  • red flag # 3. My boss wouldn't tell me who our customers would be after we sold to our families.

Red flag # 4. One of the managers dressed provocatively and flirted with me.

  • Comment removed

  • When I went into training here's what I saw...

Red flag # 1. My boss obviously took EVERYONE who applied. He told me he only took 20 percent.

Red flag # 2. My boss got us all pumped up to do the job for no less than one hour before telling us anything about the job. What kind of employer has to sell you the job?

  • I agree with this video. I am a Sales Rep and I really enjoy it so far and the managers are awesome!

  • fuck vector

  • damnit, I just got hired here, should have read up on them first.....not to go about getting out.

  • Dear everyone,

Vector is a very honest company

    Sincerely,

    Primerica and OJ Simpson

  • Oh yeahhhhhh.....look at those Vector employees! They look so.................stupid.

  • I'm a sales rep for vector. I have over five years sales experience, most of it spent working for AT&T. I far prefer Vector. I suppose some regions may be shifty but mine isn't :P

  • The people giving the testimonies have probably been paid extra commission...

  • OMG like all of these kidz on here really been soakin up all da bs dat they have been told.... ugh vector disgustes me...

  • so.... is there anyone above the age of 30 working there?

  • Me too chincaboss. I am a FLS and love my team!!

  • seriously, cutco/vector marketing haters.suck my nonexistent dick.what the fuck are you doing with YOUR life. oh yeah, most of you talking shit are unemployed ;3 it's not just about knives, its about all the great skills and experience you gain and lifelong friendships with these great people. simply,if you don't wanna work hard, then obviously you're a lazy piece of shit and this job isn't for you.I sound bitter, i know but I'm tired of everyone bashing on this great corporation :p ilovemyjob(:

  • @chinchaboss FUCK VECTOR. hmmm....I'm talking shit about you BS corporation and I'm not unemployed. You are wrong about everything you stated. Vector is for you if you are unemployed, uneducated, a retard and a nerd.

  • What a bunch of fucking tools. Everything said on this video seems scripted and disingenuous.

  • armenianpr@i just went to interview last week and they hired me just after few minutes!but I think people work in Vector are pretty cool! All manegers are young and talanted. They always work with humor and give high-fives thats what i like!

  • @Qeenofsorrow Oh wow, high fives, thats deffinetly better than the $7,000 monthly paycheck I get. Fuckin tool.

  • Notice how no one actually talked about the sales experience.

  • Vector is a great company. I work there, and the people who think it is a scam are wrong.

  • No pain no gain smh. Anyways here in Florida you pay 147.34 for a sample kit, and you get a FULL REFUND when you return it. They give you a receipt signed saying this and everything. [if they dont sue! you got proof]. I personal think im going to succeed in this and learn some experience and if not hey i'll quit [parents pay for everything anyway] mmkay bye and stop saying its a scam you just didn't make no money so you mad! haha ;]

  • lmao you people are so sad. It kills me reading the ones who complain and cant sell shit right. Ok i'm going to start Vector tomorrow or shall i say start my appointments, i'm 20 years old [not in college until fall] and i must say im a pretty good decision maker. They target college students because what old fuck wants to sell knives? You college students are broke so why not do it?

  • this would be the perfect job for an illigal immagrint bc they dont even check shit ask you for shit or anything...that should be a red flag for anyone it was for me.

  • LMao!!!!! cant wait till nterview tomorrow hahahahha

  • i work for vector and I haven't given them a dime. so why the fuck is everyone saying that they take your money?? If you can't find a job this is something good for part time. better than sitting on your ass all summer. get up and do something and quit bitching.

  • @ftp695 didnt you pay for the starter kit?

  • @loveaneater i put in a check but they only cash it if u run away with the knives

  • @ftp695 he excatly right. starter kit cost 147 in Florida full refund who gives a fuck. these ppl complainin is ridiculous smh...

  • How many times have you been with someone and they said to you. "You know..I really need a set of knives? Well...maybe OJ Simpson

  • Why all white kids?

