  • and the train cascades backwards...

  • Do u cedar point geeks hav eto come and ruin our videos, we dont do that on yours so leav us alone are you that jealous

  • six flags and cedar point are similar theme parks because most builders and designers design for both of them okay!

  • The train cascades backwards *serious face*

  • six flags is shit

  • search: Dont Move to New Castle... its a crazy ass video about the niebor hood KIMBO SLICE GREW UP IN! KING DA KA is in to...i almost didnt ride th bitch for the video it looked so fast lol

  • lol.. whats is up with all this coaster rage? i see it as this... things are made, then others improve on that given idea. regardless of who's first, or who's better, the competition between the competing parks equal a win for all coaster fans. the whole one upmanship cant be bad when it comes to people who loves coasters.

  • @rawkusrex thank you for the first logical post

  • omg

  • i think this they fixed top thrill so wouldn't rollback

  • lol there was a sign that said the coaster always doesnt go all the way

  • I wish it'd go backwards when I'm on it

  • Cedar Point should make the first 500 foot non-launch coaster, and break Kingda Ka's near 5 year streak for tallest coaster

  • OK, here: first of all, Cedar Point obviously has the best collection of coasters in one place-no debating. Why is it every time Cedar Point breaks a record, a few years later Six Flags does the same thing? examples: raptor, mantis, dragster, mean streak, Six Flags didnt get the chance to break a record with Millennium Force, Cedar Point broke they're own record!

Intamin AG may have made both, but you have to order a coaster, which Six Flags did just 1 year after Cedar Point. 'nuff said.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! i have been trying to tell everybody this and no1 understands

  • @ferrett6- there's a few thing s wrong wit Ur statement .............raptor came after batman the ride at six flags great america mantis and riddler's revenge have too different layouts dragster and kk nothing different...... Texas giant came a year before mean streak......... enough said both companies have taken ideas from each other

  • i see your point there. i mean, it really doesnt matter that much, but im tired of dumbasses just saying "but its taller and faster!" yeah, you're really gonna notice the extra 30 or so feet. and most havent been on both....me included.

  • @lildeadman21000 clearly u r a SF lover which already says enough about you. Being the unique amusement park CP is, when Raptor was installed, there weren't any B&M inverts in or around Ohio so CP built it for the park goers in the area. RR still took the stand up idea and uh oh look what happened the year after, SFKK stole Mantis' layout but mirrored it to make it 'unique'. Kingda Ka is an absolute recreation with a small hill so it could hold the record. They couldnt even make a new layout! HA

  • @cps6290 six flagslover til the end....in case u forgot it was batman the ride was the 1st inverted rollercoaster, so if it wasnt for six flags raptor woudnt exist, the mantis comment,i'll give u that,as for kingda ka i dont agree bcuz top thrill was a prototype and kingda ka was the final project ....bottom line is kingda ka does hold the record so u can bitch and complain all u want on how dumb it is idc.if six flags couldnt make a new layout then explain nitro, el toro, the chiller bizarro HA!

  • @lildeadman21000 u already said that and it's understood but u must not have comprehended what I stated by saying that Raptor was the only B&M invert in the area, that is why they built it, and no idiot, if it wasn't for B&M, Raptor (as well as Batman) wouldn't exist. And how was TTD the prototype of KK? LOL did u forget that KK experienced more down time in 1 season (last season) than Dragster has since it's debut! And the thing about last season is that it was KK's 4th season! HA!

  • @lildeadman21000 by the way, Nitro's layout is almost the same as Apollo's Chariot. Once again Six Flags took the idea but made a couple more hills and some turns...With wooden coasters, it is easy to have a unique layout as long as it fits in the area you want it to fit in. The only plus about El Toro is it's an Intamin Prefab which is one of the best wooden coasters IMO. The Chiller was unique I'll give u that but look how well it lasted. Not even 10 years. Which Bizarro?

