  • JustePlane in French ! Is my dream !

  • Great footage, great airline, great crew!.

  • Love that sound of the ground spoilers arming when the plane touches down... :)

  • sucks that Oasis is no longer in service.

  • Flashing the lights at each other....how cool is that?

  • question!

how did you videotape while you flew over the jumbo??? On top of it!

  • great video. 0:47 first officer Sean Connery

  • 8:15 the magics of aviation...

  • why 4 pilots. and what does heavy crew mean?

my logic. since its ultra long haul i think the first 2 pilots rest after 8-9 hours.

  • wow man, wicked sick video! glad I found your channel and that link to world air routes, I think my pockets are going to be cleaned out tonight!

  • truck driver greeting made me smile...

  • Just out of interest, what is meant by a "Heavy Crew"

  • Meaning that the crew in the flightdeck exits of more then 2 crewmembers. This is used by several airlines during overnight long-haul operations

  • @MADTASS They had a crew of 4 instead of the usual 2 on the 747-400

  • @MADTASS I'm pretty sure they mean a crew to take over for the main crew while on trans-oceanic flights

  • gr8 vid m8

  • thats fantastic thay flash there lights at each other

  • its the wind. 10kts down the runway

  • Hi I got the DVD and try to pull out as much information as I can....one thing I can't place yet:

What does it mean, when the Captain says: "10kts down the runyway"?

    Anyone knows that?

  • 10knots at 320 means the wind is blowing at a 10knot speed at a heading of 320 deg. critical information so that the pilot/s can compinsate but 10knots wont make a difference to a 747,

  • @cubes887

I always see pilots taking off with no regards to the wind conditions. May why is that so?

  • The Aviation industry seem to go through one crisis after another unfortunately. 9/11, SARS, high oil prices, banking crisis etc.

  • I've been on the plane . But my uncle got served Cold food and the seats where really squished together.. but i still find the crew really friendly

  • rip=[

  • Your wrong.

The plane used to belong to Singapore Airlines. Look at the seat colors in Economy.

  • What a friendly airline

I cannot see this from those ''major'' airlines.....

Too sad Oasis cannot go through this hardship...

  • That's interesting yaw dampers

  • 2 captains + 2 senior first officers.. why so many experienced people?

  • 2 sfo's are relief pilots, as is required on long haul flights

  • Computer's is doing all the funny things now :(

  • Wait Wait Wait...., was there conversations with a Concorde on the radio ? I am sure i heard 'Speedbird' callsigns at around 5 minutes.

  • speedbird is any ba flight, not just concorde

  • Callsigns for the Concorde would be "Speedbird Concorde 514" or whatever their numbers would be at the time.

  • Speedbird is british airways normal callname. It's not only used for concorde. I think actually that when this video was recorded the concorde wasn't flying anymore for BA. Also BA didn't use the concorde on that route I believe.

  • Yes, they did. As I am right twice or three times a week, BA had a concorde on route to Hong Kong.. There are some movies here on youtube with concorde landings/take-offs on good old Kai Tak HKG Airport...

  • Hong Kong KaiTak is well out of the range of Concorde, it's been there a few times, for press stops, and charter flights of a few unique people.

  • Just found your website yesterday, I love this. I am looking forward to purchasing a few of these DVD's.

  • nice

  • 7:05 is the best

  • what's that at 7:05

  • a plane!

  • this is a ILS landing ?

  • Looks like an awesome airline to work on. That vid was just too sweet

  • Gotta love that touch and go.

  • it wasn't a touch and go!

  • It was a bad landing, that is what it was, look at the amount of tyre smoke, and wing flex, he also drifted of the centre line.

  • Thanks for a wonderful video.

Air Asia X is supposed to start services in March 2009, flying into London Stanstead from Kuala Lumpur. Virgin has invested in the airline so I read.

Another long haul cheap fare airline coming our way.

  • very nice video , thanks for the training.i have a question though.can anyone tell me please what are this small four bars colored white on the monitor which the 2 pilots are looking frequently shown at5;50 at the center.anybody , reply me please,THANKS

  • Engine parameters on the upper EICAS.

  • What for a great crew!! Never thought, that Oasis was so good... :) Great!

  • 4 engines 4 long haul - oil $140 4 barrel... there you go...out of business. I hope people keep flying.

