OK, I had a 99 crown vic interceptor, ( made in canada ) and im asking cuz does your vic have a radiator with a cap on it or do u have to remove the pipe attachted to the rad to poor liquid directly into the rad, the reason im asking is cuz i had a small hole in my rad from corosion and i had to leav it on the side of the highway because i couldent repair the leak and i couldent poor liquid seal into the rad to nurse it home, so are the american vics built slighlty diff from canadian crown vics?
@VANCOUVERRx i think the crown vics are only made in canada.. the town car was once made in the us but they swicthed them over to the crown vic plant.
that's is a very nice HPP! just be a little wary of the plastic intake manifold on your engine. Its only a matter of time before it cracks and coolant leaks everywhere, just a word of caution, its a common prob with the 4.6 from 96 to 02.
Super voiture ! I'm french (I'm 14 years old), and I love american's cars like this ! How much did you pay this ? :) My parent's have a Peugeot 407, I think it's quite the same category wright ?
@padfrance salut. I think it's not the same category. So as you heard it's a 4.6 engine, and I don't think you'll find one of these in our "typical" european cars. Take the 508 GT, it has 2l. Or S4 w/ 3l. But indeed the Vic is a nice car and for some reason I'd love to cruse a nice US car like this one here in germany. Nothing against the german cars, but there are too many of them they don't have that style I like. Anyways.
Have you ever rode in a true P71 Vic and, yes it is true dual exhaust !...Enjoy it until California tells you to crush it ...Nice car, enjoy the ride while you can!
This is one car they need to keep and never change. Newer cars are ugly and they aren't looking like cars any more. And who needs a push button start ? Whats so wrong with a key start? I love technology but we are using to much where we don't need to use it. The Crown Victoria is a classic and they should never change it.
I know what you mean. I just purchased a mint 2003 CVLX with low miles and just as beautiful inside/out, front to back as the day it was built. I know what you mean about tying up traffic. Just this morning while cruising into town I spotted a Mustang that just turned out onto the roadway coming my direction getting ready to burn serious rubber when suddenly I noticed his front end fall down (hard brake). I laughed all the way into town. I love my Crown Vic and it will be the only car I own.
This is a mint car. I've had three vics, two LX's, one base, all nice cars regarless, but I have still yet to find an LX with duals and those wide rims. hang onto er.
you dont drive it all that often? man come on its a cruiser made for burning up the highways, drive it and enjoy it!, btw: what do you drive when your not in your vic?
@GTFORDMAN, Hey thanks for the comment and watching my videos. And yes i DO enjoy each time i drive it!!!! And to see what else i Roll in......PLZ check out some of my other videos. -BOGAR!
Hi Bogar. As you may remember I sold my Police Interceptor to my friend who promised - if he sells it - he will sell it back to me. He painted the white top black and put back the Side spotlights (I wished he had not done that). So far it has been vandalized 3 times. Anyway, do you still have your crown vic?? Just Checkin'. Man you sure do have some very nice vehicles - even the trucks I like. Anyway, just checking. Thanks. Sincerely,d JAMES.
@buzzclark, YES i still have it. And it still has under 60,000 miles. And thanks for the compliments James. Love your comments and taking the time to watch my corny videos, LOL. Have a Good One,-BOGAR!
since yours only has 53,000 miles on it, it sould last of over 130,000 miles or more my dads has 187,000 origanil everything still runs and shifts great. also his was used as a cop car and all of the cop cars speedos after like 95 or 96 went up to 140
Mmm buying a crown vic 99 tomorrow..clean, but dusty..high miles but they can go on forever.. If not there are lots of available engines to scrape up with low miles on it :D
Its beautiful I wanna buy one just like that but yeh here in Belgium its nowhere to be found i'll have to buy it from ebay and there many there that are used too much and had a hard time.
Hello j45007 I just subed. Is your Crown Victoria for sale?? I live in San Francisco and I also own some property on Mark West Springs Road but I have not been up there much. Anyway, I did own a 2003 highway patrol car which I sold and now I regret it. Anyway, I was just wondering if you were offering it up for sale if not now then perhaps in the future. Very Sincerely, JAMES.
Hello James, You can call me BOGAR, no problem. My Crown is not for sale right now but i might in the future. I was just all over San Francisco yesterday, driving a bus though. Thanks alot for subscribing i really do appreciate that. -BOGAR!
