet in Matthew (2:1) it says Jesus was born during Herods reign. I consider that a contradiction.
The details may differ but they are nbot what is important, it is Jesus teachings that are supposed to be what people focus on in the Bible. And no you dont have to believe he is the son of God to be a Christian before anyone asks.

I still see her crying and calling for her daughter but she was no more. Killed by soldiers. It shocked me and proved for me how perversed we human are. I've been trying to get answers by watching clips like these and looking up the passages. It's sad though that videos like this only have 7800 views when more meaningless clips have millions. I don't understand why more people aren't looking for answers to big questions. IE-"Is there an afterlife", "What religion should I follow", "does God exist" Etc. Anyways, nice video. It definitely added some post-it's and notes in my Bible.

Interesting points you make here. Firstly, you think you can write such a book? Than you have to make sure that someone in let's say in the year 2100 stands up and fullfill your profecies, not one, but all 300. Also you have to profecy about the future of an entire nation. Concerning the revelation of God; I believe He wants to reveal Himself to you if you stand open for His Word. But tell me, how would you like God to reveal Himself to you? Agreed, absolute evidence does not exist, only faith.

1. God is HOLY. "Holy" means set apart from. It means "totally not like common, sinful, unregenerate man."
2. God is ALL POWERFUL. He could totally annihilate the entire human race as easy as blinking an eye! It is entirely by His mercy that He doesn't.
3. God is JUST. He does not put up with error! Not even slightly. He is 100% perfect!

Go to a country where voodoo is practiced. Hang out with the people and interview them. Watch them do their rituals. Its irrefutable - voodoo is certainly real: nonetheless it gets its power from demon spirits.

I personally know a lady who spent years in an insane asylum. After deciding to pray for demonic deliverance she was miraculously healed. The healing was confirmed and she was released. She now lives a normal life.

They go to hell and they will never ever be allowed out. They will scream in torment & agony & pain & misery for all freaking eternity and you claim that they deserve this and that God is merciful, JUST, loving, kind, good, etc...

You're not holy. You may think you are because you're saved, but the bible says that you're a sinner. We're all sinners. It's only through Christ that we can stand. It's only through Christ that sinners will be saved & allowed in.
The unholy are saved & allowed in heaven.
Thanks be to God who saves us from our sins & reconciles us to Himself.

Salvation is a gift from God, purchased by the blood of Jesus.
Suppose you owe $1 Million. The court orders you to go to jail for 20 years because you can't pay.
I love you so much. I have so much mercy on you I raise the money and send you a check for $1 Million to get you out of jail. You tear up the check and refuse my merciful gift. Do you still expect to get out of jail? Its the same with God.

I never said that God will force his mercy on us or just automatically let everyone in to His heaven. You're reading that into my words. Sort of like you do scripture referring to hell, even though eternal punishment makes no sense for it isn't JUST in any sense of the imagination.
Stop reading into the text that which isn't there. Hell is a place where God punishes sinners, but if He never stops punishing them, then God isn't JUST. Thankfully, God is JUST and WANTS to save everyone

I fully believe that all who die unsaved will die 'in their sins' & will stand before God on judgement day & He will 'pour out His wrath' on those sinners & even cast them into hell. But what does that mean exactly? If you want to believe in a literal hell, that's up to you. I don't. Hell might be literal, but then it certainly isn't eternal for that would be so sick, it would make Hitler look like a nun.
Can you imagine such a cruel punishment? I can't.

You know what? Maybe I'm not a christian. I'm certainly not according to you. But I do believe in God and I believe that Jesus is the Christ. I believe that He died for my sins & that only through faith in what He did for me can I be reconciled to God and saved from those sins. His righteousness is applied to me. His blood covers my sins & cleanses me from all unrighteousness, yet I remain a sinner & fail to live up to His standard, which really sucks, if you'll pardon my slang

You just earned my respect, sir. Anyone that would humbly admit he may not be a Christian and that he is a sinner is honorable in my eyes. You are light years ahead of most people.
On that note, let me encourage you: Keep pressing in to know the Lord. He wants to know you intimately. Believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins is just the beginning. Keep going! I'll have to watch these videos a little later seeing that my children (I have 3) are almost always in the general vicinity.
Some people don't believe in God. I don't believe in atheists.
Its easy to be an atheist when things are going well. But if any particular atheist has the privilege of knowing he only has minutes to live - they'll start praying, and reconsidering- I guarantee it.

I pretty much agree, however this guy has SOME good points/arguments. I've sent him a personal message & would like to address his Ode to Yahweh video, but I'm not sure how to approach it. Atheism is silly, but that doesn't mean that christianity is true. It just means that atheism is silly... lol

@Lightmane321 I've watched both videos, which prove the Bible is the true word of God, John 17:17. In 1 Corinthians 2:11-14, God tells us that those that do not have His Spirit in them can not understand the things of God. The Bible is for those that believe on the name of the Son of God, 1 John 5:13 and for those that hunger and thirst after righteousness. The rest are decieved by the devil, Revelation 12:9, and his ministers 2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:13-15.

1light0: I'm glad you had the guts to watch both videos. I'm impressed. So tell me then. Why would God command the murder of babies? Why would God command that women be stoned to death? You really believe that God would do these things & still claim that God is Love, Holy, Just, Good, etc...?
Well... you believe He actually created a hell knowing that billions of souls would spend all eternity there so I guess this makes perfect sense to you.
To me, it makes God out to be a monster.

How any christian today can believe that God would actually create Hell (a place where lost souls would be in torment & pain FOR ALL ETERNITY) is beyond me. The very idea of punishing even 1 person forever is so insane, yet you all believe that God will do this to billions of people & you'll live in heaven with Him the whole time & be perfectly fine with it. HOLY CRAP! Some believed that part of our reward was KNOWING that the lost would be burning in hell.
How sick is that?

@Lightmane321 Hell is either one word that describes three different places: 1. hades, grave, pit=the world of the dead;2.gehenna=place of punishment and 3. tartaros=abyss, or it's one place that contains the above parts. Everyone that dies before the return of Christ will go to either hades or gehenna. Tartaros has the sinning agels. Only the wicked and the nations that forgot God will go to gehenna Psalm 9:17, but not for all eternity, Malicahi 4:1-3, Rev. 20:13-15.

You should talk with the campingites & explain this to them. They believe that the dead are dead & will never live again. Good luck trying to show them that they're wrong. I don't beat people over the head with the Bible, Christ didn't. He said if any have an ear to hear, let them hear, Matthew 11:15;13:9,23.
