I'm 40 years old here in 2011 (soon to be 41)and glad that I got to experience the 70's and 80's. The young kids today, unfortunately for them, will never get to experience life without constant access. They'll never experience life without the Internet, cell phones, i-pods and whatever future technology comes up. Ah, the good old days when things were simpler and there was actually some distance in life. Gone and will never come back.

@raydeen1 I am 28 and I have got to experience those days, maybe not to the extent as you, but they were there. When I was in highschool, beepers were the "cool" thing, no one had cell phones yet. And in my early 20s everyone had the cell phones with the green screens, no smartphones or internet access. When I was in HS we used to use those old Apple computers with the green screens also. I remember when Cable didn't have a display menu telling you what show you're watching.

Gosh. I was born in '94 and I still wish I grew up in the 80's. Everything seemed much more real back then. The TV shows were more family-oriented. Charles in Charge is probably one of my favorite shows from the 80's.

I was born in '85 but I was too young to know what was going on. I wish I had grown up in the 80s too! That was the best decade of movies and tv shows. Even though there was a big recession or whatever I still think living in a time without cell phones and the internet was much more real. Kids actually went out and did stuff.
