and she also does the same thing to hearing impaired kids? how about just take the bitch out of teaching, that should solve the problem. and really if you couldn't deal with the kid maybe having him removed from the class I could understand but that whole taking him to the front of the class and having the other kids humiliate him like that is ridiculous. yeah make the kid feel like crap while you're at it, does it help you sleep at night that you bully kids that can't defend themselves?
Would you think that 4 men one 50, one 53, one 66 and one 70 bully one female because they told her women don't belong in the workforce they belong at home baking cakes and cookies? Bullying can get you any place ant time. You can be a pretty girl that everyone likes, but if you are smarter than the bully(s), you better put your fathers war clothes on. You can be 42 and be bullied.
@Paula7779311 Yes, you can be bullied at any age, but as an adult you have clearer paths of defense. At the workplace, that's called sexual discrimination and harassment and is illegal. Sure, at 42 you can put your fathers war clothes on.... because you are an adult. This was a 5 year old child. Not a fitting comparison.
She did this to not only to this child but to another child that was deaf or hearing impaired. They can't get rid of the teacher because she has tenure. This teacher is a stupid bitch who should be fired and the district sued.
@DarkQuietWyattON Yes she does have a history now along with pretty much all of Florida sadly. It's really sad that there's any work position with children that allows abuse. That is a great failing of our legal system and the Unions. It should never be that way. It should be "abuse a child: get fired" and that should be the end of it. This empowers a negative behavior in hateful teachers who abuse their positions because the know the system.
@thewildeman2 They need 2 picket the school & demand that she be terminated (just like Arnold did to Maria!) STAND UP PEOPLE! If all we do is BITCH about things & NOT take action, it will continue & continue & continue! How long R U gonna let it keep happening? Those who live there, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, REGARDLESS OF TENURE!!! This poor kid will ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS & be mentally scarred 4 LIFE N some way 4 what happened 2 him & the teacher gets off? WOW! DON'T BE A COWARD! DO IT 4 THE BOY!
@Patriot042 Actually, they sued the school and were awarded around 300K. The teacher was removed from duty, but then they put her back in another district where she mistreated a deaf girl. Of course, this happened two years ago and the video remains as a testament to the damage of bullying of all kinds. But yes, they did take action. Thanks.
@thewildeman2 YEEEEE HAAAAAAAW!!! If I were that little boy, I'd be on t.v. shouting "I'm going to Disney Land!" Heh heh! Justice served! I guess the school district didn't get a hint when she did it the first time, huh Now, THERE'S some common sense for them! :-D
@lollumsx Discipline? I see, so you think public embarrassment at five years old is effective as "discipline"? Better than just taking steps to explain to the child how they are affecting others and teaching proper social skills? Gee, while your at it, why don't we go out and invite all our neighbors to watch us "discipline" our kids? I bet you'd go for a nice public beating while your at it. Nice thought your sharing there.
I remember when this had happen to the young boy. And i remember how mad i got after seeing it on the news. But for a person who i am guessing you don't know the boy personally? To take time out to make a video telling the boy he is special and i agree he is. I got to say right on man!!! The world would be a better place if we had more people like yourself. God be with you my brother.

know what i think, if an adult can't handle the child, mabie just mabie the adult is fucking stupid and the child is where he should be or ahead. If your baseball team can't handle plaing baseball with my team, it's not because my team is distruptive or dumb, it's becuase my teams better. if the teacher can't handle the kid the teacher is intellectually inferiour to the child and therefore should not be teaching in the frist place. In my experiences of live, i've met lots of dofferent people
Wow, clokrak1. I had to remove all the rest of your response due to excessive language and disciminatory remarks against all teachers. Not all teachers are like this. You stated statistics that are also simply untrue or unfounded. If you want to say anything else, please be less vulgar.