  • I got this DVD, its Brill, teaches you the basics of the autopilot and goes into the FMC , Long Live OASIS

  • that is an awesome vid mate thanks for posting!

  • Its a shame they went bankrupt. All the planes are parked in a circle at HKG. When I go in the summer I'll hopefully see it.

  • i can't believe they've gone defunct.

  • mmmm tell me bout it, im BA staff unfortunatly i was coming back to heathrow a couple of days after they went under. BA offered them cheap seats to get home on our aircraft. which is fine but i nearly did not get on myself ,i ended up in a jump seat to get home. still i did not mind i ended up in the crew rest seats at the back with two young ladies, neadless to say i was prob better off there in the end ;)

  • R.I.P. OASIS - I actually just tow'd this last plane at YVR for Hong Kong, and then the next day we find out they went under, sad!

  • what do you mean, what happened to them?

  • they went bankrupt

  • Sadly, they grounded all planes due to bankrupcy on about 3 days ago...

  • Comment removed

  • yeh i heard this awhile ago nah they dont get refund and those who got to the airport and found out didnt either.

  • It always provide punctual service and fair service on flight with the low price..I would say their crews carry more smiles than those in Cathay Pacific even.

What a pity that it can't last for long..

The first budget airline with the name HK on the plane.

    It's sad..

  • such a shame they didnt quite plan it out correctly they were making a loss becoz of the low prices, their profits didnt cover the expenses.

  • Their FA are pretty and young.......... well...too bad the company failed to compete.

  • Unfortunately the company ceased operation today

    :(

  • Breaking News: Oasis Hong Kong Airline ceased operation as of today, 9th of April 2008, anyone who has booked flights on Oasis please IMMEDIATELY CONTACT OASIS HONG KONG.

  • OASIS HAS GONE...

I will take those FAs and leave the pilots ;p

  • looks like a hard landing...

  • nice video!

  • I'm an air traffic controller at Terminal Control at Swanwick and I immediately recognised the Gatwick controller ... he is on my watch :) ... he does Gatwick only and he's pretty good at football too ... lol, I must tell him tomorrow ... cool video

  • hehe weird... keep on thinking I hear a Kai tak tower controller when we dabble into manchester control occasionally :)

  • COOL!

  • It's quite a good airline. The aeroplanes are not the latest but the staff are wonderful and you get the impression that they really are interested in their jobs. I sue them often.

Remember, Virgin Atlantic started with one 2nd hand plane and Easyjet with two. I suspect Oasis will do quite well.

  • You probably mean you "use" them often :)

  • Oh - indeed I do mean 'use'. I don't suppose I can edit it now. The danger of typing and cooking at the same time.

Maybe they'll offer to settle out of court? :-)

  • @dougwhitef12 Out of business.

  • @dougwhitef12 So many of these airlines are out of business - these videos give you a feeling for all the fine people in aviation and you wonder if they are personally "down and locked" after all these business failure vicissitudes.

  • Used to think this airline is barebones (including compromise of aspects of safety) because it's so unbelievably cheap. But after recommendations from our family and friends who has used the service I decided to test it out. Now I have flown on this airline for three times now. I would continue to use it this coming summer - already booked the tickets.

  • Another Great video From Just Planes!

How about a Dvd From the Uk's Newest Airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield (EGCN) which opened late April 2005.

Keep all your Proffesssional Dvd's comming!

  • cool nice vide man!

  • Oasis looks quite good. From the impression i had, was that it's a sort of dudet airline. I take it back, lol. Quite good though from evidence of the video. Well done lads. Oh, i was actually born in Hong Kong, lived there for 12 years and moved back to england. Miss it very much.

  • that was fantastic , thanks very much for this video

  • i went on oasis hong kong. good airlane and the tickets were really cheap but now they aren't really.

  • this dvd is awesome, i got it for christmas.

  • I want to fly to hongkong ;_; ......

  • Very nice!

  • You have to get this DVD very good! I felt like I was in the plane!

  • very nice

  • Professionals!!

  • Very nice oasis presentation video for this B-747.

  • How old are these videos. Like what year were they made?

  • Oasis Hong Kong was filmed in 2007.

  • Thanks to Justplanes for enabling us to have a sneek preview of what you're about to buy. Good choice and I hope to see more previews here. (min 10min pls)