  • Who sells knives??? Are you serious?

  • it all a lie they will take your money

    YOU BEEN WARN

  • I went to my interview and got the job so what do I do know? I have to go to these 3 training sessions I was told they weren't paid but when I got the paper it says paid training.

  • @Kisswish1 Don't even go dude... it's not a sacem, but the job isn't really what they make you think it is.. kinda like a fraud in a way

  • @Kisswish1 OMG...see you in a week posting angry comments about your terrible Vector experience as well... why people? WHO SELLS KNIVES??? DOES THAT EVEN SOUND LEGITIMATE TO YOU??? lmao@that

  • no truthfully i dont think its a scam only very close. its like the lottery you know you chances aren't high to make anything that's a fact and you have to pay to make profit and the lottery company's know what there doing to you and make tons of money off it. but people still play because the lottery company's know where to target.

  • They sell knives....I found knives like the ones they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond for around $10

  • Nobody over the age of 30 tells you something. Not a real job, no real money.

  • lol i know that justin rapp guy im pretty sure his last name isn't rapp though but he's been working with vector for awhile this is most likely fake lol

  • I am really debating going to my interview tomorrow..... So people that are really bubbly, determined, talkative, and excited will generally do well. I am shy and quiet... That is the reason I might not go..

  • Don't drink the kool aid

  • paid my way through 6 years of college with Vector/Cutco. Went to 6 countries, and have made amazing friends in this company. I have 650 clients who all love their product. Oprah gives Cutco out now too. Amazing opportunity for young people

  • True true.

  • this is what i am seeing of this job, they give you an opportunity to have experiences for sales and stuff. its like fundraising for the company. i dont know, i suck at fundraising and am not really into sales, its not for everyone. i agree with that statement.

  • drink up the fruit punch you morons

  • cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult cult

  • all things depends on yourself !! if you wanna succeed you work hard !! if u wanna be low life forever ,u say whatener im going to flipping burguers !! even if dont stay in the company , you learn a lot and build values that you can use for the hole life !!! YOUR LIFE IS MADE OF CHOICES !!!!!!

  • My fiance is 23 and is still in college, CutCo has totally drained him. They call him at all times of the day, he never has time to be with me anymore, he doesn't go to school anymore because this job calls for all of his time. For someone still in school or engaged...DON"T WORK WITH THIS!

  • if you dont even know anything about the company you really shouldnt be talking, its CUTCO, not CutCo. and for all the other retards that talk crap, you guys are pussies who want to get paid 7 bucks an hour at McDonalds for sitting around and doing nothing. If you work hard with CUTCO you will be successful. And also if its a scam why do you think the company has 15 million plus happy customers you dumbasses.

  • Oh I know tons. He brought it home with him EVERYDAY. Luckily he quit...and people can have their own opinion you know, there is no need for name calling. Clearly all of you people with a bad mouth and have HORRIBLE debating skills need to not be able to leave comments if all you can do is swear and and call people names...

  • i have horrible debating skills? You don't even possess proper grammar skills, learn to write before sitting your fat ass in front of the computer and typing stupid shit up.

  • @Mermaids206 o shut the fuck up

  • Wow you're jealous because your fiance spends more time at work than with you. I can see why haha.

  • Thats okay. You dont even know me. I know the toll it takes on people who work there. I can tell you spend most of your time on youtube and bash all of the people with an opinion other than yours. Get a life.

  • @Mermaids206 get a real career like a doctor and save lives instead of scamming people

  • @sascha722 What the hell are you talking about? I am not scamming anyone! I hate CUTCO! I will never scam ANYONE! Even if my life depended on it! Know the whole story...

  • This ppl are so full of shit!!! Only a desperate fresh out high school kid will actually believe in them... Whyy is this shit legal???

This ppl are the ones actually makn some money, because they were paid to say nice things about this comp.

