It's a wheel kick common in Kyokushin Karate fights named Kaiten Geri. this kick also famous by the videogame character Jin Kazama from Tekken (4 onwards). There are far better examples. We can quibble all day about terminology. I've read people raging back and forth for days "It's called a Question Mark kick!!" "No you idiot it's called a Brazilian kick!!" etc etc. I have no interest in that. It was a great kick that was hard to pin down.

The video owner probably would also like to know that what many people are starting to call a spinning back kick is really a spinning side kick. This variation is with him throwing his upper body to the floor to cause more velocity on the kick. Pretty spectacular KO. It is probably only use in sport fighting, but cool none the less.

In kickboxing if he is on the ground after the kick, it really don't matter. I would say it's more just really hard to actually land this. It takes a little bit of luck and a mistake from your opponent.
