This is a lot like the argument "You can't say this artist/worker isn't good at what they do, because you couldn't do any better." It doesn't seem like a very solid argument to me.

Think of how much better the Iraqi citizens are now without having to worry about a mental dictator to gas them, or being shot by people on the streets.