Further on the idea of a teacher being automatically inferior to a student because she can't handle him. I'm sorry, but you need to tak a better look at classroom dynamics. In every field you will find your good and bad examples. That's a given. I can see you're point on a person by person example but I do not agree with your all encompassing assessment of teachers who are underpaid and in short supply.
Students at any age can be special, like Alex. Sad to say, some schools are better off shut down. Some teachers can't keep up with the times. Though I had better experience in school, when I grew up, though, it was a different story. One neurologists labeled me an "atypical autistic" and social workers in my town later on decided to muscle me out from finding a job all because of my alleged "autism" history.
I have one better for you, child is racially targeted for daily threats which he reports then school and district tell him, in writing, not to go to some of his classes and to only use nurse's restroom. It is ok to use segregation against white kids because he was probably raising the average test scores and costing them Title 1 money. We had to move out of Delaware just to get an equal education regardless of race.
As far as I'm concerned, bad is bad. Have you talked to a federal attorney? Or any attorney? You should be able to hold the district liable for their failure and segregation. I'm sure they'll say they were trying to protect your son, but that was the wrong way to do it. Don't give up, talk to people and even the media if you have to.
Talked to several lawyers, they told me there wasn't enough money in it for them. I was in the local paper about this, no one cared. I contact the media to this day and never get any response.
Ah, Yes, the apathy of the so called community is astounding at times. I have faced this myself in no uncertain terms. It's amazing how much some won't care until it's their family on the ropes.
I actually used to have a teacher who bullied, not just me, but a few friends of mine cause they were indian in 5th grade. She bullied me cause she thought my work was "Not up to standard" but she bullied them much worse simply because they couldn't speak, in her own words "Perfect English", and I didn't really stand up for them cause I was young at the time and somewhat scared of her. Nowadays, if something like that happened again i'd certainly fight back.
wow, I hope you know that there really wasn't much you could have done at the time. Children should not have to stand up to their teachers, as it is they are not life experienced enough to know for sure what to do. You survived a tough situation. I hope the other kids did as well. Thank you for sharing this.
i know exactly how that poor kid feels...but ive never been voted out of class, i only know how it feels to be singled out and bullied by others. whenever the teacher asked everyone to say negative things about me.other people in older grades always picked on me, for no reason.
Dragonofdeath3636, that little boy didn't deserve anything that happened to him...no child deserves to have negative comments said about them and to be voted out of the class by their fellow students and friends.
Well said, of course, you'll note he didn't respond to my response, lol. I don't think he had a good retort to give to that. I wonder if he had to live with YEARS of stigma and abuse if he would still feel the same?
I had other kids and teachers tell me that I wouldn't make it through High school either, but I did. Not only that I got a college degree just to spite them negative people.
And it's still a terrible thing to do to a kid. Our kids need to grow up with the good and positive ideas in mind. They still have to learn how to deal with the negative, but that doesn't mean it should be taught that way. Bless you as a survivor.
i have too!! in fifth grade, i was slapped across the face by my teacher because i asked what had crawled up her ass and died when she was in a pissy mood...and she hated me, and she went to high school with my mom and because i was my mothers daughter. she actually kept me from most class trips, movies, and any other school activities, saying i didn't have a certain project or work handed in, so i couldn't go. I moved after grade six after i found out she was my teacher for that grade too!!
No matter what you say, there is certainly NEVER a good excuse for a teacher to hit a student. That's assault, bar none. The family hatred is wrong too, wow. I'm sorry for what you went through, but proud of you as a survivor.
Lynch? Hmm, I'll settle for firing myself, but I can't blame how you feel. Alternative school tho, not the answer, educate the school system and bring change, that's the answer.
I was older (9), but similar things happened to me. I was bullied by a teacher and she encouraged other students to bully me. I've always had social and body image problems since then. She's a principal of another school now.
