@81Natas we train with positive reinforcement. for example with the handshake we started by holding her paw with our hand and giving her a treat signifying that she did a good thing and we would also talk with excitement to her too like "good girl"!

It takes a ton of patience and consistency to train these dogs! Mine, Bear, is doing great (sit, down, play dead, dance and roll over). They're smart, sometimes TOO smart.
my peke is 9 months old and VERY stubborn!! She wont do anything cool like this. She just sits and stands on her hind legs.....i love her sooo much regardless

My dog actually learned the sitting and beging with his hands alome. When ever i whent outside , he seemes to do it all the time.

it seems that a lot of pekingese seem to know/learn the "sitting pretty" trick~ My dog learned it very easily.
