  • Did you just set your probes on 10A DC and set the DMM dial to 20mA DC?

    =)))))))

  • Nice generator & it looks to be in very good condition!

  • I've been buying cheap (old/broken) treadmills off ebay over the last few months and found that the motors from older treadmills tend to be better (low RPM). Generaly the lower the RPM the better the motor will be, and I disagree that you need to gear it as mentioned, If you can get over 12v at around 200rpm, then you should be fine for light-moderate winds, if you choose the right blades, I'm using mach3 falcon blades by Missouri Wind and solar with a very simalar motor, stunning results.

  • I'd like to see this in a wind turbine :)

  • It will make a great generator but u will have to gear it up, if u gonna charge a 12 volt system .I have 3 treadmill motors I use as wind generators that work great and their all geared from 4to1 to 7to1 .If u do gear one make sure u have enough blades to drive the system .You'll have alot fun with it

  • Send it to me and I'll let ya know what I think. LOL. Good score.-Nate

  • looks like a power maker