  • good question. Why is it legal??? Oh maybe because its legit moron. They have 326 office across the country and have been in business since 1981 doing 16 million dollars in sales annually. Why hasn't the government shut them down? Oh yeah we already said it their legit.

  • It's awesome.. just listen to what ppl had to say. They're not actors.. lol. I made 7k last summer

  • What is the truth about this crap? in other videos people said that VEctor is bad who should i believe?

  • its kind of a scam, its really different from other jobs. you have to pay for knives in order to start demos with other people. thats the heart of the scam

  • you have to put a security deposit down that they give back to you when you return the knives. Look at all the whiny complainers find one that say oh they didn't give me my money back when I returned the set.

  • i was just hired by them, and trying to figure out the same thing before i waste more time

  • Why do I think Naomi is hot?

Watching her dance at 3:33.... awesome!

    Is it just me?

  • So basically if you don't really have any feelings for your family you will suceed? Thats the feeling im getting here?

  • yeah. i just found out about this crap an hour ago. i was one of the poor souls that got hired earlier today.. i'll have to call them up tomorrow mornin sayin im going to europe for the summer. jesus

  • ROFL Oh Lord!! I was hired about a month ago and never went back lol they called but go the good old voicemail amen?? LOL

  • Justin Donald must have a big dick and hairy balls...

  • ok vector defenders....i did work for a month i did not want to be a quitter i tried so hard so hard and not a god damn pay..... and i am at the top of my marketing college course ...my professor says i have a lot of potential i have all it takes to be in marketing and be successful....but I also have a heart and a good soul which separates me from all vector workers who get money off of their family and friends ripping them off to make some guy at the top rich.....

  • You caught me. I get paid to post.

The saddest thing about the internet is that anyone can anything without the knowledge to back it up. Do some research not speculation before posting your opinion as a fact .

p.s. Since we're posting stuff without knowing anything about them. I predict that you will live your life miserable. I don't wish that for it's just that attitude is that of quitter.

  • Please stop. Nobody believes vector anymore. Answer these questions if you are so sure about how good vector is

    1) they said they wont hire everyone in that room, they hired everybody

    2) they gave only 2 min of interview and you are hired why???

3)They promise one job and you end up doing another why????

    its wrong very wrong...

  • @armenianpr each manager is a independent representative so that may of been you experience but that's not how the company runs, but on a side note not everyone can but any type of person can do well at vector, and how do you know everyone got "hired" for one we don't hire anyone, what? everyone got a piece of paper? we do give a leaving piece to everyone that doesn't mean they were all "hired" i guarantee not every one in your interview was in your training so that's not true

  • lemme ask u a question, do they pay u people to say how good vector is? how much do u make from a couple of minutes video? isn't it enough that u bullshit to all the people u visit? or once u start bullshitting, u gave to do that everywhere?

  • they do because my manager told me all of the marketing that vector does. ive worked there for 2 weeks so far and ive leanred about it enough to where i can say the only reason why they hire a bunch of college students is so they can get rich off of your family and old friends. yes the knives are very good but ive recorded countless hours in team meetings and other things without pay not to mention all the gas they make you waste for the three mandatory things a week you show up for

  • you have to sell cutco products (knives) to old sports coaches and family members. these people on the video don't know what their talking about. cocaine is a hell of a drug.

  • c-c-c-c-c-c-cocaine!!!

  • this is like telling you could model when you have rotten teeth, wakeup people... why do you have to put your family and friends numbers down?! targeting to teens... think about it..

if your thinking to do this... do me a favor and google this...

vector scam click the very first link....

  • High fives wooooo yeeeee

  • Ooooooooo,,,getting 'high-fives'....Wow!! Wish I could work there and get high-fives!! Certainly better than a paycheque.

  • LMFAO

  • @ProbertFire lmaooo

  • its all a fucken pyramid scheme

  • If your comfortable lying and taking advantage of low income familes by offering them overpriced and overated knives then go ahead and work for them. Told me to tell people to take a loan from a bank for them to afford knives.