@FOXMULDER112 Yea!! Don't get me started! Man, F-150s and Crown Victoria (and family) and FORD Explorers even EXPEDITIONs, Man Those vehicles are the best of the best!! "The Best Never Rest" "Built Ford Tough!" FORD, BUY FORD!
hahahaha...i'e the same problem with my 1994 stock SC cougar, besides people do not like that car, always they thnk that the car is slower than theirs...and it runs faster than the chrysler crossfire...but dude, your car's very well taken care of
i have a 95 chevy caprice lt1 and a 2005 ford crown vic. both state police cars an to tell u the truth they both do the same damn thing, but different.. the chevy has a OD trans an the crown vic has a button to work the trans..but there is a trick with the crown vic's and that OD button...177mph...
for some reason i like that car even though its slow for a v8. nice interior i would buy one for fun if i get a good price. i heard its a mad loud car when removing the exhausts lol
That's not the "Police Interceptor." It's an LX with the sticker slapped on that plastic cover. First off, the speedometer on the Police Interceptor goes to 140mph and show me a cop car that has an interior like that, maybe then I'd think differently.
Hello "Luedtke1324"! You are coming in late in the arguement, but please refer to the comments below within the last few months and you will find your answers there. But in short it is a P-71 vin code. If i wanted a full blown "intercepteor" then i would go out and buy 10 of them, but i dont want one. Thanks for viewing. -BOGAR!
Yea, obviously you wouldn't be the one to go for speed or horse power. A true interceptor is one hell of a bad ass car and would blow the doors off that thing. I don't care what the vin says, there's nothing special about this car. Might as well get yourself a Grand Marquis or some other old person's car because there's no difference.
i just test drove the one i am buying next week and dam that thing drives so smooth and it has a lot of power. i am glad i am going to buy it and i am only paying $2500 for it
Hello"Duseldorf1103"! Thanks for viewing. The car is slightly used now, still under 60,000 miles. But i bought this car new at the ford dealership. This is a toy for me, i like it. Thanks for the comment, -BOGAR!
They do put true dual exhaust on LX models. I have a 96 Lincoln town car with true dual stock exhaust. I have no desire to put flowmasters on it, it has got plenty of power to get onto the interstate without hassle. plus i would never do that to a luxury car.
I love your Crown VIc!!! Very nice. I drive an 06 cvpi. Do people in front of you slow down or drive right at the speed limit of not under the speed limit when u are behind them? Anyway, great car & awesome interior.
Hello"gman14618"! Yes people do sit up and slow down when they see this car. Its annoting when i am trying to get from point a to b. But i only drive this car like 2 or 3 times a month. Thanks for viewing. -BOGAR!
Cool! My grandpa likes the grand marquis. He's on his 3rd and they are great cars. He kept his 1999 model the longest, just traded it off for a new 08 last year.... great cars with astrong and smooth 4.6L engines.
Its a handling and perf pack, and Heads up did the previous owner replace the plastic inake? because mine blew @ 95,000 and thats when they usually fail.
I just picked up a 2007 Grand marquis. The acceleration is about the same as my 92 crown vic, although the new car has 224hp v/s 190, I think the power to weight ratio is about the same, and the pre 1998 Panthers are lighter 3800lbs vs 4200.
owh haha, i cant wait to live in usa, i live in holland right now. My uncle lives in america too > iowa i love everthing almost in usa, i drove is car to a year ago > gmc sierra 4x4 and shoot with is ak47, m16 and stuff! have fun with ya ride!
I don't think this car is a police interceptor. I am pretty sure it is an LX Sport. The police cars don't have airbag suspensions. They just have heavier shocks and springs than the civilian ones. Also a lot of police interceptors have a different radio.I don't even think they have cassette players. Some have vinyl in the back but not leather. If it is used for normal driving an LX Sport is better anyways because it rides smoother.I'm not trying to be a jerk but I think I am right.BTW nice car x2.
Hello"tacticoolGM"! I know you are not trying to be a jerk. However, please refer to the reply i gave "Audigy24bit" and you will get a better understanding. And you are correct this does have the comfort level of a LX, although it is not and it does have that nice airide suspension. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my video. -BOGAR!
I might just get one of those, if my 84 parisienne should go. They are going cheap where I am. I am canadian and they are going as low as $2300 CAD. That is a great price for ex cop cars. I will also rate you 5*
