I'd say their is an argument to be made on both sides. Kelly should have let the co-host, co-host the show and Clay should not have raised his hand to her face. However, it's a 90-10 argument. It's incredibly rude to raise your hands to someone's face, especially when you've never met the person.

I like Kelly but Clay was a co-host. That's what the CO in co-host means. She wouldn't let hiim talk and he tried, several times to say something, and she just kept on talking without giving HIM the courtesy to act as a CO-HOST. Had she not said anything at all, everyone would have laughed it off and no one would have had another thought about it. She's a comedian and could have 'worked it' to her benefit. Clay meant no disrespect at all. She was wrong in embarrassing him in front of the world.

Not that it matters (or you're going to have an answer for me) but when did Clay preach against gays? That's not true at all. He's always been friends with gay people. He defended them in his book. Quite a few people who have worked for him over the years have been openly gay. Etc.

I think he was trying to be funny, but it did come out rude. she gave him plenty of pauses to ask a question... and I think that's a common retort if someone puts their hand over your mouth, which is kinda intimate, even before swine flu fears. Cause I have coworkers and friends that I would kiss or hug hello, but never do that. And I usually agree with Rosie, but she would have laughed if that was said on Will & Grace.

I think her Kelly's popularity got into her. I watched most of her clippings and I find her to be much of a talker. A good hostess is somebody who can also bring out the best in her co-host, and it apparently did not happen that way and even put his co-host out of place.
