These are voice actors, and this movie was made in 1967, while they were still together, during the Summer Of Love and released a year later.

The only thing that's the actual Beatles voices in this movie are the songs

Also, too many movies today have too much crap in them! This film was likely rated G, but the Disney remake could be PG!?! Convert the old "Yellow Submarine" to DVD and/or Blue Ray format!!!

I love how they referenced this movie in the "Beatles ROCK BAND" video game, where the look of the "Yellow Submarine" level is completely from this film, right down to the clothes the Beatles are wearing.

"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help from My Friends" also shows this influence, but not as much.

In the 1970s and early 1980s this was the only Beatles film you could commonly see on television. Both Help! and HDN were rarities. In fact I never saw Help! until 1980.

Yellow Submarine is accepted as Beatles canon quite contently by fans, with very few having grudging acknowledgment, even though the Beatles had little to do with it. Conversely, the Saturday morning cartoon Beatles, which was also created by King Features, still hovers on the fringe as minor nostalgic Beatlesalia.

Don't think too much into these things!

The song was released in 1966 and it didn't symbolize anything, sort of the Beatles take on a children's song, because Paul loved how they just 'accepted everything without question'.

As for the movie, the United Artists contract signed in 1963 meant the Beatles had to make THREE feature-length movies, and they saw this as a way of fulfilling contract obligations without too much effort.

Love the movie, by the way.