I just saw your last video on your exaust, sounds great! What engine does your parisienne have? Its the 305 isn't it? And thanks for the rating! -BOGAR!
Hello, "orckiller91". 17/24 is the gas mileage. The most i have ever gotten is 26 on the highway....if i do the speed limit! Thanks for viewing. LaTeRz, -BOGAR!
Well its not bad in the snow, but not the best for sure. I would not hesitate to by one just because i live where it is snow prone. Alot of these crowns including mine have traction control, and posi-traction. Both of those help alot, plus it has the advantage of being a heavy car, so there is a decent amount of weight pressing down on those rear tires. All that combined make it so its not the worst in snow, i can say that much! Thanks for viewing, -BOGAR!
I have a 2000 CVPI, and live in michigan. It has a limited slip rear end which at times makes it it great in dry powdery snow, but on ice its terrible. It does pretty good for a rwd car in the winter as long as your carefull to not to spin the tires, once they spin on a corner your screwed. I would imagine with normal differential the car would be excellent in the winter. Ive always had rwd cars, my plymouth granfury was the best winter driving car ive ever had, and i grew up near marquette
Hey,"jeepoffroad12345"! My crown gets 17-mpg around town and 24-mpg over the highway. Thanks for the subscription, and your welcome to comment anytime! -BOGAR!
Hello "s172mch" if you are referring to how did i get a crown victoria, well......i simply bought one! LOL. It is not a rare car or hard to find car. It has low miles and in great shape, because i have had it since new.
Shoot man! ur 8 year old crown vic here is in way better shape than my car will ever be. Not to mention that thing has like barely anything worth miles on it for a 2000. 53K and some change is nothing for a 2000 in terms of mileage. My 2005 nissan murano already has over 56,000+ and it barely just turned 3 years old...keep taking care of ur cars man. Thats what I like to see. :)
Hello again "matts6887". Yeah i take care of all my cars, although i dont pamper my buick and it is my daily driver. But my crown and my cadillac and my honda rarely ever see the road! And my cadillac has not seeing rain! And my crown vic still has 53,000 miles on it since making this video. Thanks for the encouraging comments and for your viewing of my videos, it is appreciated, -BOGAR!
Damn, if i had the money i would buy one of these, your lucky to have these different cars to drive around in. cool car, like your others and your buses!
well thanks for the message back , i dont mean to rattle anyones cage but i noticed the speedo only going to 140 granted i'm not about to get in an arguemtn about a car i've never seen or with someone i've never met , but form teh video its appears to be a cvlx but you have notified me that it isnt. all in all its one very nice car. )
yea this is a civilian model...probably the LX. all CVPIs have the trunk opener button on the dash and this doesn't have it. it's still nice but just not a p71.
Actually, not all P.I.'s have all the markers and identifiers of a P.I. car. Some police departments special order the cars that way for undercover use. Things like the police interceptor badge on the rear, trunk release, VIN I.D. and even the 140 MPH speedometer are eliminated to give the appearance of a civilian car while still retaining the power and handling of the real deal. I'm kin to two cops so this is legit info. Smart criminals can easily I.D. a cop car if they know what to look for.
thanks for posting this video about this car. i am a big ford fan. currently im driveing a 96 crown vic fully loaded and its just like your interior just with out the leather. you have very nice cars and i will stay tuned.
here's the deal dude that is a crown victoria LX model
they come with dual exhaust and who ever told you it was a police car was wrong and sold you a fake. period the police interceptor has a external oil cooler , trans cooler , power steering cooler. and a 140 mph sppedo and the interior are as basic as they come. this is a cvlx which is still a good car but don't tell people it has a police pkg. it doesnt. it has a 3.27 gear in the back if it has HPP the PI true pi has 3.55
Well you are partially correct...no doubt! But the vin# says "P71" and the options list that came with the car says it has a 3.55 gear ratio in that differential. And i never said " somebody told me it was a police car" as you metion, i actually said the opposite. I know for a fact the car was never in police service and GOOD that it was not, hence the near new condition it is in!
Why it has a MIX of crown victoria LX model features and interceptor features....I do not know and i dont really care! What I DO KNOW is that that crown victoria is mine and i enjoy the car and i like taking it out for a spin once in a while...and thats what counts. Thanks for viewing and commenting, -BOGAR!