I am truly sorry, that is someone who should not have a career in education today. I can only hope this person learned differently through her career and does differently now. How little justice that must feel like. I hope you have brought yourself abover her though, because you are a better person than she. Be a survivor, you're worth it. :)
Oh, and he deserves to be brought up in front of all the other kids, and it's okay for each of them to be FORCED to say something NEGATIVE about him before they all cast a VOTE to throw him out of class for a DISABILITY? Really?
A lot of You Tubers seem to be talking about this incident, and I'm delighted to see the outrage. This is absolutely unconscionable. In addition to the misery heaped upon this poor child, what about the *various* lessons all those children have learned! Now they have to be retrained, and how, I am wondering, does the educational system hope to seamlessly accomplish that?
i just cant believe it it is terrible i cant even comprehend what must be going thru that childs head. that teacher doesnt desserve to stay a teacher she shouldnt even be allowed near any child. no child and i mean no child deserves that. its hard for me to comprehend and im 53. i want alex to no also that he is very special and he is a good little boy. this shouldnt happen to any kid. im saying this and im a teacher i love all my students they all have potential they are all ver specail.
Well, there has been some justice for that lil boy and the teacher got "reassigned". Thanks for your comment. It's great to see support for him even after all this time.
@ insanedavis109 we need more teachers like you. Alex's teacher is a mean old witch! I think it should be a requirement that people who teacher elementary students have to like children.
wish that was the case sadly unless they do something like have sex with a studebnt but there has to be proof. the school board where i live cares more about adults thatn us the adults have too much protection.
I am a student nurse and I had this stupid whore of a teacher who constantly bullied me during my clinical experience. She NEVER left me alone EVERRRR...she always made me feel like shit. I hope that one day she gets beaten so badly that she cannot be recognised anymore. I hope all teachers who bully students will get what they deserve. FUCKERS.
Ouch. That had to suck. Suffice to say all bullies pretty much suck. As a teacher bullying just doesn't work. I hope your career has been a success in spite of her.
You need an advocate. Are your parents involved with you at all and trying to help? Also have you checked for local autism societies? I will be glad to see if I can look one up for you. Not only do you need relief from the bullying but they need educating to understand you better.
I had a teacher that called me stupid in front of my peers. It was horrifying. I stayed through class, and then when class was dismissed went home and told my aunt who marched up to my school and then went to the deans office and demanded an apology from the teacher. The teacher was embarrased. Two years later when my sister was in his class he remembered me and brought up the incident to her. It did make an impact on him. It turns out Dave, I'm not stupid afterall. smile.
Hear hear and amen. Good for your Aunt to make the truth known to teacher and dean. You had good support. I bet he didn't make the same mistake again then.
same thing happend except i'm the youngest out of my brothers and sisters so not the thing with a sibling. i was so used to it i didn't care. but my boyfriend went nuts!
Dave your video was a very heartwarming. I hope that Alex will allow this circumstance to stregthen him. I'm sure that it will give him character above his peers. What a message during his first formative school year to be told he was unwanted. Children retain almost everything good and bad that happens during those first years. Let's hope that his parents removed him from that school so that the memory of that incident in his peers minds don't cause him to continue t relive that unfortunate day
OMG!! the same thing happend 2 me!! i am scared to tell my mom though. well similar. he asked everyone 2 stand up and say something they hate about me. nothing was done i was put out of the room 4 saying this isn't right!
It horrifies me that this type of thing still happens...especially to a 5 year old boy. I have a 5 year old boy myself now with high functioning autism who is about to start some mainstreaming at school so this doubly hit home for me!!! God help us all
She hung a big sign around my neck that said "my name is (first and last name) and I ride bus # (whatever number it was)." She did this with the sole purpose of humilating me by getting the other kids to laugh at how "out to lunch" I was in hopes it would make me act more normal I guess. I was so embarassed that I started crying in class and crossed my arms over the sign. Then she let a couple other kids pull my arms apart and hold them open while she took a picture of me.
