nowadays there are a lot of immigrants in the country. they drive carelessly as if they are in there own country. they should be made to take a test when they are in the uk as some countries drive on they left hand side reversly to here in the uk.

I agree.. A drivers license you only be valid in the country that issued it. It may be an annoyance to take a driving test every where you go but it would insure that folks adhered to the local laws. I saw an episode of "Cops" once where a Mexican immigrant was pulled over for running a red light he said " I swear officer, the light was BLUE!!" lol I know he meant green but its still hilarious.

Dude, that's just ridiculous. An idea like limiting the validity of driving licenses to the country they were issued in would cause trade to grind to a halt. How many things do you think are driven across the US/Canada border everyday? The traffic laws and traffic lights are basically identical so that would hurt both economies significantly. What about tourism? How bad would winter tourism be hurt if Arizona and Florida lost all their oldies that come from other countries for a warmer winter?

Every country has different standards though.. That's like saying.. "well, he's a licensed Brain Surgeon in Uzbekistan.." Would you want the guy hacking on you or your mom? I was talking more about Europe BTW.. BUT I lived in FL most of my life and I wouldn't miss "snow birds" one bit. I have first hand experience with their driving "skillz".. but its probably more to do with them being old vs being Canadian :)

Ever wondered how they filmed the car coming so close to the kids without actually hitting them? Dead easy! They just filmed the car reversing AWAY from the kids, then ran the film backwards! (Seriously)
