Nice catch ClaireMS16! Your right.....it's open strings. I put a C in there, on 5.....all those open strings in the sheet music made me think that was a C. Thanks for the correction. Nice to know some people are paying close attention to my playing.
very good i'm studying guitar in school and i got this book in the mail it is so hard. i think you playing it shows how talented you are.. got any good advice for someone who is just starting who wants to play etude 9?
If you're just starting, I suggest you stay away from Etude 9 until you get some technique in your fingers. Try to remember this: if you spend some time at the beginning being thoughtful about technique (i.e. - proper activation of a string, economy of motion), then you will give yourself a foundation for guitar playing for the rest of your life. If you just attack difficult pieces at first, you will ingrain bad habits.

Very nice indeed. But what chord are you playing at the rasguedo ? Isn't it just open strings ?