  • @cps6290 both of them.........but u failed to mention that they both were designed by b&m and they do that all the time

  • @lildeadman21000 well no shit, so I don't see the point you are trying to make by saying those coasters were a new layout when they were debuted!

  • @ferrett6 Thank You! Amen! 'nuff said is right! Six Flags tries to pass Kingda Ka off as a unique ride because they added a stupid ass hill at the end of the ride! hahahaha Six Flags is pathetic

  • @ferrett6 its just competition. Without it, both cedar point and six flags would not thrive as much as they do.

  • @ferrett6 dude theyre competing rollercoaster companies, of course once or twice ppl will use dirty tactics. Don't lie when i say this, i bet youve cheated at a a game right? its the exact same thing

  • @CheesyNachoTV

    doesn't make me like it any more (;

  • @ferrett6 you dont have to agree with me.

  • @CheesyNachoTV

aha i know, just said i understand the tactics, doesn't mean i like it.

  • @ferrett6 debatable. But its just competition..all theme parks do it

  • @ferrett6 That's right- Cedar Point is the best in the world! Represent OHIO!

  • @ferrett6 I think that Six Flags Great Adventure has a better coaster selection than Cedar Point.. Cedar Point doesn't have a flyer, a floorless, a B&M Hyper.. They have the same things other than that, minus Millennium Force. So you can look up your facts. Thank you, have a nice day.

  • @ferrett6 Superman: The Escape. All I have to say. Also I'd Argue SFMM's Collection is much, much better...

  • the 2nd hill, you dont even realize it. You just feel like you are going straight

  • does the second hill have huge air time?

  • preety much. i feel like im gonna fly back =]

  • ttd was a prototype for kingda ka. so one didnt copy another. that should end all the retarded arguing

  • what!!!???? ttd was ordered by cedar point and then six flags ordered it soon after becasue they liked the idea it was tottally a copy move!

  • Another reason is they are both made by the same company. (Intamin AG) So really it's not possible to steal your own creation. And maybe Intamin just wanted to share the Kingda Ka for people know don't have the gas to drive from Ohio to New Jersey!

  • Not really...

Xcelerator (Knott's Berry Farm) was the prototype for Top Thrill Dragster. It was made to be a smaller "test" of the Hydraulic Launch (which both TTD and KK use). Once Top Thrill Dragster was made, Six Flags wanted the record, and so they made Kingda Ka.

  • couldn't have said it better myself...

HENCE "SIX FLAGS COPIED CEDAR POINT IN THE CREATION OF KINGDA KA!"

  • @cps6290 lol... how did they copy it?

  • @imemeofp1231 Like any coaster enthusiast, if you have any clue about the amusement industry then you will understand. Or you can just read what ferrett6 said, and that will give a big hint as to how Six Flags copied/copies Cedar Point ;)

  • @cps6290 stfu.. nuff said

  • wow it wasn't even close to making it

  • ceder point has way more coasters than this park and dragster was before this one so it was a clone!

  • omg there made by the same people there both awesome rides god stop fighting

  • i hate it when people fight over that KingDa ka is a copy of Top Thrill Dragster there both made by the same damn company the company is called Intamin AG

  • i Know,me too.

  • @hery12 thank u its rlly dumb

  • @DubbyDo08 me too it gets me so pissed when people say that like really

  • @DubbyDo08 actually top thrill dragster is a copy of kingda ka asshole. haha jk.

  • @enzo1135 Top Thrill Dragster (2003) preceded Kingda Ka (2005). If we REALLY want to get technical, both were copies of Xcelerator (2002) in Knott's Berry Farm, which was a platform for both mega coasters to follow. Cedar Fair, which owns Cedar Point and Knott's Berry purchased the first hydraulic launch coaster. Six Flags mostly copies Cedar Fair.

  • @emauriceharr that is true

  • @DubbyDo08 Both coasters also had the same designer, Werner Stengeland. How do you rip off your own product? Isn't it evident when it come to coaster wars, "money talks?" I'm sure it is safe to say Six Flags paid to have their coaster of similar design trump Cedar Point. These are people who FAIL to do research and think on a logical platform.

