That's the beauty of Japanese wrestling. You don't see things like wrestlers using each other's moves as an insult like in the Muta/Mitsuharu exchange. It's not all highspots nor is it punch, punch, kick. Instead of cheesy-ass skits(WWE), or ridiculous over done gimmick matches (TNA), why not put on great matches?
i've heard Muta actually had a match with Kazushi Sakuraba during the UWFi/New Japan invasion angle. does anyknow know if this is true and where i might fiind that video?
If WWE can put Antonio Inoki in the HOF, I don't see why they cannot induct Keiji Mutoh. This guy is just awesome. He has been so inspirational to future young wrestlers as well as current WWE superstar such as CM Punk. Mutoh also created and make famous the Shining Wizard. HE SHOULD BE WWE HOF.
@ABTROGDOR Yes but Inoki was also involved with the WWWF back in the 1970s. I do believe Vince Sr. was the one to promote Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki, I think it was at Madison Square Garden. Although sometimes ignored, he did win the WWWF Title very briefly. So he had more ground to being in the WWE's HOF than Muta. Although, Nick Bockwinkel, that's a better comparison haha
@Pcfan11 I'm not a puro mark I'm just a fan of great wrestling and great wrestlers and Mutoh is a great example of both. Cena, Triple H, and all the rest of the top guys at WWE could learn alot from a legend like him just like U WWE fans
@Pcfan11 a legacy of shitty maches bad melodrama acting and sucking vince mcmahon's ass? saying that they suck to build a legacy is like saying a goddamn midget is short cause he's afraid of heights. they don't have a choice. They don't have Mutoh's talent but U and they should watch, appreciate, respect, and learn from everything he represents and has achieved.(without WWE by the way)
@Pcfan11 That makes no sense. He's saying it because WWE has strayed far from what wrestling is and what it can do- the power to move people. Mutoh is an example of the power of movement and not holding back. WWE has become so contrived in the last 10 years. Its sad. And it's got nothing to do with Mutoh being Japanese.
this guy is scarrier than the boogeyman, far more intimidating that the undertaker and much more deviant than ric flair, and to be honest, those aren't bad things !
Wardrobe?....try just one of those obscure ass masks. LOL. I've come to a conclusion, now when I try to wake someone up and they dont, I'm just gonna give em a flashing elbow.
Can't agree more! The only guy that comes close to Muta's wardrobe in terms of how much he spent and all of the gear he had over time was Savage -- at least off the top of my head.
One of the best in the world

Is he really magic?? I mean, where does he get the mist?? How does he do the flashing elbow?? ITs unnatural!!! Nobody can do that!
HollywoodKendrick 1 year ago
It's atheltic ability for the spinny elbow he does, and it's him patiently holding the mist in his mouth until he needs to spit it.

nope! wrong about the mist.

Muta does it all to the limit. The cost of that wardrobe alone - for one match - would set most of us back at least a couple paychecks.