Well said! I am amazed to read the other stories on here and can't believe all the similar experiences. It really makes me feel less alone. I have AS and was undiagnosed my whole life. I remember once my fourth or fifth grade teacher decided that I might not be so "out of it" if she humiliated me in front of class. I guess she thought I would snap out of it and act normal I don't know.
this is disgusting i hope the teachers leaves she should be ashamed of herself i had a similar thing with my son who is older a teacher bullied him at college they should be outed
I think it's utterly shameful to subject an innocent young child like Alex to such emotional cruelty. I hope the teacher responsible does the right thing and apologise, then she should leave teaching forever.
I know what it's like to be humiliated like that in a class, when I was 11/12 my teacher used me as a scapegoat for any problem he had. Now I was lucky because I had the support of my class behind me, Alex evidently did not.
it means she has been reloated (thats all ) she should be sacked she should be told to leave the teaching proffesion but instead they have just moved her on
Good grief. I looked up this article and the teacher has apparently been "reassigned". It sounds to me like she should never be allowed to work with children again. How an adult can be so heartless and cruel to a child boggles the mind.
This poor little guy has enough on his plate without being victimised like this.
Dammit, yeah it was a different time back then, but what you dealt with was still abuse and I hope that you have taken the steps to bring yourself up so that you are bigger and better than your abuser ever could have been. I'm sorry for what you went through and I hope that life is treating you better than that now. Thank you for sharing.
I had a second grade teacher and she was very mean and authoritarian in that she battered me a few times because I did not quite get an assignment done. Also, she chastised me for spitting a piece of peppermint candy in a garbage can. Also, she would get angry if any student wrote over the red margin of our notebook. It was an awful feeling and I have AS, so I know how that kid must have felt.
I want to thank you all for watching this video. It did get to Alex and the site on Facebook is very strong. There are lot's of vids for him now. Way to go Alex!
Bullying is one of the worst problems kids (people) face. There are many ways to handle bullies, such as walk away or talk to an adult - this little boy couldn't do either in that moment. My heart goes out to him.
To Alex: You are cared for and loved just because you are you.
Very well said thewildeman2. You're right Alex is special just like every kid is. I not only feel sorry for him but also his classmates. They don't understand what they did was wrong and something tells me the teacher somehow made them do this to Alex.
Absolutely right, that's why every kid in that class needs some intervention to help them understand what happened and that their teacher was "wrong" in having them do that. I feel bad for the kids that stuck up for him too, two of them did and they got screamed at by the teacher. Not cool, thanks for your comment.
and she also does the same thing to hearing impaired kids? how about just take the bitch out of teaching, that should solve the problem. and really if you couldn't deal with the kid maybe having him removed from the class I could understand but that whole taking him to the front of the class and having the other kids humiliate him like that is ridiculous. yeah make the kid feel like crap while you're at it, does it help you sleep at night that you bully kids that can't defend themselves?

thewildeman2 2 years ago
I was older (9), but similar things happened to me. I was bullied by a teacher and she encouraged other students to bully me. I've always had social and body image problems since then. She's a principal of another school now.

I am truly sorry, that is someone who should not have a career in education today. I can only hope this person learned differently through her career and does differently now. How little justice that must feel like. I hope you have brought yourself abover her though, because you are a better person than she. Be a survivor, you're worth it. :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Omg who cares if the kid is inturrupting the class he deserves to get kicked out
dragonofdeath3636 2 years ago
Oh, and he deserves to be brought up in front of all the other kids, and it's okay for each of them to be FORCED to say something NEGATIVE about him before they all cast a VOTE to throw him out of class for a DISABILITY? Really?

You should be a journalist or reporter for a living. You are very talented and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for your positive messages. God bless you.

