But yes, i think because the instant return is so much better than having a structure that will take 2 minutes to fly back, or because theres the odd chance that a queen sets it on fire, then its again, just wasted minerals. Depends on your style though, you could probably pop a few marines and bunker his ramp?

Dimagas mistake losing this game... He was up in bases, but he was NOT up in gas. So in terms of the valueable units, the gas units, it was 2 base vs 2 base. And thats not a contest at all.

This terran mech strat, I'm not sure I'm a fan. it seems like everything has to go perfectly in the early game or you get fucked. Also, mech units are slow and work best in a giant ball thu ares super vulnerable to the muta/baneling. I wonder what goody's w/l ratio is with this strat

terran has the most immobile army which makes it dificult to leave the base and attack, so terrans HAVE to rely on stealth harass to apply any pressure. MM doesn't work well anymore against decent players on ANY race and mech play is so immobile it might even be static. its incredibly hard to defend a 3rd or higher base too

Goody was dictating how Dimaga would play. He was controlling him by doing that. Even if Dimaga wasn't going for that early of a hatchery, Goody was making sure that he wouldn't so that his build would be more effective.

That was his scouting scv and it didn't cost very much money.

That was a very impressive timing push. Goody spotted the fact that Dimaga had not built enough mutas to hold of a big thor/tank push, and made an attack before the banelings, speedlings, or mutas could come out in enough numbers to really threaten his force.

Combine that with some mistakes on Dimaga's part (fighting a Terran mech push in a choke, balling up his mutas, holding his forward roaches for too long) and you have a devastating terran push. Well played.

Zergling vs Thors are very cost effective on the zerg part.

Zergling Vs thors, siege tanks, and blue flame hellions are like throwing a pebble at a tank.

HD also said when there were only thors remaining, that it would be a good idea to pump some zerglings out.

2 of dimagas bases had even kicked in yet by the time the terran pushed. The game was almost 2 base vs 2 base the entire time then minus the cost for all the hatcheries from the zerg player, plus the zerg player should be one running base up.
