the best way to create a gap between you and the defender is by doing a hard step back that usually free up some space and then put a high arc on the shot to make sure you wont get blocked.. thats how i shoot my jumpshots.. and also just keep practicing thats how you can improve your jumpshots theres no easy way...

As a matter of fact 50 inches is possible for me. It's just a whole put in story when program throws a 4 year work with all your moneys spent on a gym membership and all the supplements.

Hey man I'm a lefty too. We sometimes have a slightly unorthodox shot. How old are you? You might just be too young to shoot 3's reliably. When you develop more muscle mass it'll get easier. Just concentrate on the range where you can keep your shooting form consistent, not out deep where you're chucking the ball more than shooting it.

If you have a solid midrange jumper and you can learn to put the ball on the floor and drive, you'll be a dangerous force even without a 3. EX Monta Ellis
