The UKDM Honda Civic 1.5i had 90 hp up to 1997 and 114 hp from then on, ALL Honda 1.5 engines are VTEC-E. Cars were badged as VTEC-E up to 97

and from then on as VTEC.

see a video How does work 1,5 vtec engine or something like that... If the car has 114PS it is 1,5vtec... there is also 1,5vtec-e, but it si newer one and it has 90PS.. (-e) in enocnomic, but it´s too long to write, that it has the stronger one also... it is for low RPM.. till i think 2500 RPM it is omething like 12v and it takes about 6l/100km

1.5i and 1.5iLS Civics are NOT V-TEC, they are V-TEC-E which, as said before, are not the same!

The guy from Honda is correct, 2 mins using goggle would show you that.

stop Ek3 civic hatchbacks and coupe's are not vtec, they have a system called vtec-e, basicly its the economicle version of the startard vtec and use a low profile cam between 700-3000ish RPM. If u have a Ek3 that u know hasn't had a engine swap its not a vtec

well i gota 1.5 lsi coupe n its not a vtec. the only vtecs are da esi and the vti, 105 bhp standerd not 2 vad for a first car. get one lol

i have got one - the hatchback model and its not a vtec.. the vtec as far as i know are one the esi and vti.. might be different for the saloon version of the lsi, but mine is not a vtec.

Honda civic 1.5 vtec, 84kw.. first went out in 1995, for that time, one of best engines... it IS VTEC!!!!

wel iv got the lsi vtec and it is reli nice and quick i just got an exhaust on it aswel and sounds sweet, guna b racing it soon. amazing round corners aswel i planted it round alot of difficult corners and it wont let go lol

Aright mate i have got a full system exhaust cold air induction kit and a 4 branch manifold but i took that back off the car it changes the vtec noise to a crap ripping noise which i dont like