  • I dont understand where the whole lying thing comes into play... Everything you read to the customer while your training, which means reading it word for word from the training manual, is 100% true. If someone could please give me a specific example of the lying that goes on please tell me.

  • YAAAAY jump around like your high on ecstacy and bang those giant golden dildos cuz we LOVE selling overpriced knives and making so much money we can't spend it fast enough!!! and lets flood the internet with how great cutco is YAAAAAY....losers*

  • where do you work? honestly?

  • Hey No lie I work for vector all branches are not the same so the people who talk shit about the company should speak more specif cause are branch does not charge us to do anything we work and get paid well so just be more specif on what you mean cause you can be taken to court for putting a bad rep on a company or business that is not 100% true!

  • actually freedom of speech you can say whatever the fuck you want your a fuckin douche and im gonna rape you.... see? i cant get sued for that

  • No Freedom Of speech not mean you can cause a company to lose business jus because you assume or make a statement about something as a whole! there is freedom of speech but there is also reactions to actions! So speak wisely ! Im gonna rape you is a threat! so trust me you can get in trouble for saying that to somebody! lol Ay that shit is over priced though!!

  • i agree that it has to do with specific offices. but i pulled out of vector just today. i got hired just yesterday. then i figured out... this is really fishy.

  • yeah they hire so many people its rediculous!!! cause they getting paid big money for people to go out n bust there ass to sel these knives and for only 10% its not worth it to me!

  • well. like i said, it depends on the offices probably bc the office i was at some people didn't make it through the first interview. so. yeah. i'm thinking if you're good with business and don't care about lying to people, then vector is a good place. i fit neither of those qualifications.

  • You probably wouldn't be a good politician, then.

Vector is good in teaching people how to sell stuff. That said, selling things is one of the most morally derailing jobs you can possibly do. It's damn near impossible to meet a salesperson who is 100% honest about whatever it is they're trying to sell.

Start out at vector, leave, get a job at a car dealership. You probably will have the most bendable morals ever, but at least you'll money.

  • You'll HAVE money...grammar's atrocious today.

  • WELLL haha. never intend on being one for starters. secondly, i already pulled out of it.... like way back. haha. but what you say is true and what i should have done to just get quick money, but i'm too lazy to do the door-to-door sales. even if i would just be doing practice appointments.

  • omg fuck the knives! nobody wants ur god damn knives! people hate vector knife salespeople!

  • so ignorant, Vector on the resume offers me so much, while 98% of all other college students have kinkos or mcdonalds on a resume, yea good luck with that!

  • Wow, Im a vector sales rep and the guy who trained me, Justin Donald (0:10 seconds into the video) is in this video. So I guess they werent bull shitting me when they said they gave me the guy who was in all the videos they use to train the managers. Damn I love being in the st.louis branch.

  • vector is a gay sex trade company. do not go there or.......you know

  • hahahaha

  • I'm convinced they're dealing coke on the side. There is NO WAY that the people that are there can be that peppy all the time.

  • Brainwashing is a hell of a drug!!!...

  • LMAO at the video --- HAHAHAHAHAHHAAH. Trust me, I have been to 2 of the 3 "training days" they offer....RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE!

  • You negative anti Vector people amuse me, you're just so miserable at your other jobs!

  • finally somedody is telling the truth about how good vector is and the rest of the people who think vector is a scam, your mother is a SCAM

  • Bullshit propaganda video. FUCK VECTOR!

  • I worked for Vector for 2 years and was a top rep (top 25 in the NER for 3 consecutive campaigns) and District Manager - it's an extremely deceptive and secretive company..for a reason, folks. LOVE how they have to post positive PR messages on YT, ROFL.

Anyway I'm looking for people to help me in my 'war' against Vector lol - if you're interested check out my channel and the Website linked therein.

  • Cult

  • THIS IS A SCAM

  • I found these definitions enlightening, especially the second one.

    1. (math)An element of a vector space.

    2. (bio)Pathology An organism, such as a mosquito or tick, that carries disease-causing microorganisms from one host to another.