Thank you very much, that is just awesome of you to say.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
A lot of You Tubers seem to be talking about this incident, and I'm delighted to see the outrage. This is absolutely unconscionable. In addition to the misery heaped upon this poor child, what about the *various* lessons all those children have learned! Now they have to be retrained, and how, I am wondering, does the educational system hope to seamlessly accomplish that?
kalacaw 3 years ago
That is an excellent question
thewildeman2 3 years ago
Dave, I watched this again, and I must tell you that your delivery is suburb. I read what
AutieParentsUnited had to say, and I agree 100%. I would expect to see this level of talent in television news broadcast.
Way to advocate. Go team! :)

i just cant believe it it is terrible i cant even comprehend what must be going thru that childs head. that teacher doesnt desserve to stay a teacher she shouldnt even be allowed near any child. no child and i mean no child deserves that. its hard for me to comprehend and im 53. i want alex to no also that he is very special and he is a good little boy. this shouldnt happen to any kid. im saying this and im a teacher i love all my students they all have potential they are all ver specail.
insanedavis109 3 years ago
Well, there has been some justice for that lil boy and the teacher got "reassigned". Thanks for your comment. It's great to see support for him even after all this time.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
@ insanedavis109 we need more teachers like you. Alex's teacher is a mean old witch! I think it should be a requirement that people who teacher elementary students have to like children.
breetherooster 2 years ago
so why did the teacher do this?
maishah123 3 years ago
Good question, she was not allowed to comment.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
What can she possibly say?
kalacaw 3 years ago
I pray to God that teacher was fired! I know if I were principal, I would've fired that teacher!
BassManSTS 3 years ago
She was "relocated" so they did it the weak way. Yeah, she should have been fired
thewildeman2 3 years ago
wish that was the case sadly unless they do something like have sex with a studebnt but there has to be proof. the school board where i live cares more about adults thatn us the adults have too much protection.

FUCKERS.
ANIMEGIRL385 3 years ago
Ouch. That had to suck. Suffice to say all bullies pretty much suck. As a teacher bullying just doesn't work. I hope your career has been a success in spite of her.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
all my class in my school in britian hate me cause of my autism they even come up to me and throw my work evrywhere
in school mainly when some bullys me cause of my autism is the teacher sends me out to clam DOWN and this leaves me really annoyed
i been bullyed cause of my autism ins chool for 2 years :'[
Moshermario1nd 3 years ago

It turns out Dave, I'm not stupid afterall. smile.
yohannaleese 3 years ago
Hear hear and amen. Good for your Aunt to make the truth known to teacher and dean. You had good support. I bet he didn't make the same mistake again then.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
same thing happend except i'm the youngest out of my brothers and sisters so not the thing with a sibling. i was so used to it i didn't care. but my boyfriend went nuts!
rainbowgirl678 3 years ago
Dave your video was a very heartwarming. I hope that Alex will allow this circumstance to stregthen him. I'm sure that it will give him character above his peers. What a message during his first formative school year to be told he was unwanted. Children retain almost everything good and bad that happens during those first years. Let's hope that his parents removed him from that school so that the memory of that incident in his peers minds don't cause him to continue t relive that unfortunate day
yohannaleese 3 years ago
Thank you. It is my understanding that Alex is doing well. His mother is amongst my friends on Myspace.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
OMG!! the same thing happend 2 me!! i am scared to tell my mom though. well similar. he asked everyone 2 stand up and say something they hate about me. nothing was done i was put out of the room 4 saying this isn't right!
rainbowgirl678 3 years ago
It's important that you do tell. No one deserves to be treated that way... autistic or not.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
It horrifies me that this type of thing still happens...especially to a 5 year old boy. I have a 5 year old boy myself now with high functioning autism who is about to start some mainstreaming at school so this doubly hit home for me!!! God help us all
whitewave1027 3 years ago
Just remember, you are so much bigger than that now as a survivor. Because of you, your son has better chances than you or I could ever have known.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
She hung a big sign around my neck that said "my name is (first and last name) and I ride bus # (whatever number it was)." She did this with the sole purpose of humilating me by getting the other kids to laugh at how "out to lunch" I was in hopes it would make me act more normal I guess. I was so embarassed that I started crying in class and crossed my arms over the sign. Then she let a couple other kids pull my arms apart and hold them open while she took a picture of me.
