it seems like you'd have died at 2:17 in the 3ds version (downloadable version, not cave story 3d) b/c you hit the treads/wheels.

Thanks for helping me kill Monster X, couldn't have done it without seeing your strategy.

Core, on the other hand...even imitating you, I can't seem to react fast enough when the Blade's AoE misses a few projectiles and I need to dodge it. I had to cheap out and use the weapon-switching strategy to beat him. You're amazing at this game.

Thanks for the video, it helped me kill Monster X on hard. Upgrading Blade to level 3 definitely helped, since the aoe was massively useful for destroying projectiles. The Core is proving to be very tough, though.

Holy COW! I've been trying to defeat the core for hours in Hard Mode with minimal items, but it's a nightmare. One hit and you're dead! How the hell do you do it?

@Moonlight1337pk But he IS on hard mode. And minimal items means getting as few weapons as possible. You can tell that he is on hard because the character's color has changed. In hard mode, you can't find health expansions. Also, I think it's impossible to NOT get health upgrades in the other modes.

@qwertyqeys min items means picking up nothing extra that you are not forced to get, and if you do min item runs on the pc version there is no "hard mode"^^ thats why I asked :P