  • @DubbyDo08

    because we have no life.

abd as i explained, they may manufacture it, but one has to order the coaster. and the park can tell them a design if they want.

  • @DubbyDo08 Yeah; it's 2 different names in a different location.

    I agree with

  • @DubbyDo08 Both roller coasters are inspired by the roller coaster XCellerator in Knott's Berry Farm. It's smaller and slower, but it's the original of this kind.

  • If you listen closley you can hear the motors give up right as the cars are about to go up the huge hill.

  • it didn't work

  • id say theyre the same coaster kingda ka is higher but honestly el torro is way better that kingda kar anyway

  • That didn't even come close LoL

  • It's a good thing Kingda Ka could never get stuck at the top like Top Thrill Dragster.

If you notice, the tophat on TTD is a lot wider than on Kingda Ka.

Kingda Ka is desgined To either go it's designated way or rollback, never to get stuck.

(or from what I have read)

  • Yep, improved technology ftw. (TTD is still better though... O_O)

  • why? kingda kas faster and bigger

  • Just because it's 36ft taller and a few mph faster doesn't make it better.

    TTD has a better theme.

You can ask pretty much anybody this:

    What's a Dragster? People know.

    But ask...

What's a Kingda Ka? People are stumped, it's a tiger, and the name is supposed to mean "King of Coasters" but how obvious is that?

TTD is all around a smoother ride, KK is only smooth in like the front.

Better view at the top, its an amazing view of lake erie.

But i'm running out of letters so i can't so everythin

  • ok.. cool... i like both honestly... but i think kingda kas bigger its just my opinion... but u got some good points... and the theme of kingda ka is "shit ur pants" lol

  • The only reason Kingda Ka can not get stuck on top of the tower like Top Thrill Dragster has done many times, is due to the fact Kingda Ka has the magnets on the top of the tower that will pull the train over if part of the train is on them. Both towers are the same, the only thing that is differant is the height.

  • can any one help me please please im tryna find this show can anyone give me a link it would be help i looked this up on youtube and it came up in a different language and thats the only one they have please somebody help

  • i went on king da ka yesterday, it was my first time, me and me my friend were riding and it felt like we were at the top for a long time then we started rolling backwards one of the funnest things ever.

  • I heard that Kingda Ka has more rollbacks then top thrill dragster

  • other way around. ttd has two to 4 roll backs a day. kdk has only about 7 ever scence it ran. those freekn magnets at the top bring it at the top on a roll back

  • make that 8. i witnessed another one today.

  • i think your wrong. I was there yesterday and waited 4 1/2 hours to ride this because they had "Minor technical difficulties"

i witnessed AT LEAST 4 rollbacks yesterday alone from this ride.

(but the waiting is definately worth it)

  • HOLY SHIT 4 1/2 hours!?

damn u had some time on your hands

    i applaud you

  • ttd has way more rollbacks. a lot of videos of them. and a vid that watches ttd get stuck at top.

  • exacially man. ive been on a rollback before on ttd. it was fun

  • where can I find the full episode of this? I went to National Geographic and they said they didn't have the video. How did you find it?

  • i get the video from my friend.

  • can you give us the link?

  • Why does kingda ka make that sound when it launches? What is that water shooting up from the launch track?

  • 1. they take the horn off because of noise complaints from nearby residents.

    2. because of the hydraulic fluid.(how did u see the water?)

  • @hery12 The water spray from under the track is actually a cooling system. The coaster is launched with a cable pulled with hydraulic pressure, and it gets so hot after each launch they spray it was water after the train has gone by to keep it from burning. I watched the launches in real life and when the water hits that cable it starts steaming. Pretty cool!

  • where can i get this video at cuz i want it

  • What Show Was This??? I Forget I Remembering Watching It Though!

  • National Geographic Channel: MegaStructures
