I would love to know whether this sport/fun is held at any other state ( in the USA ) that you know of and or what clubs to look up that might offer such a sport on the east coast. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the Vid!
@123456789114 It's foam and at those distances....the pellets usually pass through or stick. I could be worng though. ;^) Go shoot a foam cooler at the same distance.
"Gotta be goin' 50 mph"; LOL quail can accelerate to 60 mph in a short distance, skeet doubles have gotta be more of a challenge, but i love the idea of shooting airplanes (it's just illegal where i live) Ha! One question: where can i buy one of those "indestructable" planes for my 6 year old son; he can break anything!

Looks like fun. To the guy who thinks its a good way to get shot or hurt, I think the same thing about bungee jumping, parachuting, Tour de France racing and about a gazillion other ways you can be hurt.

That's a hard angle to keep your swing on. It's just not right. I shoot upland wing and skeet very well, but when I shot this... it was just wierd. (and difficult as hell!)

you guys that are diss'ing the 1000 bird dove shoots in S.America don't know what you're talking about. It takes some serious skill to be able to continue shooting after your arm/shoulder go dead (which happens somewhere around the 500 bird mark).
I hear ya on the 1000 bird club, i think those people ought to see the amount of birds down there before they spout off. I went 1144 with only 1 bird boy & I was extremely tired.

@daveisdiving This is on privite property. Relax. No one can get shot in the lay out. People are in stands and no one is in the plane you fool. Do you own a firearm? I would guess the answer is no. Becasue if you did you would know the rounds or shot only goes in the direction that the barrel is facing.

we could buy remote planes cheap at the PX in Nam and once i =n a while take them out one of us fly the others try to shoot them down with auto weapons. This looks like fun
Fun video...my buddies are headed to Cordoba Argentina this November for the annual dove shoot. If you shot gunners have never tried this, your missing an opportunity to really pull the trigger. One year in Uruguay I dispatched 2,047 doves in a single day...with two loaders (bird boys) and two Benneli auto loaders, plugs out, I went through 5,400 rounds!
Was doing it at beach in 1979 with Artillery Anti Air Bofors 40 mm cannon at Army Training, R/C plane was a 6' wingspan Red Baron.... fun video, thank You!
Takes a lot more skill to keep that plane in the air than it does to hit the plane with the guns thats for sure lol props to the pilot

Most shootes do not lead it enough. Clays decelerate shortly after launch. These plans maintain speed as they pass.
