  • You should contact Kherri Hines! Please try to do so or seach for her on facebook. John Marler

  • I DONT KNOW WHAT UR SAYING MEN, TXU ENERGY IS THE BEST ELECTRICITY COMPANY IN TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • champion electricity their number is877-653-5098, get the 1 yr plan at rate 8.3.6

  • it's still going to move but every hour you need to see if the numbers change, the office the are cheating by letting someone reset thier meter, i told txu about someone that was doing that they told me it wasnt my business to worry about that and they werent concerned about it, well good luck fighting it. i have the same problem, but if you can switch to chamoion they have the lkowest rates 8.3.

  • your an idiot, if you knew anything about how the industry works, txu just bills you it's your TDU transmission distribution utility that reads the meters and sends your kwh your usage to your provider whom ever you choses to be and they bill you, and did it ever occur to you that perhaps the office is on a commercial meter!! they are billed in kw not kwh which results in higher bills unlike your residential meter, turning off the power is not going to turn off the meter it's there to obtain kwh

  • I just logged onto my account & got the same shock u did! I got a bill for $356 without having changed any of my energy using habits. I live in a 3 bdrm, 1 story home that averages out between $140-$160. After having an "energy saving" thermostat installed in my home thinking it would help bring our bill even lower, now this. My neighbor lives in a 2 stry and got a bill for $400, even worse, she hasn't even been home in 2 solid months!!! Explain that

  • Goddamn! I live in a 1 bedroom, and it only goes to 50-60, and i STILL think that's too high. You have less shit then me wtf!

Oh, btw, TXU cut my POWER, for not paying a previous bill, on a different apartment that I never lived at (my parents did) I paid mine (mine parents didn't...so why cut the pwer to the smaller place, then the place they didn't pay for? BS!

    I'm glad you posted this.

Something cleary is fucked with your system that's FUCKED up.

  • I used to work for txu in south texas it's a total scam! everytime someone gets ripped off I always use the term they got txu-ed.

  • if you have a smart meter you know you can go to the tdsp page and register it. Then you can monitor every bit of kwh from the website.

  • The more electricity you use the less your bill is, in vise versa.

  • man i have them and had a bill for one month that was 300% more than every normal month and nothng was different.. an encore man even came and changed it that month so there had to be something goin on but wheni call i have spoken to 4 supervisors and they all boil down to "well call encore and ask them what happened"... f#$k TXU i have had them for like 15 years too.... wheres the customer loyalty.. and i work ina call center.. btw there was no extra appliances that month than any other..!!

  • sounds like someone has taped onto the lines from your meter at your expence. I would call power company and demand inspection to make sure the output of your meter goes directly to your main breaker and that someone hasent taped to the meter before your main breaker.

  • you do know that TXU does not read your meter right? TDSPS read meters TXU just bills you for it. If you dont like the readings on your meter, then contact your tdsp or have TXU do it for you

  • actually i work for txu as u can see on my utube profile, if u can i can check ur

    case

  • ok send me your meter point of delivery number so i can check your case look for a number POD and i can check

  • @nessnake123 Are you serious? I dont kno you from a can of paint. You prolly work for TXU lol.

  • Are you serious? I know people who are paying $400-$600 and more every month on electricity simply because they refuse to leave Reliant or TXU. These people are struggling needlessly, when all you need to do is shop around. It's like choosing to buy candy from the movie theatre or Wal-mart. It's obvious what people on a budget should do. If you don't want to do the research in this age of information, you WILL pay for your ignorance. For starters you can go to CutMyLightBill (dot) info.

  • is more difficult to make a youtube video than call to the company for a reread on the meter, jaja, and i can not believe someone that has some appliances and not connect them,

  • @nessnake123 I did call em, got kept on hold forever on my daytime minutes. They chagerd me and had me wait a couple months to tell me that my meter was "within regulation". but i keep things unpluged because it drains electricity keeping them plugged in when they are not in use. but i switched and im good now. bill was $47.00 this month. same meter, same appliances, same patern of energy use. that dang near 400% decrease. not a mistake... if these meters are as "smart" as they say they are.

