This game got a 7 at GameSpot. It was when I played it that I realise how underrated the game was. This was indeed the best experience I ever had in computer gaming. Though I also enjoyed Risen and Gothic 3, Gothic 2 shall be my number 1. Arcania is definately the worst of all...

Along with the baldurs gate series, gothic 1 and 2 were the best fking RPGs ever. Too bad RPGs are not like this anymore. Maybe Witcher comes close but thats about it.

There was day i hatet my friends cuz thay played Gothic2 ON A LANPARTY!

so i hated the game too for a long time, after a few years i diceidet to play gothic 2 cuz i was bored of all my other games... (just for a try). now i know why they was playing this on a LAN-party b'cuz ITS THE BEST GAME EVER! it was like a drug for me! never seen a better atmosphere, gameplay, epicness till these days!