Hello"locoguy2427"! Thanks for noticing. Even now 7 months later, its still under 60,000 miles.

Awesome car, for a used 2000 model you can't beat it at all!
Great Car again man!
Duseldorf1103 2 years ago
Hello"Duseldorf1103"! Thanks for viewing. The car is slightly used now, still under 60,000 miles. But i bought this car new at the ford dealership. This is a toy for me, i like it. Thanks for the comment, -BOGAR!

They do put true dual exhaust on LX models. I have a 96 Lincoln town car with true dual stock exhaust. I have no desire to put flowmasters on it, it has got plenty of power to get onto the interstate without hassle. plus i would never do that to a luxury car.
gajda1984 2 years ago
I love your Crown VIc!!! Very nice. I drive an 06 cvpi. Do people in front of you slow down or drive right at the speed limit of not under the speed limit when u are behind them? Anyway, great car & awesome interior.
gman14618 2 years ago
Hello"gman14618"! Yes people do sit up and slow down when they see this car. Its annoting when i am trying to get from point a to b. But i only drive this car like 2 or 3 times a month. Thanks for viewing. -BOGAR!

You filmed this in texas?

1995bisquick 2 years ago
Hello "1995bisquick"! I am the original owner! I bought it straight fromm the Local Ford Dealership.
j45007 2 years ago
I just picked up a 2007 Grand marquis. The acceleration is about the same as my 92 crown vic, although the new car has 224hp v/s 190, I think the power to weight ratio is about the same, and the pre 1998 Panthers are lighter 3800lbs vs 4200.
1995bisquick 2 years ago
One reason i dont drive it much is because people always want to do the SPEED LIMIT when i am behind them......
because they're tinking that you're a cop, but nice ride man! (sorry for my bad english i'm from europe)

Wow that car is Amazing. I would love to have a true police Interceptor but I would take yours anytime! Very nice!
PoconoPits2008 3 years ago
I don't think this car is a police interceptor. I am pretty sure it is an LX Sport. The police cars don't have airbag suspensions. They just have heavier shocks and springs than the civilian ones. Also a lot of police interceptors have a different radio.I don't even think they have cassette players. Some have vinyl in the back but not leather. If it is used for normal driving an LX Sport is better anyways because it rides smoother.I'm not trying to be a jerk but I think I am right.BTW nice car x2.
tacticoolGM 3 years ago
Hello"tacticoolGM"! I know you are not trying to be a jerk. However, please refer to the reply i gave "Audigy24bit" and you will get a better understanding. And you are correct this does have the comfort level of a LX, although it is not and it does have that nice airide suspension. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my video. -BOGAR!

I might just get one of those, if my 84 parisienne should go. They are going cheap where I am. I am canadian and they are going as low as $2300 CAD. That is a great price for ex cop cars. I will also rate you 5*
yawyd 3 years ago
I just saw your last video on your exaust, sounds great! What engine does your parisienne have? Its the 305 isn't it? And thanks for the rating! -BOGAR!
j45007 3 years ago
Thank you. It is 2 flowmaster Siries 40 Delta flows. It does have a 305. No problem.

