Italy was not on anyone's radar in the group stage. All eyes were on Brazil, Argentina, England and Germany.

They weren't given a chance after drawing Brazil and Argentina in the 2nd Round groups.

But this was the game when they woke up and nothing would stopped them from hereon.

Gentile really did a number on Maradona, but Italy played well overall and were deserving winners here..

AemiliaPaulla is right you know. A huge percentage of Argentians are of Italian descent because so many Italians emigrated from Italy to Argentina in the period 1900-1930. Look it up on google. It's true. Argentinians are Italians living in Argentina who speak Spanish.
