GAHHH!!!!! I remember seeing Michael J Pollack in a restaurant talking on a PHONE at his table around '86. The phone was roughly the size of a shoebox and had a battery that was as big as a small car.

Yes its the HOOD, anything off Gulfton is hood-rat!@#$ Beautiful Southwest Houston!! LOL, I bet some of that furniture is still in use there!!! I guess thats why Sharpstown is such a thriving area, not!
14 as far back as I can remember has always been TBN or or some religious genre, they wouldnt have commercials, I remeber seeing it first appear in the mid 80's, but I am only 31 yrs old, I could be wrong.
Oh yeah, Mike Pollack built all those apartments back in the late 70's/early 80's. I noticed he said that apartment complex was on Gulfton, so I'm pretty sure it's REAL hood over there now.
Wow i bet this place is a crackhouse now.

It's not "tha hood".
It's still a great place to live, good location, good and well-kept property, and a great deal.

My sister and I used to laugh at these commercials when they came on Channels 26 and 39 back in the day.
sanjac1836 3 years ago
Did they also aired on channels 51 and 14?
greyfox669 3 years ago
I don't think those channels were around back then. If they were there wasn't much on them.
sanjac1836 3 years ago
Really, I thought 14 was an old channel.

Michael Pollack must be visiting. No other reason to give our comments a thumbs down.