so how are they on gas? my car just died and am looking at the crown vicks
orckiller91 3 years ago
Hello, "orckiller91". 17/24 is the gas mileage. The most i have ever gotten is 26 on the highway....if i do the speed limit! Thanks for viewing. LaTeRz, -BOGAR!
j45007 3 years ago
how is it in the snow? i would get one but i live in Michigan, so the RWD wouldn't work out too well...
trickpat777 3 years ago
Well its not bad in the snow, but not the best for sure. I would not hesitate to by one just because i live where it is snow prone. Alot of these crowns including mine have traction control, and posi-traction. Both of those help alot, plus it has the advantage of being a heavy car, so there is a decent amount of weight pressing down on those rear tires. All that combined make it so its not the worst in snow, i can say that much! Thanks for viewing, -BOGAR!
j45007 3 years ago
I have a 2000 CVPI, and live in michigan. It has a limited slip rear end which at times makes it it great in dry powdery snow, but on ice its terrible. It does pretty good for a rwd car in the winter as long as your carefull to not to spin the tires, once they spin on a corner your screwed. I would imagine with normal differential the car would be excellent in the winter. Ive always had rwd cars, my plymouth granfury was the best winter driving car ive ever had, and i grew up near marquette

how does it get 4 gas

geterdonein01 3 years ago 3
howd u get ur hands on one?
s172mch 3 years ago
Hello "s172mch" if you are referring to how did i get a crown victoria, well......i simply bought one! LOL. It is not a rare car or hard to find car. It has low miles and in great shape, because i have had it since new.
j45007 3 years ago
Shoot man! ur 8 year old crown vic here is in way better shape than my car will ever be. :)
matts6887 3 years ago 2
Hello again "matts6887". Yeah i take care of all my cars, although i dont pamper my buick and it is my daily driver. But my crown and my cadillac and my honda rarely ever see the road! And my cadillac has not seeing rain! And my crown vic still has 53,000 miles on it since making this video. Thanks for the encouraging comments and for your viewing of my videos, it is appreciated, -BOGAR!

well thanks for the message back , i dont mean to rattle anyones cage but i noticed the speedo only going to 140 granted i'm not about to get in an arguemtn about a car i've never seen or with someone i've never met , but form teh video its appears to be a cvlx but you have notified me that it isnt. all in all its one very nice car. )
Audigy24bit 3 years ago
yea this is a civilian model...probably the LX. all CVPIs have the trunk opener button on the dash and this doesn't have it. it's still nice but just not a p71.
bajanbaw 3 years ago
Actually, not all P.I.'s have all the markers and identifiers of a P.I. car. Some police departments special order the cars that way for undercover use. Things like the police interceptor badge on the rear, trunk release, VIN I.D. and even the 140 MPH speedometer are eliminated to give the appearance of a civilian car while still retaining the power and handling of the real deal. I'm kin to two cops so this is legit info. Smart criminals can easily I.D. a cop car if they know what to look for.
BigChief427 3 years ago
o ok. you make sense.

actuly, they are Canadian built cars...hehe...gotta love em'..ive owend a few

strumem90 3 years ago
Hey Bogar, look at your vin #, P71 in the vin means it is a true interceptor, not the fact that it never was one, looks like an LX Model to me.

nick8638 3 years ago 3
here's the deal dude that is a crown victoria LX model
they come with dual exhaust and who ever told you it was a police car was wrong and sold you a fake. period the police interceptor has a external oil cooler , trans cooler , power steering cooler. and a 140 mph sppedo and the interior are as basic as they come. this is a cvlx which is still a good car but don't tell people it has a police pkg. it doesnt. it has a 3.27 gear in the back if it has HPP the PI true pi has 3.55
Audigy24bit 3 years ago
Well you are partially correct...no doubt! But the vin# says "P71" and the options list that came with the car says it has a 3.55 gear ratio in that differential. And i never said " somebody told me it was a police car" as you metion, i actually said the opposite. I know for a fact the car was never in police service and GOOD that it was not, hence the near new condition it is in!
j45007 3 years ago
Why it has a MIX of crown victoria LX model features and interceptor features....I do not know and i dont really care! What I DO KNOW is that that crown victoria is mine and i enjoy the car and i like taking it out for a spin once in a while...and thats what counts. Thanks for viewing and commenting, -BOGAR!
