  • You should probably have those effects for each deck, or at least on a send track so you can have more precise and creative effects. And a limiter on your master track, so you dont clip!

  • @snagglebabyyyy Great tip, thanks for sharing!

  • @WinkSound no problem, man!

  • Hi WINKsound,

Nice post, i've just got my setup sorted but i've got one question i want to set up bass and treble controls on my APC 40 in the track control area so i can do bass cuts and basic eq-ing on the fly can u post something up or just tell me how its assigned cheers.

  • so can you use just ableton live with a pioneer miser by itself? is it hard to dj with this setup? and is mapping with this hard

  • why do you sound like your speaking though a tube!?!

  • @foreverwii, no he was in the other room... thing is funny to make a video about audio when you can't be bothered recording your voice decently

  • question ...... i'm using live 6 and have a VERY basic template set up to a M Audio x session pro midi controller, i have a 2 channels with a 3 band EQ assigned to each, when mixing i like to watch the clip view at the bottom to keep an eye on the WAV of the track that is playing so that i can see the make up of the tune, breakdowns and drop points etc. My problem is this, for no reason whatsoever the clip view changes itself from the track view to the audio effect view of the 3 band EQ ! why ?

  • in fact your are mixing with your mouse i like it. :D

  • What about eq kills? i saw on another vid you can assign it to buttons. how do you handle it?

  • Exactly what I was looking for. I just started with Ableton Live Today and I'm already decinding this over Logic for mixing. Thanks bro!

  • @WiNKsound is it better to assign the filters to each channels ,or to the master, would that give a better control and less distractions ? nice post btw,thanks..

  • Hi @metaphesis

It depends on what your trying to achieve. If you assign filters to the Master channel your going to affect everything in the mix at once. If what your trying to do is add effects to certain elements then the way to go is to assign filters to just those tracks. Hope this helps.

  • @WiNKsound thanks bro..keep up the good work