whitewave1027 3 years ago
Well said! I am amazed to read the other stories on here and can't believe all the similar experiences. It really makes me feel less alone. I have AS and was undiagnosed my whole life. I remember once my fourth or fifth grade teacher decided that I might not be so "out of it" if she humiliated me in front of class. I guess she thought I would snap out of it and act normal I don't know.
whitewave1027 3 years ago
this is disgusting i hope the teachers leaves she should be ashamed of herself i had a similar thing with my son who is older a teacher bullied him at college they should be outed
curvygirl1123 3 years ago 9
Well said Dave.
I hope he knows just how special he is.

The teacher has been "reassigned" so to speak, I don't know what that means exactly, but it's happened.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
it means she has been reloated (thats all ) she should be sacked she should be told to leave the teaching proffesion but instead they have just moved her on
curvygirl1123 3 years ago
I agree.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
Good grief. I looked up this article and the teacher has apparently been "reassigned". It sounds to me like she should never be allowed to work with children again. How an adult can be so heartless and cruel to a child boggles the mind.
This poor little guy has enough on his plate without being victimised like this.
thatgaybloke 3 years ago
Yeah, I could only agree with reassigned to something like trash can washing. She should have been fired outright.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
thats crazy! i mean he's like 5 years old... oh comon! hes 5 or 6! give him a break!
constantine73092 3 years ago
You are speaking the national consensus so far. I am waiting for updated news to present on the matter.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
That is awful!
I had a sixth grade teacher who called me up
in front of the class, and she pulled my pants
down in front of the boys, and everybody.and expose my buttocks. She spanked me hard with a
ruler. Why did she do this? Because she felt like it!I was'nt making any noise or anything!
She was having a bad day!
She told the other students to tell no one.
My parents took her side, and would not protect
me.
This was in the sixties.I guess it was a different time back them.
starkisk 3 years ago
Dammit, yeah it was a different time back then, but what you dealt with was still abuse and I hope that you have taken the steps to bring yourself up so that you are bigger and better than your abuser ever could have been. I'm sorry for what you went through and I hope that life is treating you better than that now. Thank you for sharing.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
I had a second grade teacher and she was very mean and authoritarian in that she battered me a few times because I did not quite get an assignment done. Also, she chastised me for spitting a piece of peppermint candy in a garbage can. Also, she would get angry if any student wrote over the red margin of our notebook. It was an awful feeling and I have AS, so I know how that kid must have felt.
Emanuelknicks 3 years ago
It's a horrible feeling, thank you for sharing. The more who make it known how it actually feels, the more chance we may educate others.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
I want to thank you all for watching this video. It did get to Alex and the site on Facebook is very strong. There are lot's of vids for him now. Way to go Alex!
thewildeman2 3 years ago
aw thats horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'd love 2 kill that teacher
poor kid=[
flemming08 3 years ago
You are not alone in your feelings there, but I will settle for fired after being voted out by the other teachers.
thewildeman2 3 years ago
Bullying is one of the worst problems kids (people) face. There are many ways to handle bullies, such as walk away or talk to an adult - this little boy couldn't do either in that moment. My heart goes out to him.
To Alex: You are cared for and loved just because you are you.
Great video, thewildman2.
debswildhoney 3 years ago
Very well said thewildeman2. You're right Alex is special just like every kid is. I not only feel sorry for him but also his classmates. They don't understand what they did was wrong and something tells me the teacher somehow made them do this to Alex.
cne08 3 years ago
Absolutely right, that's why every kid in that class needs some intervention to help them understand what happened and that their teacher was "wrong" in having them do that. I feel bad for the kids that stuck up for him too, two of them did and they got screamed at by the teacher. Not cool, thanks for your comment.
