  • It's pretty noisy. I think a bit of a thoughtful box with sound absorbant

  • I fucking laughed when it started :)

  • Epic fail!

  • I think it scans and cleans - thus it sucks...

  • Rofl the sound this thing makes is hilarious. Sounds like a router bit is about to come down and rip its way through the book.

  • Until it cycled - I thought the first part was promising

Once the pages were separated - I thought something would be walloping them to the right machine gun fashion - at 14,000 pages per hour

  • just a use of nothing and futile machine

  • I doubt a library would want something so loud in their building. I'd say it was a start, but begin again from scratch.

  • What an horrible, slow and noisy contraption, the pages are not even scanned lying flat. Don't they teach design, efficiency and passion for technology at Georgia Tech?

  • but thats just stupid....

  • too much energy used for this scanning

  • @okio03 Exactly! And parts will wear fast!

And in addition, it can probably wrinkle pages in some situations.

  • @okio03 Is that seriously a concern when you're archiving?

  • it's cool, but in the time it takes to do 2 pages, you could probably do 8 or so

  • And what exactly is the buzz saw for then??

  • it's way to slow , other book scanners on the market are better .

  • LOUD!

  • Hahah, that's crude.

  • looks great, how much is it?

  • I want to call this a RARE-1.