    3. A force or influence.

    4. (al ciada)A course or direction, as of an airplane.

Hey...these guys have a pyrimidal scheme in saudi arabi pushing box cutters, think Dick Chaney has stock in them.

  • People that fail or dont give something a try will always say its a scam or that its not good. Also for people to listen to those who havent actually worked for the company are truly dumb. why not listen to those who actually work. Better yet, why dont you get off your lazy ass and go in for an interview and just maybe you will see how it really works. but you probably wont because you all just want to critizie without knowing anything firsthand. Food for thought

  • complete bs

  • vector propoganda.

  • If they are recieving such great communication skills through this company, I would think they would be able to sound convinving and no like they were reading off a piece of paper.

  • Lots of pretty words but no hard evidence to suggest anything they are saying is true.

Did this video say anything with substance? Any hard facts? Usually when companies try to market themselves they talk about what the company does, not how the company acts.

I bet the 3% that does make money just think it's because "they work hard".

    Father figure? LOL!

  • Hard Facts:

    - Vector did over $190 million in business in 2007

    - I have sold over $140,000 worth of cutco in a year and 2 months

    - I am 19 years old and have made over $70,000 working with this company for a little over a year

    - You're a douche who wasn't successful and wants to blame the company instead of considering the fact that maybe your own abilities and work ethic might have played a role in your failure

  • Right on brother!!! Ive sold over $753k to date since Feb. of 2002. Keep up the hard work, it pays off if you really want to stay with the company!!!

Best (aka West) Houston Ballers District Manager

  • They give high fives because they are ripping off naieve kids.

  • these kids r not being held captive to work for vector.. they LIKE doing it, better yet LOVE it.. they make WAYYYY MORE MONEY THAN U and work wenever the hell they want around cool ass ppl.. fuckin hater .. go flip burgers and get paid 6.50 an hr and then ask whos being ripped off

  • You've managed to accomplish little more than prove you are both hateful, ignorant and incapable of intelligent conversation.

    good day

  • Dude u just dont know. 6.50/hr? try 15.30, there are plenty of jobs out there that pay well PER HOUR. Vector does not conduct itself ethicly. Do you know how many people they try to hire? And how many people actualy stay with them? there is a reason why so many people quit. And ps, u dont make more money then everyone else.

  • Hey,

I have added your video on my blog. Let me know if this is fine for you. I am trying to inform people about vector marketing, please join the survey and let every know about vector marketing.

    Thanks

  • My manager....my office... o.k what about the job details?

  • oh, by the way, this video does not explain shit about the job. hmm... look at more vector videos before you apply.

  • i was an assistant manager for vector marketing for a couple months. at first when i got the job i was excited until my boss explaned the pay. he said that they take half of the money i make and keep it in a seperate account to save it for me. well, i just quit because i decided to take a different job. i ended on a good note except for the fact that they kept half of my pay. i worked with vector as an assistant manager for 2 months and made 72 dollars. yay!

  • I made over 50K last year working for Vector. It's definitely an amazing company. If you put the work in, you'll make money. period. The people that are complaining about the company are the people that should stick to flipping burgers and bagging groceries. Someone has to do it! I'll just keep selling knives to your parents :D

  • I can only wonder on how much dick you sucked...

  • dont be jealous you little faggot.

  • 2% of all vector reps will become fsm, the others will either quit or just be in the middle of the pack. This cutco crap has been around for along time, and the market is getting thinner and thinner. These "glory" stories are becoming less frequent. The average rep will make less than 100 dollars in a week. Not to mention all the gas you will be wasting to get to places. I really wish i didnt take the job, i regert it, its a scam

  • you have to spend money to make money, hate to break it to you. Gas is a tax write-off, so is phone time. Just because you have to work hard does not mean the job is a scam. Welcome to Sales.

  • right on. i just finished my training for vector today and did my first appointment tonight. definately not a scam.

