Some motoring Clubs have seen the light,though. They realise that when more people cycle, there will be more space for cars left on the road, irrespective of whether people cycle on the streets or on segregated networks. If cyclists operate their vehicles as such, and basically obey the rules of the road they will command the respect of drivers. Cycling training in the UK (search for Bikeability and / or cyclecraft), and elsewhere aims for this goal.

Yes car drivers dont want bikers on the street. Unluckily they would not be more happy to have those bike riders as car riders on the street either...
Everyone who has the possibility should get his ass away from his driving seat and take the bike instead. At least in the cities.
