Yep, the worst merger in automotive history. Walter Chrysler and K.T. Keller would turn over in their graves if they knew "Fix It Again Tony" took over their great company. Quality is going down like the crappy Beretta 9mm automatics.
Have you ever actually DRIVEN or RIDDEN IN a Vista?!! If you had you know exactly what I mean when I say that it is one of the greatest automobiles ever built!!! My family owned a blue 1985 Vista from the fall of 1984 through the winter of 1993-4 & I would give ANYTHING to have one back!!!!!!!
I just hope that FIAT will do the efford to make very reliable cars so that Americans feel happy to own them. And the Chrisler workers kan keep theyr jobs. So please keep your tumbs up instead of throwing dirt.
So when Mercedes Benz and Chrysler combine Mercedes quality and Reliability went down the drain ? Its a terrible thing to happen. My family brought those cars for years and now we see our best loving car go with the rest of the crappy ass cars. Poor Mercedes ! I bet the original owner would be mad If he knew this has happened.
Fiat has changed, I know that multipla is an horrible car: Fiat TimeToMarket was hig: lots of their cars were old just after the production. Years ago Fiat changed its organization and nowadays it is a good company.
Then, if you still think that Bravo, Nuova Punto, Panda are terrible I say "de gustibus non disputandum est".
But remember that they are designed to be small and handy not big and fuel-inefficent
Finally, FIAT also owns Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Lancia.
Italian car design is at a low point. Ferrari is nearly as vulgar as Lamborghini. Lancias look like dead fish. FIAT's best designs look like VW rejects. Alfa's signature grille is an anachronism.
This is a bad merger, but you're free to do what you want. I won't buy their cars. I won't buy their stock.
I'm an American who was just in Europe. See my above comment. The new 500 proves that they can't move ahead. Like other retro cars, it's a bigger fatter, useless copy of the past.
man none asking you to do anything just don't spread crap over things you don't ever know :)
and it's well known that americans love big and wasteful cars but well the other option for crysler was to die and all their workers being fired.
Would you've been happier then?
i bet your one of those America is da best the rest is crap O_o actually you're a merge of all the bad things from all over the world! at least that how the world see you.
Chrysler's problem is that is like GM's only more so: They are foreigners in their own country. They have no idea what anyone wants. Insularity does that. Of course, I would like to see the workers keep working. It's not their fault. They make what they're told to make.