  • No, but saying that they give a $10-20 base appt. when you have to make the phone calls and travels and training all on your own time IS misleading. I've never seen another sales company do that- unless it was a scam. And frankly, door-to-door salesman really isn't good experience to an office environment. Also note that this video is produced by Vector, and therefore is going to only show the best side of the company. I think there's enough evidence from a google search to show the other side.

  • yep, because Google contains a lot of well researched, fact-based information. Get the facts straight and form your own opinions versus relying on hearsay to discredit a reputable company. Btw, how many other sales companies have you had experience with?...IF you've even made an HONEST attempt with Vector before forming such an opinion.

  • Google contains a lot of both well researched information (like the article I found where a chef compared a host of top name knives including Cutco) and useless drivel. Google is a search engine, not an encyclopedia anyway so google contains no information on its own. And honestly? I've interacted and worked alongside the sales divisions of both Tripwire and Daimler Trucks Inc. so I do have some experience. Anything related to doing a job is work, so you should be paid.

  • its not misleading because they are telling u upfront everything.. they do not have hidden rules or things kept from u..if u like it do it if not then dnt, its NOT a scam, its called sales and if u research sales u will see its not the easiest job but it IS rewarding

  • But is it true that you have to list family and friends to sell...

  • then quit u retard

  • =( the problem with most sites reporting on vector is that none of them are impartial about Vector. Apparently some people do well however many people also come off worse according a few sites dedicated to the company. This video is obviously from a select group of people and, why are the interviews all from Wisconsin??? -_- From this video, you can easily tell there is something being distorted because what company is perfect?

  • Because it's one of the largest offices in the nation.

  • Obviously no company is perfect, and there are definately some regions that it doesn't sound like they are doing so well. But I am having a blast in the New London, CT office and we have a lot of people just like the people in the video. Someone I work with is actually the #11 rep in the region. That's freaking sweet! But the best part is he isn't the only successful one. Most of us are top reps for the entire region, not just new london, CT. (region = new england)

  • I got hired but I don't think im going to go to training cause im selling knifes i just stick to working at best buy

  • that doesn't make any sense, but I get what your trying to say

  • Vector isnt really a scam, its just fuckin jacked up. This video doesn't tell you directly about the job, its just propaganda. They have a system to get these young people to market FOR them.

At training the managers follow guidelines to not tell you too much about what the job is really about.

They just act positive and get you "hyped" up (even though it didn't work on me) to sell knives by making an appointment (cold calling) and visiting older married home owners to demonstrate the product.

  • ohh and u forgot the worst part of all.. making unlimited amount of money

  • "unlimited amount of money"

You do realize there are not even unlimited amounts of money on the planet, right? And who are you caling names, exactly?

    PS-Get a job

  • Yeah, this is all vector propoganda.

  • I applied to Vector, and don't worry, Ive read all that there is to read online. I'm gonna go to my first training today and see for myself. This video is pathetic. Instead of sucking up to your nice managers why don't you ACTUALLY describe the JOB experience of what the ACTUAL WORK entails? Misleading.

  • Good luck. I went through with training and stuff... spent 3 weeks in vector marketing. it was an awful experience as the managers use SALES tactics on you to deceive you into doing shit for them. its horrible. They should treat their workers as humans, not customers. If you wanna know more... i've commented on so many other videos and typed a shit load of stuff thats wrong with vector. Search up vector marketing scam on youtube see xriaxismx's vid and MnMProductionEG's vid. DOWN WITH VECTOR!!!

  • Yeah so I just came back from what was supposed to be my first day at training. I didn't even bother going lol, just as I was getting out of metro I decided it's a much wiser step to go chill with my friends. SO I did just that. Thanks for the heads up. By the way, are you ACTUALLY from Burkina Faso? If so, that's amazing, I always wanted to meet someone who is :O

  • YAY!!! good for you =D the job wasn't worthwhile for me. It was a waste of my time and effort. And trust me... i put a HUGE ASS amount of time into this job. It wasn't even worth it. those bastards.