  • february may have been cold. but that only matters if i kept my heater on "auto" to keep my apartment at a consistant temp, well i dont, so the the cold weather is not the explanation. And if the bill is usually around 50 dollar, an increase of over 200% is not by chance. common sense is all it takes to see something unethical is at work. but its my opinion untill proven otherwise.

  • @gwalla3403 You are dead wrong and refuse to go down the correct channels to get the truth. I am done with this. Have a great day!

  • A company this large cannot afford to "scam" residential customers because the fines and media implication would be unreal. Mistakes are made and if you believe there is an error, it is not TXU Energy "scamming" you. Call Oncor and get the meter read sorted out or have them explain it to you. $178 isn't really that high of a bill, especially if you're on a high rate. TXU Energy offers many different plans to lower your rate.

  • @BucketheadLS1 actually companies that large do scam ppl. enron, sub prime mortgage problem, money breeds greed, just the way it is. and the so called "smart meters" are the avenue that allow them to do it (SCAM PPL). when you control something that ppl HAVE to have, that makes it even easier. i do understand your stance about it but i dont get is why my opinion intrest you so much. either way im convinced.

  • @BucketheadLS1 "It's a flaw in the system, and we knew that," said Randy Dieterle, senior manager of PG&E's SmartMeter system.

What happened, according to Dieterle and other PG&E representatives, is that Vanderhorst's SmartMeter was not transmitting a signal as it should, and so the utility's computer system automatically filled in the blanks with data patterned after his past power usage, or that of customers like him.

    NEED I SAY MORE??

  • @gwalla3403 This is not uncommon as this is called "estimating" your usage. Had you not cancelled so quickly, you would see this can be rectified by calling Oncor. Again, this is ONCOR...not TXU Energy. Energy bills you for the usage Oncor sends, period. If you can't accept this point, we have no discussion. While Oncor's smart meters do have a few bugs, they will correct incorrect reads and will come out to check the meter and make it right.

  • Additionally, while Oncor's smart meters do have a few bugs, they will correct incorrect reads and will come out to check the meter and make it right. Estimated reads are also "Trued up" over time, so you never end up overpaying. If you refuse to call Oncor and discuss the issue, you really have no complaint. You could even called TXU Energy and dispute the reading. There is a process to get Oncor involved.

  • @gwalla3403 You need not say anymore! "automatically filled in the blanks" says it all! Thanks for pointing this out.

  • @BucketheadLS1 hahaha that sounds nice but the truth is that it is bullshit I used to work for txu and scam people all over south texas. the money was great though!

  • @BucketheadLS1 Uh companies that large that the only ones that CAN get away with scamming people like that. 178 for his one bed room, is RIDICOLOUS. I have more shit, lights on ALL the time (i have a thing with all ights being off), and my shit NEVER goes up past 70 (I use TXU) But TXU has cut my power off 2 times, for nonpayment (i share account with my family who has a different house), they don't pay and I do, I get my shit cut off, and they don't. Bullshit.

  • You are a buckethead. Electric companies SCAM people all over the US. I'm getting ready to start a class action against one now. Your an ignorant fool...or an electric company employee. Oh, sorry...that was redundant.

  • Even when generation (now Luminant), TXU Electric Delivery (now Oncor), and TXU Energy (Retail) were all under the TXU umbrella, Retail and Delivery could not "scam" or play favorites because they were still governed by unbiased third parties in PUCT and ERCOT. True, the company was broken up and names were changed in part because consumers like yourself confused TXU as being "one" company, but they have always operated in 3 distinct and separtee manners.

  • Again, I can assure you there is no issue at your apartment. $178 is not an extreme bill, even in a 1 bedroom. February was very cold. Your meter read case is unfortunately uncompelling because you are comparing apples and oranges. 1) You don't understand the intricacies in how to read the meters. 2) The office is using a different meter than your apartment. 3) Smart meters are more complex than you are making them out to be in your comparison.

  • Sorry dude, but you're still not getting it. It's not about the name...deregulation didn't change transmission lines, but that's not the point. The point is, Oncor and TXU Energy are completely separate companies just as TXU Energy and TXU Electric Delivery were,.

  • @BucketheadLS1

i did my research and fund that out aftr my video posted, however...Before electricity was decentralized in texas there was no oncor. its was txu. it still is, same old stuff just a different name. oncore didnt come out and run new electrical wires that deliver electricity. so its still txu.
