Isao Abe did this theme, and there's a reason why it sounds so good.

Abe arranged Metro City Slums alongside Masaki Izutani (aka T Yomage) before for the album "Street Fighter II -G.S.M. Capcom 4-." On that album is a track called "Lose in Twilight (Final Fight Arrange Version)," and despite the name it's just the Slums theme.

So not only did he have a personal reason to handle Guy (like he did for Sagat), he also had prior experience with the theme (again, like Sagat).

@kalai131 Source for that? Ryu is asexual he never gets with any women at ALL during the course of the canon games or comics. The only time you see him flirting with women is Street Fighter Victory, which is a non canon anime as it changes too much. Sakura actually quits Street Fighting altogether and settles down. You see her with her son in Marvel vs Capcom in the ending which says that her fighting was "a long time ago". Sakura isn't "In Love" with Ryu, she's a fangirl of his.

You're wrong there. There is one woman who had feelings for Ryu, but he didn't understand her feelings for a long time. That was Little Miss, Gouken's long forgotten daughter. Ryu finally did understand her feelings as he got ready for his travels, but decided the journey he was about to take was the path for him. Other than that, though, you're correct.

Ok, why are people bitching about the version of Guy's theme on SSFIV butchering the essence his original theme? Jesus. People are going to like it regardless of what you think. EIYA! Guy is sick in SSFIV - the Bushin Izuna Drop (air grab) is nuts. Properly timed and spaced, an EX Bushin Izuna Otoshi will grab SRK - type moves - even Ryu's Ultra 2 o_o

I remember when I first played Alpha 2 on SNES (yeah laugh it up), I kicked so much ass with Guy. Perfects and super finishes through the roof, but I had the black costume so I couldn't fight Akuma, since one of the requirements in that version is to wear the default color. I'll never forget that pwnage though.
